as a RABID terraria boi (Although I haven't played 1.4 and am only an older version player atm, but may play the newer version due to just how much I'm missing), going past the insane artwork and sound design, I LOVE all the little details that were shown, from the simple fact of Hewton, or the main 'Terrarian' as we would call it fighting the Eye, has some of the bare essentials to fighting the Eye of Cthulhu. I could probably talk about a ton more than just the fight itself and the stuff that was included, but I'll leave that to other people to figure out. Such as the Hermes boots, I assume due to the dashing particles, as well as the platinum sword with that being I believe the "best" base sword you can craft for the Eye of Cthulhu (Don't quote me on that). Hewton also used the Handgun from the dungeon which confused me at first as that may imply, he fought Skeletron who should be 'harder' than the EOC, but I could easily be looking to deeply into that as it has its own lore to some degree with how the Dryad fought the Eye or saw it at least 11 years ago so maybe Skeletron was one of them that hasn't come back or will? Also, he could have just easily found a chest close to the top of the stairway as that tends to happen and got lucky lol. Going past his weapons and Hermies boots, we see him using the cloud in a bottle to of course jump around more, Aswell as uses the grappling hook to get around faster, although the stabbing into the eye is something I wish base terraria would let us do, but it doesn't :(. That all leads to the Terrarian falling down eventually into an enchanted sword shrine, which was another amazing detail might I add with how he made it the exact same as it was in the game. Hewton then after flashbacks grabs onto the sword, with others coming to teleport him out before the Eye comes down to him, with the sword amazingly not being a dud like it can be in terraria and being a enchanted sword instead, which is infact much better than his platinum sword with its beam and just dmg I believe. He also of course used up a life crystal he found giving himself one extra heart which may or may not have helped him even move around due to the dark atmosphere of how intense death can be in this world, I assume they don't come back to life afterward. NOW, looking past all the items that are shown (and maybe some I missed for all I know), we can look at the eye itself, and how it's probably based off of master or at least expert mode due to its rapid speed and dashes the moment it turns into second form, which would explain how he nearly got one shot (I blame it on him literally having no armor from what I can see, but we don't talk about it lol). I really love how they kept the detail off it spinning itself to transform, although the servants of Cthulhu aka the little eyes, should not be spawning still although it's still nice to see how they retain their masters look with their mouths. Another thing I liked is that Hewton did not simply win, as most expert to master runs for newer people tend to at least take 2 tries to learn how to fight although obliviously people can prove that wrong, it's just I don't see beginners winning, but instead learning and improving upon things. I'm probably forgetting a few things I wanted to talk about, but I wish to end on the note of 'Narrative in Terraria', as in talk about how perfect terraria could be in a story standpoint, with this animation proving that Aswell as the many mods surrounding terraria, with a good one to look at being Calamity, as that has a literal entire storyline in it too, however unlike this animations dramatic and dark take on the topic of the Terrarian fighting the corruption and crimson back and the Moonlord's curse all with his one single life as he watches those around him die, while in calamity, it takes that similar tone but places itself inside a game where you in all cases don't really die, but from the perspective of the bosses come back instead. This is obviously an overused statement for this type of situation, but I see the Undertale idea of Determination the same as Calamity's route, with it being about how much are you willing to take and push through to get to the end the way you want to, with all the enemies ahead of you thinking you are just some freak of nature due to how you are still standing through this all. There are many ways to write a story with terraria as the baseline and I love every single iteration I've seen, and hope to see more, and with that I think I should leave the rest for all to see and think for themselves, as I tend to talk and think about this stuff obsessively. There are probably some or potentially MANY things I'm forgetting to talk about or missing in general, but I think I've typed enough lol, and id personally rather not talk about every single detail and thing I notice or else will spend all day here.
I agree, what you said it is indeed true, the dark take this animation took really maked me want a story mode on terraria, with cutscenes and everything, MAYBE, since they obviously confirmed Terraria 2 is being made, they would kinda make this a reality :)
i must say, the first gold chest in the dungeon (if there isn't a brown one) is muramasa, and if there is it's cobalt shield, so it's probably a consistency error on the animator's part still, the animation is infact, very good
Seriously i think this is one of the best works ever posted to the dojo and definitely the best as of recent The animation was so unbelievably good to a point i can barely even express with words and ontop of that the story was so fucking amazing it had me drawn in right from the start. This just makes my mind go into overdrive wondering what else is happening in this world and what lead to these events and what is to come. Will they defeat the EOC one day? and then what about the evil boss's and what comes next??? God i want to ask for more so fucking bad but i know animation is so hard and astoundingly time intensive even for this many animators to work on 1 project. as much as i want to i wont ask for more so please you absolute legends go and take a break knowing you fucking earned it!
I watched this animation and I went into it knowing EoC was buffed, and this is more like if terraria all of a sudden was much harder. I started wondering how anyone would survive hardmode with this, then I remembered there is a weapon in terraria, Called the Last Terrarian, an endgame weapon. If our protagonist gets another shot, duel welding his newly found Enchanted blade and Arkhalis. He could be the same strength level of the player, and the only think proving it is a weapon that could be named after him. Sounds like a series driving plot point. :) Also I noticed that the platforms repaired themselves after being destroyed in the arena, seeing as Hoiks are a terraria ""Feature"" now, and the fact our Terrarian here seems to still have the ability to build ( doesn't have the Creative-Shock Debuff usually granted during the Old One's army ). Perhaps our last Terrarian here could make use of one to finally out pace EoC? Might break immersion you guys built here in making things feel less game-like; But it would be pretty cool to see it. Also, it seems that the Terrarian in this animation had an arena but was caught off guard, very unfortunate, he didn't get a very fair fight. Perhaps through multiple attempts he can gain resistance to this "Curse" and go up against the more manipulative bosses with his newly founded resistance, The Brain would be a genuine horror Id Imagine, more so than the EoC If were following HP-Lovecraft anyway.
Equipment of our blue guy: Platinum or silver sword (probably platinum) That dungeon gun (it can be obtained pre-boss just needs a lot more work and some luck) Grabling hook (by the looks of it the regular one) Terraspark boots (the cobalt shield can be obtained pre-boss the same method as the dungeon gun, obsidian can be bombed down the others are just exploring and grinding) And a cloud in a bottle The eye of cthulu is probably the master mode one I can be wrong about all of this
As a terrarian, I can see how in real gameplay it would look like. But I'm really amazed at how they kept the housing similar to how a few players would build it.
Bro, I hope you will make another terraria animation series, the great story line makes your animation more epic with a good soundtrack, it is unbeatable. keep it up 👍🏻🔥
To me it is like if we went the hardest mode and since the eye gets stronger, the more players there are, and everyone accept some set characters are players it means op in 1v1. Especially is it is still before wall of flesh early game items.
This is wonderful, loved every single frame of it, and every single person who worked on this deserves such amazing recognition and praise, I wish these people good health and the determination to continue making beautiful works of art like this one they have made, im very sure others who is very fond with terraria would love this and bring back memories from when they had problems with the Eye Of Cthulhu on Maximum difficulty, you made the Monster just like how pretty much some of us has felt like it was. Thank you for this amazing animation, im also working on my skills to make something like this, it inspired me to draw more and learn more. I hope you animators remember to rest well and care of your health, we respect your hard work and dedication. Edit: Damn I wrote alot- im kind of a writer soo.. sorry 😅
I love the way that this story emphasizes the Moon Lord's influence on the world, making it a core element of the plot. I also love how this shows how massive the Eye of Cthulhu really is, although it was definitely made larger for dramatic and story reasons.
That recovery team was epic, they could win the war if they had tons of potions especially recall and wormholepotion. Though the druid is devoid of mana now.
The terraria is slowly willing to sword ( also stopping people from saying first :) ) i'm already like 1 minute in and this already looks really high quality and sick (i just really like the art style)
From what I understand, it all started a few (dozen? or even hundred?) years ago, a group of Terrarians had vicious and ugly looking appearances. And in some sort of attempt, they were slaughtered mercilessly. Like what the Dryad said, they were easy to kill before. But some survived, or well one, and because of that, the Moonlord cursed the surviving 'Terrarian' and gave it powers. By which, the surviving (I can't tell, but I think the Eye of Cthulhu was the Terrarian who survived? Or maybe it was that old looking dude in the flashback scene, as I said, can't tell) then preceded to use its will to summon the Crimson and Corruption for revenge, eventually leading to the current situation. The Crimson and Corruption have taken over everything (well, close to everything) which then led to the establishment of the Terraria Kingdom in order to combat such a threat to life. Even so, the Crimson and Corruption are still winning. So in the end, because of a slaughter because of someone's appearance, a vengeful Terrarian fought back and became part of the world's evil. Because of discrimination, countless died. A tale of discrimination and hatred. Truly fascinating. (That or this is just some cool badass looking animation with background given to it. I hope I can see more of this! But it seems unlikely.)
16:16 idk why, but i really like this part alot, the way the the eater and the brain burst out of the ground along with the eye there is something poetic about I cannot explain
This is absolutely incredible. Not just the amazing animation, but also that they went into the lore behind the game to really bring out the true terror of Terraria. The player in this game can become so incredibly powerful compared to the monsters that people forget the true power of the monsters themselves. I'm a huge fan of the sheer monstrosity that is these creatures, and it goes even farther to emphasize the achievements of the player. Or at least, that's how it would be in Hardcore mode, when you truly cannot risk death. And that's just the very first boss of the game.
HOLY CRAP.. THIS IS THE BEST ANIMATION IVE SEEN.. THIS IS A WORL OF ART, THE ANIMATOR(S) DID SO WELL.. THEY SHOW HOW GOOD THE BOSSES CAN BE AND MAKE IT BETTER, ITS LIKE SHOWING THE PLAYERS POV OF IT, I CANT EXPLAIN WHAT I FEEL ABOUT THIS.. (the only thing that *kind of* sucks is the video quality, I DONT MIND MUCH.
Why did I only see this now, why not sooner? This is a masterpiece, not only the animation but the story, the plot, the feelings, the experience, the nostalgia of battling the EOC in second and third phases, but still the victory is within the palm of our hands, we just need to DO IT!
This is just amazing; not to mention the fact that if there are more players in the world, the HP of the boss significantly rises. The mention of "Even thousand-men is not enough" implies a small detail in here, there are more "players" in the terran world than you realize. Meaning it is logical for our boy stickman to lose because the Eye of Cthulhu has more than MONSTROUS of an HP.
Imagine beating Eye Of Cthulhu, Brain of Cthulhu and Eater of worlds but then theres still Bee queen , Skeletron , Wall of Flesh and all the Hardmode bosses. This could be a series XD
Bruh, esto es increible, como fiel fan de terraria y animaciones stickman, puedo decir con seguridad que esto es una obra de arte sin dudarlo, mis respetos a alos animadores de este capitulo y espero que halla mas ❤❤❤
The way Hewton fights the servants of the eye makes him feel like Dante from dmc, like dual wielding a sword and a pistol while also being extremely stylish

I agree, what you said it is indeed true, the dark take this animation took really maked me want a story mode on terraria, with cutscenes and everything, MAYBE, since they obviously confirmed Terraria 2 is being made, they would kinda make this a reality :)
you forgot about the platforms. the terrarian used a platform arena during the fight, which is a really cool detail. 😊
i must say, the first gold chest in the dungeon (if there isn't a brown one) is muramasa, and if there is it's cobalt shield, so it's probably a consistency error on the animator's part
still, the animation is infact, very good
I did'nt expect the boss that i cheese using minishark, boom stick, other melee weapons and stuff from hardmode can get this scary and dangerous
Seeing my two favorite things come together and make such a masterpiece brings me joy
Seriously i think this is one of the best works ever posted to the dojo and definitely the best as of recent
The animation was so unbelievably good to a point i can barely even express with words and ontop of that the story was so fucking amazing it had me drawn in right from the start.
I started wondering how anyone would survive hardmode with this, then I remembered there is a weapon in terraria,
Called the Last Terrarian, an endgame weapon.
If our protagonist gets another shot, duel welding his newly found Enchanted blade and Arkhalis.
He could be the same strength level of the player,
and the only think proving it is a weapon that could be named after him.
Sounds like a series driving plot point. :)
Also I noticed that the platforms repaired themselves after being destroyed in the arena, seeing as Hoiks are a terraria ""Feature"" now, and the fact our Terrarian here seems to still have the ability to build ( doesn't have the Creative-Shock Debuff usually granted during the Old One's army ).
Perhaps through multiple attempts he can gain resistance to this "Curse" and go up against the more manipulative bosses with his newly founded resistance,
The Brain would be a genuine horror Id Imagine, more so than the EoC If were following HP-Lovecraft anyway.
I always thought the Terrarian was wielding a Platinum Broadsword.
I guess the Arkhalis makes more sense
This is really incredible. I love the story aspect of the animation.
Equipment of our blue guy:
Platinum or silver sword (probably platinum)
That dungeon gun (it can be obtained pre-boss just needs a lot more work and some luck)
Grabling hook (by the looks of it the regular one)
Terraspark boots (the cobalt shield can be obtained pre-boss the same method as the dungeon gun, obsidian can be bombed down the others are just exploring and grinding)
And a cloud in a bottle
The eye of cthulu is probably the master mode one
I can be wrong about all of this
This artist made a good job to make the very first boss of the game horrifying and brutal. Amazing work man.
this looks like an actual series...like the mentioning of the eye of cuthulu's backstory...
what i mean is that this looks like an part two of a much bigger and obscure series
Dayum son, this is stellar work. I never thought that cloud in a bottle could be used that way lol.
Imagine if there was an actual anime of terraria, this alone already sets a good example of what it could be like
Pls lord let this be a series omg that was freaking amazing
The concept of a giant eyeball with massive teeth that will oneshot you if it even grazes you due to its size and speed.
Somebody, get JZBoy over here right now.
He'll like this.
he will most likely draw inspiration from this, his current projects are cool too
Yup I love it
bro
the legend appear out of nowhere
bro I was going to say that he already saw it, but then I saw the man himself 💀
This animation is amazing! Would love a part two, but I think they deserve a well earned break after this one.
Terraria anime here we go!!!
As a terrarian, I can see how in real gameplay it would look like. But I'm really amazed at how they kept the housing similar to how a few players would build it.
Bravo! Singlehandedly the most jaw dropping animation I've seen this month. The animators are cooking well, love yall
This... Was astonishing... Truly an amazing work of art... Thank you for this... ❤🌳
Edit: Damn I wrote alot- im kind of a writer soo.. sorry 😅
Invvintyar: a sword made of some kind of metal, Hercules boots, a pistol from a gunsmith, a HP restoration potion and everything else
this is like if every terraria world was mixed all together into one super planet
I expect no less from the dojo itself, it’s absolutely gorgeous.
Masterpiece
The terraria is slowly willing to sword ( also stopping people from saying first :) )
i'm already like 1 minute in and this already looks really high quality and sick (i just really like the art style)
This is just so cool! The animation, the storyline and the emotion by the story are just stellar!
Bro that animation was insane, now I know tha I need the complete terraria saga
If the man who started it is not going to finish it, then we're going to have to finish it ourselves.
But it seems unlikely.)
damn, the dryads were assholes
THIS IS INSANE!
Everyone that did this did great. This is such a nice story and animation and you put a lot of work into it
👌👌
16:16 idk why, but i really like this part alot, the way the the eater and the brain burst out of the ground along with the eye there is something poetic about I cannot explain
Yomi hustle be like.
And that's just the very first boss of the game.
we need more of these!
Wow, perfection. this amount of effort and ideas put in this animation 10/10, would watch again if bored
that was awesome, what the hell. not expecting that animation from a terraria video.
Guessing by the fact that tEoC spawned it's minions in phase two, this was inspired not by not just Terraria, but Calamity mod.
3:59 this is phase 2? I thought Phase 2 was the mouth thingy.
@@Louisnarig Normally, it spwans minions only on phase 1, but revengance mode or higher(Calamity mod) changes that and adds minion spwaning on phase 2
how is this not more popular? this is a work of art
The grapple at 9:30 looks so good
Thank you animators for this beautiful work of art and for keeping the dojo alive and well
Why did I only see this now, why not sooner? This is a masterpiece, not only the animation but the story, the plot, the feelings, the experience, the nostalgia of battling the EOC in second and third phases, but still the victory is within the palm of our hands, we just need to DO IT!
Thats the kind of content Im here for!
Eye of chutulu : "Your dodge are good, but not good enough to me"
This is just amazing; not to mention the fact that if there are more players in the world, the HP of the boss significantly rises.
The mention of "Even thousand-men is not enough" implies a small detail in here, there are more "players" in the terran world than you realize. Meaning it is logical for our boy stickman to lose because the Eye of Cthulhu has more than MONSTROUS of an HP.
The lighting in this animation makes it stand out so much from all other stick fight animations.
This is genius! I hope u do this for allot more games
Imagine moon lord bro this is only the eye of cthulhu
The thumbnail doesn’t do this justice Hyun!!!!!! THIS IS A MASTERPIECE 😍😍😍
God I want movement like this in terraria.
Fanfic on this world of Terraria would be amazing.
Terraria is perfect game to get an anime adaptation like this...
this is the most beautiful terraria animation i`ve ever seen
PLEASE, I NEED MORE
Imagine beating Eye Of Cthulhu, Brain of Cthulhu and Eater of worlds but then theres still Bee queen , Skeletron , Wall of Flesh and all the Hardmode bosses. This could be a series XD
Bruh, esto es increible, como fiel fan de terraria y animaciones stickman, puedo decir con seguridad que esto es una obra de arte sin dudarlo, mis respetos a alos animadores de este capitulo y espero que halla mas ❤❤❤
The animation itself makes me think of Terraria as a horror survival instead of the pixelated game that it actually is... so when's the sequel
when my big brother is fighting the final boss:
OH I FOUND IT I LOVE THIS CHANNEL
God damn man, that was intense. Insane work, Kudos
just imagine the fight with Empress of light or supreme calamitas or exo-mechanisms
if it tackled duke first then it would be more than ready, especially if this one guy overcomes all the previous obstacles
Damnnn this is so good!!
We need the rest of the story.
I have never seen an stickman animation this good
What an absolute masterpiece of an animation, wow
Top Notch ANIMATION !!!
this was amazing, imagine fights animated like this but in hardmode with better weapons, the potential is limitless
Terraria if it was an anime:
New sub
Better than most anime
Это было самое лучшее что я видел на ютубе
This is what we need. Actual stories. Great work
This is what terraria should be, this is a masterpiece beyond man comprenhension.
The way Hewton fights the servants of the eye makes him feel like Dante from dmc, like dual wielding a sword and a pistol while also being extremely stylish
This is why you always wear armor before fighting a boss in terraria
This is awesome! I love terraria animations
