As someone who has done a bodybuilding competition (nowhere near the experience as Adam) I would be lying to say the feeling of accomplishment at the end isn’t an amazing feeling and the look is really “cool” to experience, however, I LOVE the powerlifting advice opposed to the bodybuilding path. The bodybuilding path is 100% at some point not healthy at all during the prep and I have been in the place of the extreme 1200-1400 calories just to keep it moving. It takes so long to get back to the healthy place where you can eat 3k calories again and feel good without packing on body fat. Great show once again!
I really love how much these guys talk about their families it’s really such a well rounded show, great information great topics never dull or boring great job guys!
By Far one of my favourite episodes so far! The benefits of offering that free session is huge! That one small conversation can impact 100s of individuals in this industry!!
Thank you for this issues. Was thinking about this lately and wasn't sure about it. thanks for closing this issue for me (and others 🙂). looking forward for next important advice!!
I woke up this morning and felt amazing. I looked leaner, had tons of energy, joints feel good... everything's great. Increasing my calories and lifting regularly is the best thing I've ever done. I never would've done things this way without your advice.
You guys are awesome. A wealth of experience, knowledge, and common sense is emparted through your podcasts. Social media is overwhelming for many of us with the amount of contradictory guidance, which eventually creates a real barrier in achieving the goals for maintaining a healthy lifestyle. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for simplifying and delivering the information this clearly and articulate for us, the average people who lack the gym or nutrition experience. Thanks to your advice, I started walking more, and I am trying to hit the protein intake whilst aiming to consume only whole foods. I do plan to transition into resistance training as well. Oh, I sleep so much better now ❤. To summarise, you guys are literally improving the quality of my life with every podcast. Keep up the amazing work and continue to educate.
I really like these guys & all the excellent health they provide. But I couldn't take them taking my Lord's name in vain by 40:31 in. Too much for me. And they call themselves Christians. Oh Lord have Mercy on them I pray they stop the foul language in Jesus Name Amen 🙏 😢
@winstonsmith11 Winner! Please email: ann@mindpumpmedia.com with a screenshot of your youtube username, winning episode number, and the email address you would like the program under and we will get you hooked up!
I discovered you guys just a few weeks ago and I've found your podcast so helpful! A huge thank you for putting this out there. I keep looking at your different MAPS programs and can't decide where to begin. I'd really love to win one! I've never had a structured program. Today I just bounce between different lifts without much of a plan.
Love all your content. I listen every morning while I'm working out. My biggest struggle is figuring out where all my numbers (calories, macros, etc.) should be and mindset. I have to rethink everything! HELP!
I agree with the thought that bodybuilding competitions can cause you to be obsessed with body image, diet and body dysmorphia. I am female age 61 and competed last year in bikini. My metabolism got all messed up, still trying to fix.I hope the day comes where I don’t feel so fanatical about body image and diet. You guys are amazing and give me hope 🙏🏻💪🏻.
What are your thoughts on having BCAA during your workout? I like to have a drink with taste and electrolytes and seems like a good way to combine both.
It is insane how much misinformation is out there about supplements. I'm so glad I found Mind Pump way earlier in my journey and was able to avoid all of that
EAAS intra workout can be beneficial but just hit your protein if your serious people! Appetite shouldn’t stop you from hitting .8 to 1 gram per pound of BW. Id recommend the types of food your eating if your having issues, vegetarians are the only ones i can see a legit reason for needing aminos
The answer is simple…no lol If you’re training fasted first thing in the AM EAAs are far superior to BCAAs and both are better than nothing IMO - add some electrolytes and dextrose to that and you’re off to the races If you’re eating 1.5-2 hours pre training then you’re good to go and don’t need anything else
Curious about whether you would also steer a woman away from bikini shows and, of so, whT would you suggest instead? Really enjoy all tje advice and banter about your families!
If you take a shot of protein shake for every time the one caller says the word frame or extension of it, you'd get your one gram per pound of bodyweight no prob! 🤣
About earth-friendly diets: First, it is factual that there are not enough resources on earth to let everyone live like Americans. Second, your protein recommendations are for building muscle, right? So if people aren't trying to grow, shouldn't they be fine with a lot less? Third, cattle/and growing feed for cattle is a >>massive
I have gone down a rabbit hole on these podcasts and I have to say, I so greatly appreciate the wealth of knowledge you all provide.

I hear people talking about BCAA's all the time, and I have never understood if they were worth taking or not. Thank you for delving into this! ⭐
Good evening! I have never tried BCAA's. Glad you guys are talking about this. The only supplement I use is creatine.
Super appreciative of all the info! The personal stories and banter are a nice bonus
The only real fitness podcast out there 💯

You guys are a wealth of knowledge. I watch your videos and can't wait for the next one.
First off, WAY TO GO IDAHO!!!
2nd - love your guy's answer to go for powerlifting instead of body building!!
Hi, guys, came to hear about BCAAs and happily left with the bone broth tip!! Can’t do whey without massive heartburn, so thanks much!!
Omg! Adam!!! Your raising an angel 🥹

I am so glad I found this channel. One day I might be able to afford one of the programs.
Thanks for the info about bcaas. I appreciate all of the info!

What are your thoughts on having BCAA during your workout? I like to have a drink with taste and electrolytes and seems like a good way to combine both.
Great info! I usually hit my goal and take BCAA go to know I don't need to and can save the $
Do you guys have a video out on supplements? Ones actually worth taking and buying?
❤❤❤❤ keep em coming!
So as long as I have the small to medium positive compound effect. I know what I need to do just do what you can to fill in the blanks on the test

I knew a dude that use to read a book bought from Walmart…then return a month later. Walmart didn’t give af back in the day.
Speaking facts per usual 🔥
Sal get the ‘69 Camaro navy blue original tires . Y’all are gonna be like Fast N Furious 😂
If you eat enough protein or even macros in general you don’t need bcaas. Eaas yes I would spend money on
That GTO is sexy! Happy belated bday Justin! Mine was January 26th. 29baby! Aquarius season ♒
The answer is simple…no lol

Liquid eggwhites in my AM Cofee. Costs less per gram than Whey Protein. Of course I focus on whole foods. EAA asva refresment. 🙏🏻👹🏋🏻🏊♀️
Sal, are you taking BCAAs?
04:35 chicken breast is still far too lean. Too low fat intake messes up the hormonal system.

Hip! Hip!
I have 2 big bags of proteïne and I hardly take them. Just feel like I’m taking a medicine

Sal needs to try honey cured yolks
