I've been plotting that in my head, having hiked all this, but certainly not in this way. Several hikes, in fact. That was absolutely amazing, Rachel. 13.08 miles is my furthest, and I know how my feet felt after that. 10 is about it for me. You both crushed those miles. I told my wife Amanda about your analogy, and she agrees with me it's perfect. I'm in a BookFace group, and there is a guy who hiked 30 miles at 2.9mph. I just think at that speed you simply can't take in the views or enjoy it at all. I did one hike at 2.2 mph and had my head down all the way. I didn't enjoy it. 1.5 mph and a lot of breaks to take it in is my speed. The area is so beautiful. I just want to enjoy it. I felt for you with the two closed churches. Back in the day, they were always open. Sign of the times sadly. That was fantastic of Roger to open for you. I've really enjoyed this journey. Thank you so much for sharing.
Hi Christ, thanks for watching and commenting. Unfortunately two stamps missing but I'll claim them at some point. We did well to get as many as we did, especially the one in Bamford. That was potluck! I think this whole trail would be more enjoyable walked over three or four days. We did push it and felt it the next day. It's all part of the learning experience. Yes, more tortoise and less hare, that's the best way to get there! Have a great week Chris, keep bagging those Peak District trigs! xx
That is another wonderful place and adventure! It is so relaxing 😊 I think I’m gonna fall asleep while watching these which is not saying it’s boring, it is so wonderful it puts me at ease and so I can sleep calm 😊
Cannot argue with £6 a night to camp an nice that you bumbled into a Rodger on the trail, everyone trail should have one! It looked great walking apart from the suddenly appearing fell runner and I remember us visiting that church were Little John was buried on our one and only trip to to Peak District about 12 years ago. Lovely scenery and lovely churches and 30 miles in 2 days is dam good going, cheers Alan
You won't find many campsites charging £6 a night. We had an amazing time, despite the huge milage! We got there in the end lol! Thanks Alan. Take care xx
What a great hike Rachel on that beautiful landscape😍 so green and fresh air 🤩camping in there must be amazing experience 😍the church is cool and pretty, the scenery is truly stunning🤩 thanks for this fantastic hike💪 really enjoyed❤❤❤
Thank you! 😃Yes, it was an epic adventure, more challenging than I thought it was going to be. Probably should have done it over three days, it was have been easier but still, a great experience. I hope you are keeping well. Take care xx
Love watching you 3 lovely ladies. Ive got rheumatoid and osteoarthritis but walk as much as i can. Oh id love to do a pilgrimage but it woyld have to be on extremely easy stages
Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment. I do understand that long walks aren’t for everyone but hopefully you’ll get a taste of adventure via TH-cam. 😌
I'm looking round to do a mini hike with my Jack Russell. It would be about 5 miles a day with a dog friendly B&B at the end of each stage. I'd love to do a pilgrimage here in the UK:,perhaps Walsingham? I love history n nice places. I'm powered by Cocodamol +a walking stick. I do enjoy watching those lovely walks u do
Definitely a tuff adventure this Rachel but such a varied walk from edges to towns 🤠👍 You both deserve a medal 🥇 Thanks Rachel for an amazing video ATB Simon 🤠🙏🏼
I love that little lamb on your backpack 😊 I know I use turtle because that’s my spirit animal but my family name means lamb actually 😅 so I felt a bit close to this 😊❤
Those beautiful rocks are amazing! Such awesome place for hiking, the views are absolutely gorgeous. Love the birds chirping on the way. Those churches looks pretty. The sheep on the hill makes wonderful views. Such beautiful hike😍❤️👍👍
I have to admit, I was creamed crackered by the end of it! Probably should have done it over three days and not two. Lessons learnt but an amazing experience all the same. Thank you for watching and commenting. Have a great week xx
Yeah spilt up the route into sections, it would be more enjoyable that way. Win Hill was the hardest part and also the section after Hathersage up to Sir William Hill. Lessons learnt! But its a really good route xx
Hi Andrew, many thanks for stopping by and commenting. I'm pleased to hear you enjoyed the video, it's a great trail, many good memories made on this one. x
A great part two Rachel, well done to the both of you for completing this great trail! Sorry you were unable to get inside all the churches, but as you said you can come back and do other walks to access them another time. So glad you managed to get inside Bamford Church, good old Roger! 😃😃😃👍
Hi Patrick, thanks for watching and commenting. I will get inside those churches one day! I'm determined! lol! Roger was a legend, a Church Warden through and through! Thanks. xx
Been looking forward to this part two. Boo first Church closed, now thats annoying, you were doing so well on the trail. Come on Roger, superb, im glad he let you in, that makes it so much more interesting! Love the border point and the pole dancing! Wonderful trig too. That jogger came out of nowhere! Yes more stamps and lovely verses. We done on the factoring up, lovely weather change, i bet the woods were refreshing! I need to get back into my double number mile walking days! Great tips. Right where is the warden, knock him up, get that Church back open! 👍
Good evening ☺️ I was a challenging hike attempting it over two days but we did it. It was such a good experience and would highly recommend this trail. The slow ascent up to Eyam Moor was a killer towards the end! But the weather and landscape made it all worth while. Thanks for tuning in. Have a great week. Take care 😎
Hi Rachel been looking forward to this! A great video of our adventures - love the shot of me collapsed on the grass at the end, how knackered do I look! 😀
When I was editing this, I didn't realise how much material I had recorded. I left out quite a bit; otherwise, it would have been way too long. However, I have captured all the good bits and the scenery. And yes, I was tiring attempting this in two days, but we both did so well to make it to Eyam! xx
Hi Dan! How's it going? Thanks for watching. It was a cracking trail, many good memories made along the way and very challenging, probably should have done it over three days! There was a lot of elevation. Have a great week xx
