The W11 update removed this I think, all tho I dont think they documented as such ....
its not working in windows 11
None of those options are available on my windows 11 pro. When I click on change passowrd it asks for current and new password only and will not let you proceed without both.
On task bar I don't have the change password option.
Apparently Gates and Co have decided to up the ante.

This tutorial is no longer usable. All the options presented here are gone.
still works with a clean instaltion of windows and a bypass for the email login

I had the same problem all I did was turn off on the sign in options page under additional security "for improved secuirty, only allow windows hello..."
the optons weren't avaiable in the first fix, but didn't need them with the second one

If you are still having trouble with the password. go to settings, account, your info and click sign in local account
this is from 3 months ago and it's already out of date. dear lord i use my laptop really only in my home. no one else is around to touch it. I don't need five million ways to log in.

So not sure if people figured it but none of these options was avaliable to me but then i got it on the main settings go to account,Your info click local account then you have the option to remove passowrd.I hope this helps people out.
That only helps if you know the password and are logged in. I was using a PIN and now it's not an option and can't be changed from the start button.

For me it just opens a microsoft account window and wants me to change my ACTUAL Microsoft account password idk why they'd use the password I have on my account for my PC but whatever
Actually I am facing a problem
I want to remove my windows 11 pin
But while changing it ask to enter microsoft account password but when I enter the correct it shows that the password is incorrect
So what should I do 😔

Tried this on 9 Sept 2024, somehow the first option works for my six years old laptop.
i had none of these options after trying the method with cmd prompt
No longer up to date as of August 28th, 2024. Followed the steps and it's no longer applicable.
it is my second attempted but this time its worked thanks a lot ....
So this is disabling password for microsoft account or what? Not only for the current machine but for online account too?
