I did a sl20 run with a deep/raw/fire build. Beat the game then invaded in Farron Woods with this weapon and destroyed a 4 man team who all sent me hate mail. It was glorious.
Do you still have the hate mail? I'd love to see it.

The spiked mace was my baby on my first two play throughs. 10 play throughs later and I can't put down the astora greatsword 😮💨

Was never a big fan of AGS on a strength build, but both Spiked Mace and AGS on a Hollow/Bleed build is 😚👌

It has the same R1 and R2, ao hopefully Chase will take a brake and do Morne's Greathammer as the last weapon. Seems like no one wants to see it anyway.

You didn't have a dedicated showcase for Spiked Mace but you DID cover it in one of your early Strength Weapons showcase videos.

tbf it's really cheesy when people load in with a crossbow and interrupt your emote/tear cast. I expect atleast a little honour in the arena. I don't give them a bow after the match if I win

One of my absolute favorite weapons. I even go to 21 strength on my DEX builds to use it one or two handed.
Doesnt the damage fall off if youre a dex build and you put most point in dex?
@@shinren_ it's actually pretty strong sharp on a DEX build you get an AR of about 575 2-handed and an AR of like 565 1-handed. It's actually stronger 1-handed then a 66 STR build is but you lose about 25 AR when 2-handed compared to a 66 STR build and it's just straight up better sharp than refined on a 40/40 build.
Spiked Mace was my first love. On my very first playthrough, I picked this weapon up early and it carried me through most of the game. Great weapon for low to mid-level strength builds. When everyone else has straight swords, you can hyper armor through them for the big bonk combo.

Chase have you ever tried putting a blood gem on caestus and then buffing? Perseverance and start mauling. Just something fun
Once I invaded a Havel in the rot pit with the Giant Flies in the Painted World, wearing full Armor of thorns and the Spiked Mace with Carthus Rouge. The Havel guy had like 2000 dmg over his head from the bleed maggots. I literally looked like a Hell mosquitto knight with giant flies allies, and the guy didn't want to fight at all. But the atmosphere was way too evil for me not to end him. Took me a single WA + Heavy combo, and the bleed finished him off.
TLDR: Use the Spiked Mace with Carthus Rouge when the area boosts the bleed (and be an evil dikwraith).
reminds me of the old days when there's no wex dust, lot of fans will go to the same area and try to invade chase for a duel :D sometimes we fans even jumped into each other lol

I love swapping to this in a gank situation, the hyper armour you get on GH, the weapon art, the swing arc of the 2h r1, its such a good gtfo weapon. I've used this plenty of times to quickly turn 3v1's into a 1v1. The stat reqs and even the weight are so nice tht i can use this on my lvl 45 invaders with no issues
Not gunna lie these are awesome and you’re doing great work for all my future builds.
And here’s my push for the Immolation Tinder. A friend of mine uses it and it’s a monster in PvP, at least 1v1
He's actually done that already, but technically it wasn't part of the Weapon Showcase series. He's also done the Spiked Mace before, twice before this.
Dark spiked mace at 30str 40fth/int has ~700AR, it’s absolutely insane. Crazy on a pyro build

My favorite thing to do in the arena is cast vow of silence, it’s hilarious watching people panic because they can’t cast tears of denial

I will say that for the heavier ultra weapons their rolling r2 attacks are amazing for roll catching. Nobody ever uses them, so nobody expects them. They’re also a great way to avoid parries, since you can’t parry a rolling r2.
On my attempt to build an OP online character I did a strength build with this and was able to barely use dark moon blade. That true combo with the DM buff was almost always a one hit ko. Good times
Hi! I have a question, fextralife says that lightning and DM buffs are interchangeable and partly experiencing that, I can partly confirm that, can you explain why people hype this buff so much? Thank you beforehand :)
@@ravenpines the damage is comparable yeah but I love the look of the DM buff lol. That's my only reason hahaha. I do switch to the lightning buff when I need that kind of damage but the glowing from the DM buff is too cool imo 🤣
@@ravenpines I believe part of the reason is because Darkmoon blade adds dark damage, which is generally considered better than most other forms of damage due to it being resisted less

It took me until my 4th playthrough before i realized that the Spiked Mace actually fucking drops.
At this point I'm rooting for whoever Chase is fighting because he's way too good 😭

if you run enough luck to max out bleed effect after any stray hit, if you get a full combo off again im pretty sure its guaranteed bleed proc if i remember correctly. i used to use 2h maces a lot in pvp and this and the frost mace from the first boss procs are a lot easier to proc on ppl that you'd think if you spec/play for it. and it fucks ppl up to get bleed proc plus combo
I recommend St Trina’s Torch for it is unheard of

STR + FTH build. Heavy Spiked Mace + DMB means certain death if you can get the combo off. Pretty much always worth tanking a hit and poising through.

I always wonder, why is chase using tears of denial in the arena. Is it necessary? Really ? If someone is able to break his tears in the arena, he definitely deserves to win the duel 🙂.

Using it two-handed i am suprised at the amount of people trying to parry me ( it is un-parryable two handed as far as i know and saw )...

Man, this weapon is too good. It does obscene damage, has true combo, decent bleed buildup (moreso if you slap on that Carthus Rouge). Easily one of my top tier weapons.

One of my favorite weapons
Try sl60 after pontiff area with enough poise to trade gs with this weapon. R1 L2 R1 is a great estus punish with added bleed buildup for extra damage and the panic effect. Real fun weapon

I loved my bleed build before they nerf the shit out of it. I’m hoping u can’t roll bleed in Elden Ring. One of the trailers it looks like a sword has a bleed ash of war but idk what else it could be other then bleed or maybe it’s arcane. Idk but we got 7 days brother. I’m pumped since ur probably gonna be on ps5 lol. I hope.
