I went on a coach outing and most probably saw all the places Eli Cohen was reporting back about. Many places that were missing from the film. One of my most enlightening days in the North of Israel and the Golan. I went into Syrian military installations and walked in the same rooms overlooking the valley. The building is now just a concrete shell with doors and windows blown out. I also saw the comemerration to his late wife and children. His wife never remarried. I really recommend getting a guide to see the "Eli Cohen Trail". The tour went all over the Golan.
There are no Countries where Governments takes responsibilities of their Spies who Sacrifice their lives and their families Sacrificing for their own Countries and what their Nation gives them back it's only ignorance and pretending not knowing anyone. However, this is one of the Heart Touching story I have ever watched and I would like to thank script writer, producer, director and who has been related to make this film .

Eli Walach was a great actor. I would watch any movie if he is in it. As this movie, it is as close to real story as it can be. Cohen played an important role in 1967 war. The victory was nothing short of a miracle. The time of Israeli-arab wars is over. Peace with Egypt and Jordan has been stable though no love is lost between the countries. Relationships with Saudi Arabia is improving. Syria isnt a country any more and will not be a threat to Israel for years to come. Israel is energy independent and supplies gas to its neighbors and Europe. IDF is the strongest army in the region by far. Arabs are looking for economic, technological and military cooperation with Israel. Israel is the only developed country which doesn't have demographic problem. It has the highest birthrate among those countries. Hamas and Hesbollah are just irritation. They are no threat to Israel's existence. Future is bright for Israel.
