Hi, great video, very helpful! Can you please advise what to do with the unused cash? Is it easy to exchange it back to other currencies when you leave at the airport? Thanks.
I’ve actually heard the best thing to do is exchange it at Hotel Ali in Marrakech and then just pay for everything with card at the airport. I also think you can exchange it at the airport for a slightly worse exchange rate, but I would do that before going through security because I don’t know if there is one on the other side. I personally only had like 40 Dirhams left so I didn’t bother exchanging back.
This was only the case in Marrakech and we Moroccans know about this and ashamed of how they behave, so it's not only towards tourists but also towards other Moroccans from other cities. All what you need is to be a person about decision and its not only in Morocco but in whatever country you should know about the place where you going don't expect all people will help
Yes very useful. I wouldn’t ever visit 😂😂 not a place for me. Getting hounded by people for money!! No cards No big amounts of cash Best tip for Morocco…….. Don’t Go
Nice work. Sorry you missed out on the riad guesthouse experience in the Medina. I was always so glad to return to my gorgeous historic riad, and to its calm and quiet after a long day roaming the souks and hanging out on the rooftop terraces. And honestly, I found the Marrakshi to be some of the best people in the world. 🇲🇦🇺🇸
Very useful video! Thank you. Just the video itself shows how overwhelming the medina can get.
You’re welcome! It’s definitely an amazing place but can be a bit chaotic at times. Thanks for the comment :)
The currency is restricted not closed. You can take in up to 2k per person. Avoid the agro of getting money when you first get there
