It's time for my second reaction to K-Pop (and also my second reaction to Blackpink)! "Kill This Love" was every bit as much fun as "How You Like That." The girls are incredibly talented performers, the dances are top tier, and the visuals are stunning. I'm falling in love with K-Pop! I'll definitely be checking out some more artists as well. The way they handle transitions so smoothly between different styles/genres of music is what made me a fan. "Lovesick Girls" is my favorite video of theirs - "Love to Hate Me" (no MV) or "Hope Not" (no MV) or "Whistle" are my favorite songs.
Two other great ones to check out are WHISTLE and DDU-DU DDU-DU!
Hey Molly! Just to clarify the meaning of the song, KILL THIS LOVE can be looked at as a "relationship-ending" song, but its message is really about being introspective and changing yourself for the better. If you watch the four girls and read what they're talking about, they are each describing the reason why they get into toxic relationships. They realize that they must "KILL" this sort of behavior in order to have a healthier relationship. Jennie, on the black and white swans, discusses yin/yang, she feels that in order to have happiness there must always be sadness, and she knows that she is destined to repeat her mistake. Lisa, the "cereal killer" (sorry, couldn't resist) believes in quantity over quality. She wants it all, even though love to her is a short, sweet sugar high that leaves her feeling empty and needing more. Jisoo, in the church, realizes that she is weak, her stronger future self destroys her with a flaming arrow. And Rosé, driving the car, also causes her own destruction, running herself down in the road, the license plate on her car reads "EGO".

Check out Dreamcatcher, they are a kpop group who uses a lot of metal/rock elements into their songs. They mix it with kpop... It's really cool. Start with the songs Endless Night and Boca.

First of all I just found your channel and I LOVE your reactions to Blackpink so far, you just got yourself another subscriber! Jisoo: Lead Vocalist, and Visual (She is the one who had that head piece on and she was near the water, she also was the one who had the flaming bow and arrow. She actually is very Underrated her Vocals are absolutely beautiful and deep and not only that but she is a crackhead and she has a 4D personality, and even though she is a Lead Vocalist she can also Rap VERY well but they don't really give her many Rap lines her first Rap ever was in Pretty Savage!)
Jennie: Main Rapper, and Lead Vocalist (She is the one who sings the Rababaa part sorry I don't know how to spell it, she was also the first one who sang/rapped next to the swans. She is actually very SAVAGE and she is the human Chanel but underneath all of that she is actually very sweet and a baby it is the cutest thing ever, also she doesn't Rap as much as she used to but when she does she goes OFF she is an INSANE Rapper and a great Vocalist!)
Rosé: Main Vocalist, and Lead Dancer (She was the one who was driving the car and who was had the Blonde hair holding the four leaf clover. She has such an Angelic Voice it is INSANE she is definitely one of my favorite Vocalists in K - Pop she literally sounds like an Angel and don't get me started on her Dancing holy cow, she is also known as the Foodsé because she absolutely adores food like this girl can eat anything and won't gain a pound!)
Lisa: Main Dancer, Lead Rapper, Vocalist, and Maknae (She is usually the one with the Bangs she was also the one who was Rapping with the Blonde hair the one next to her was Jennie aka the JenLisa Rap. She is usually known as a Dancing QUEEN because her dancing is just something else but you really don't want her as your mentor because just Wow she is strict, but under all of that she is the baby of the Group she is absolutely Adorable her Duality is crazy!)
I hope that helped you out a little bit, another thing you should know about them is that they lived all over so Jisoo was born and raised in Korea, Jennie lived in New Zealand for five years, Rosé was born in New Zealand but was raised in Austrailia, and Lisa is from Thailand! Anyways I can't wait for you to check out more Blackpink and other Groups/Soloists as well such as Red Velvet, Mamamoo, Twice, Dreamcatcher, (G) I-DLE, Loona, Aespa, PIXY, Purple Kiss, Khan, Sistar, Momoland, GFriend, Oh My Girl, ITZY, Sunmi, IU, and many more! You'll learn about the positions in Kpop groups as you go on. It always confuses me between the main and the lead..lol
Another important aspect of the Kpop industry are their music labels/company. Most of them spent years training under the company before they debut as artists. The blackpink members were trainees under YG Entertainment for at least 4 years (Jennie was almost 6 years) before they debuted as Blackpink.

They recently released their solo debut albums (Jenny, Rose, and Lisa. Jisoo TBD). I agree! They are definitely one of the most stunning kpop girl groups out there and have the talent as well! I look forward to your journey into kpop! For me, I got into it in 2015, and because of the diverse sound, I really don't have any reason to listen to anything else :) Plus, their music videos are INSANE!!!! If you're interested in the full range of what they have to offer then you should react to a blend of their M/V's, dance practices, live performances, documentaries, black vs pink songs, etc.. FYI, Kill This Love is considered a 'black' song while Ice Cream is considered a 'pink' song. The name Blackpink means something, not just some rando name pulled out of a hat 5yrs ago. And thank you for realizing that you're seeing real sets, real costumes, etc.. Countless reactors assume that it's all CGI when in reality, only their debut song Whistle uses CGI.
I recommend their solos. Jennie's Solo, Rose's On the ground & Gone and Lisa's Lalisa & Money plus her collab with Ozuna, Dj Snake and Megan Thee Stallion - SG. I love Blackpink, mainly Lisa (and her Money). I love dancing to K-pop songs, these are great workouts too. If you want to check on a group that I love even more, check on LOONA. It is incredible to see a group of 12! girls, all of them skillful dancers, singers, rappers! I would recommend to start with PTT (Paint the Town). Their choreographies are insanely complicated and they can be in synchrony. Moreover there is a whole "loonaverse" in all of their videos. The fans (Orbits) can see a lot of hints in that video. But one can totally enjoy it even without knowing all the hints. :-)

My favourite singer from Korea is Sohyang. Imho, she is better than all the singers you have reacted so far in this channel because you get chills and goosebumps from reacting to her singing.
