+Snazzy Labs I've denied it on my Nexus 6P all the time and it still allows me to go in the app though. Was just strange I couldn't even use the app without allowing it
+Tim Schofield (Qbking77) They may have the app coded in such a way that doesn't allow denying that permission. Either due to shitty coding that freaks out when something doesn't go to plan, or purposefully to discourage people from disabling permissions.
Every review I've seen of a phone with a fingerprint scanner, the focus is on speed. Of course speed is important, but I would like to hear the other side of the equation -- accuracy, or more specifically, the risk of false positives that might occur in the pursuit of fast recognition times. Someone needs to do a test where several of these phones are handed over to a group of 50 or 100 people who are not fingerprint-authorized and see if any of them can fool the scanner. I'm not suggesting that there is a problem with accuracy, but it seems to me that you should always expect a trade-off between speed and accuracy in this sort of feature. When I see how quickly these phones recognize the fingerprint of the "owner," I can't help but wonder how it does in rejecting unlock attempts by anyone else. I appreciate that it's not easy to test this, in view of the need to pull together a large group. But for me, until someone tackles that, this is a missing piece of the fingerprint scanner aspect of phone reviews.
1:30 here in china they dont give you a transparent back-only case, but they give you a flip-cover case that matches whatever color your phone is in (black, silver, gold or mocca)
ahh, if I could wait one more month to purchase, I could have got mate8. anyway, I'm still very happy with my mate7. good work, huawei. thank you for the review
tim do you ever sell the review phones later after reviews always wondered about this unless your still doing the flashing and rooting site from back ion the days
+Francisco Herrera I guess I'm right.. I saw recent interview I believe one of the spokesperson over CES that its the 5x and not mate 8 going to US. Check out android authority interview
Oh damn. I read somewhere that it doesn't have SD slot. Stock Android is good because then there's no bloat. When I got my Z5 I had to start uninstalling pointless apps right after welcome screen. And I heard that Asus Zenfone 2 had even worse story with cheetah mobile cancer preinstalled and so on.
I like custom rom's like MIUI and so on too but only without bloatware. All those customized factory roms have all kinds of bloatware preinstalled that often times you can't remove without root and some devices take long time to get root. Like my Xperia Z5.
+Ryan M you do know that if every Android phone ran stock android, it would seem boring to some people. Don't you know the Android Slogan "Be together, Not the same"? Stock android is my favorite but it would be so boring seeing EVERY phone run it. There's a reason why Launchers and rooting exist
yes spechially in the camera app and the adapter and cable charger looks identical to samsung's ones and the headphones looks like the one that came with the iphone
BTW, the camera requests location permission in order to GPS-tag photos.

Can't help but think about how beautiful this phone looks.... I hope there are some custom roms for it in the future

Great video Tim, Huawei is making some promising hardware. I'm still not convinced on the software, but Huawei is headed in the right direction.

huawei m8 8
This phone should be a giveaway cuz I want it so bad..
THAT THING IS A TABLET. I have the nexus 6p
I had
Nice phone, only if it had sd card slot and stock Android
it has a SD card slot and stock Android is extremely overrated.
+Falenone me personally I'm not a big fan of stock Android.

notg goodg videogg
Man that skin. Not sure im liking that.
+Ryan M There's a reason why Nova Launcher exist.
AfkarGG yep and there's a reason stock Android exist. There's a reason I only use stock Android
Ryan M Alright calm down now.
AfkarGG oh I am calm.

it looks a lot like ios
chinese people are obssesed with iphones.every phone out of there has to have some iphone influence in it
Lets Disagree to agree
Looks kinda like iOS lol
Ikr
it looks pretty identical to ios.
yes spechially in the camera app and the adapter and cable charger looks identical to samsung's ones and the headphones looks like the one that came with the iphone
Huawei is actually run by a ex-apple director that's why
360p Club
Earphones look like the Apple EarPods
Exactly what i was thinking.
they're kind of like an imposter to apple in a way. the software seems very similar to IOS
Christian Trafford ikr lol, i was thinking that too. Also, the settings app and everything else in EMUI are faintly apple-esque.😀
it's a Chinese company so don't be surprised
I disliked your video Because no Intro song and that's my favorite part of the video
Lol iPhone 7 :)
This is the ugliest android ROM I have ever seen.
terrible. moto g 3rd gen ftw.
