Wowzers Christine! I'm so glad you got to experience this! Not my cuppa but just wow and glad you didn't and filmed it too! I'd still be here at home waiting on your pictures! Lol! Thank you for sharing!!!
First off, I could never do this. I don't care how fit I am....I'd be the weak link in the group. Second, your finger must be feeling so much better. Glad to see it not stopping you because I know that healing process was so much harder than anyone would think.
Looks like an epic trip!! I tell my kids that we are frugal in other areas of our budget so we can splurge on experiences. This looks like one that's worth a splurge!
lol - I am laughing at you only having one LMNT a day! I am marathon training right now (in AZ) and I aim for 8,000 milligrams of sodium daily, minimum. People severely underestimate how the heat impacts the body and the insane amount of salt an athlete needs here!
Thanks so much for sharing, especially the view going up the ladder. Looks like an amazing trip. Not a camper/hiker myself, so living life vicariously through your experience. Amazing!!
It was great seeing your hike. I at one time would do 20 miles in a day. Planning hiking the Appellation Trail that is only 2200 miles right after all of my Foot Surgery's and my Back is doing OK after 3 Surgery's there nothing else they cant do for my back. I have a battery and wires in my back. YES A BATTERY AND WIRES JUST ANOTHER DAY TAKE CARE and STAY WELL ALL
Christine, love your videos and adventures! As somebody who has done a lot of backpacking and mnteering, i just wanted to let you know how easy and fun it is to make your own dehydrated meals! :) you can really play around with things and it's fun to see what combos you can come up with. In fact, it's always one of the highlights of all our trips! And OH my gosh, SO much cheaper! 🤑 Love your videos and inspiration!
I’ve been really looking forward to this video!! That looks awesome! My chacos give me blisters on the bottom of my feet, I really wish they didn’t but I couldn’t imagine actually hiking in them. Pretty sure my bag would probably be all electrolytes and candy 😂
I have a crippling fear of heights! People could never understand how I rode and trained Hunter/Jumper Showhorses!! I never thought about it when I was on the back of my horses, although all I did was jump huge fences. If you don't get your horse to the right spot in front of each fence, then you're screwed 😂🐎and those fences come up fast. Christine you are amazing! You crush it every time!👏
Right after I saw that you went or were going here, I saw a news article about a bunch of people getting really sick there, possibly from one of the springs? I'm glad that didn't involve you or your group!
That happened a week after I was there AND they did determine that it was not the springs but a virus some of the people brought down and spread everywhere
This is on my list , thanks for sharing .. question I think you are about my height but my friend is short how is the climb up and down if someone were to have short legs lol?
When you were packing, I was thinking you will not bring enough food...I know you did not want to pack heavy, but...glad you could buy that frybread though. That downhill looked reeeeeeally steep! Why does the permit cost so much? I am not from Europe, so I don't know about permits in the US.
I so had the same thought!! Each time she took food out of her pile I cringed. Backpacking is NOT the time to worry about calories. I was yelling at Dave each time he suggested she take out food from her pile. But, it looks like a great trip, and she'll be better prepared next time. ❤️
The permits are expensive because there are no roads down to the village of Supai and the Native Americans that live and work there have to get all of their supplies brought in by pack mules or helicopters. It is a privilege to be permitted on their reservation lands.
Loved this whole video. The video of the stairs was perfect thank you. Those meals really are hit or miss, I do like the stroganoff, think that’s my favorite. I’ve never warn Chacos think I’ll try those out. Did burros carry your bags? Extra fee?

My parents got to be missionaries down there a couple years ago. They loved it.

My husband did this in 2014. He sent me a postcard from there. He said it was EPIC! Glad you got to enjoy it!
It is beautiful and I am glad you did this for me. Never in a million years. Thank you.
What an adventure ! Thank you for sharing it! You are my hero!
Thank you so much for sharing this amazing adventure with us!!!
I’m doing Beaver Falls in September, so I have been looking forward to this video! I am doing it no mule - pray for me. 😂

Gorgeous! Thanks for taking me along because I don’t think I could hike that.

Oh boy, I’m from AZ and most people I know like to hike it in April. ☀️🔥

You are so brave, I'm proud of you
Wow, beautiful. Great job.
What dates were you there? Wondering if we were at Grand Canyon at the same time.
This is on my list , thanks for sharing .. question I think you are about my height but my friend is short how is the climb up and down if someone were to have short legs lol?
I have a ? What about bathrooms where do you go lol with all them people😊
This area does have bathrooms to use!
You could make your own meals - dehydrate them and then package them in a machine at home so they all taste good and have loads of salt for you
Amazing!!!!!
What a badass!
What are the sandals you were wearing?
When you were packing, I was thinking you will not bring enough food...I know you did not want to pack heavy, but...glad you could buy that frybread though.

I'll have to do this one vicariously through you! Looked amazing!
❤❤❤❤
How about dill pickles Christine?
Dumb question time. On hikes like this do you just "go" in the woods? Or are their designated areas?
For this specific one, there are designated areas
Next time you have an opportunity to do this hike you will be better prepared.
I had to cover my screen a few times. That’s how bad with heights I am.
i thought mountain house are two servings per bag, beef stew is best
It does say 2 servings per bag, but each serving is like 220 calories!
@christineunfiltered on the chicken and rice ones I add a bag or can of chicken meat .
I wish I was fit
Careful of wild animals, WANNA have a tracker beacon, etc if you get lost, ppl
