A lot of covers for Xenophanes didn’t change the vocals to actually sound good with the song, so I applaud you for making it actually sound great on top of the amazing new instrumental.
I think one of the reasons why I love this cover is because not only it changed to my fav, Sonic (I'm more of a Sonic fan than Mario, not that I have anything against Mario), it changes the instrumentals to be Sonic themed. Making the instrumentals also more simplified, which I like. I always loved the idea of simplifying something to make it simple yet still amazing to it's more complicated counterpart. I've been listening to it for the past 3 hours on repeat and not gotten tired of it

So here’s how I think the song would start (the locale and BG and stuff) The song starts with Xeno leaning on a tree in GHZ (transformed as sonic) at the start. Similar to Tail’s section in the original sonic.exe creepypasta before the whole chasing thing. His eyes are closed as well. Where the vocals change to the normal Exe vocals Xeno opens his eyes to reveal the black eyes with red pupils. When the chase starts, the level starts burning (similar to the transition from Angel Island act 1 to act 2 in Sonic 3) with BF running away from a fully transformed Xenophanes.
I’m not even gonna lie even though this doesn’t sound good as the Lord X cover I still replayed this a lot this is really well made and really cool nice work Sawsk keep it up

My only suggestion woule be to replace BF with Tails and basically make a reskin of that mod with references to the original sonic exe game. It starts off with Tails looking concerned while "Sonic" is leaning on a tree with his eyes closed. Suddenly though, the world changes once the chase begins. Green Hill becomes the Hide and Seek level. In order to escape, Tails has to dodge a lot of fire, and a few pits, until reaching a warp ring that he jumps into which is across a long gap. At the point of the song where Tails hides could have him behind one of those metal boxes, both of which are references to a specific Sonic Exe game with voice acting and an ending where all three victims survive. I think it was Spirits of Hell but yeah, theres a lot of potential.
