@@selfreliancelife9133 the roar is coming, the deer there from my experience are very nocturnal so even if there's sign on the road edge it's generally not from during the day. Gotta get up into the bush around the 600m mark that's where they tend to be during the day
Hahah. We saw 3 last week on our way in around 6.30 to 7 am both mornings at about the 14 k mark. Do you know about the camp at the end of Waitaramoa rd ? Awesome place to stay bro
bridal veil falls its a bow only area 20min away goats everywhere easy pickings. Drive to end of paved road theres a car park before road turns to gravel hug the farmers fence you will see alot of goats
Yes bridal veil fall is good, but some time I find your get 1 or 2 opportunity to shot a group of goats, some times there's not much. Putaki scenic reserve near waitomo is best for beginners because you can find more groups of goats there and easier to stalk up to (i did a video of that area) I'll be doing some more bow hunting soon when the kids get back to school this week.

Pureora Forest, north block. I forgot what road we went on, but a few places are loaded with deer. I just did short walks because I had the family with me, but if I walk a little further I'm sure I would come across something
Plenty of deer in the pureoras if you know where to look, Try piropiro campsite and then hunt from the roads there.
yup I have no idea where to go 🤣 plenty of signs there, but haven't seen one or two hanging around where I look.

How would I find this camp site?
I forgot what road it's off. But you can camp anywhere in that block
@@selfreliancelife9133 what entrance did you use?
@@taylor_production_studio I went to the north side I think its called.
Hey mate how often do you go out Pureora
Funny I was just there a couple of nights ago. But besides from that I don't go there often. Last time I was there was 7 months ago.
Chur I'm working out there at the moment, see deer most mornings on the road that's at 3 or 4 am in the morning though lol
@@haydennepson789 shot one for me, and then we will edit my videos to make it look like i just shot it, deer might be a bit stiff at that time 🤣
