- Stob Coire nan Lochan Bidean nam Bian | A first frost of the season and camping in cold weather on the mountain waking to everything frozen .A starry night with no moon wild camping in Scotland's Mountains gave great dark skies- however something else was happening in the skies at the same time - if only I had remember to look over my shoulder !! DOH!!

Another honest and thoroughly enjoyable vlog Murray. Well done fella. Every year I visit the summit where my dad's ashes are scattered and I enjoy a wee dram of his favourite, Highland Park. I am sure your mum was looking down with pride on her son as he enjoyed his Benriach. Slange and have a good Christmas Murray.

Just wonderful. I'm watching this late on Christmas day evening, with a glass of Talisker and a warm glow. I've been up there many times in all conditions, but never camped high there. Absolutely brilliant. I’m so envious, I was totally happy with heights, scrambling, when younger, but when I turned 40 , I got Vertigo , , discovered it up at the Walter Scott Monument, with my daughter,.. can’t go any where ,now, near, what your doing, ( Ridges ) I would have to call the Chopper..

It's a chilly New Year's Day morning here in Southampton, and I'm sitting here with a cuppa, watching Scotland's Mountains, which is always a great way to start any day, but in this case a great way to start the year. Stunning night images, Murray (though a shame you missed the aurora)! Being able to do that sort of wild photography is one of the reasons I want to move to Scotland. Happy New Year to you!

Beautiful beautiful beautiful. Your Aurora experience reminds me of photographing an odd looking lens shaped moonrise a few years ago. Found out the next day that the moon had risen in eclipse. Looked back at my photos with an ‘oh! Yeah!’. Wishing I’d paid more attention.

Hi Murray. The timelapse of the Milky Way looks fantastic. It was lucky you had a crescent moon rather than a full moon blasting it's light over everything. That evening light at 10:58 looks stunning. You get a real sense of distance from it. I'm working here in a deserted London right through Christmas and New Year so your vlog is very welcome. Really enjoyed the afternoon light especially on the Aonach Eagach Ridge the light was sublime! and the Astro Murray the time lapse was awesome, such a great place to camp that corrie had to be right up there as one of the very best places to rest your head for a magical night! Omg I was in Glendcoe hidden valley last summer and tried best Scottish stream water. Surrounded by massive mountains was so overwhelming. Thanks for sharing merry Christmas 🤗

Was up there on the 5th of October, fantastic weather and views. But nearly made a big mistake heading down a gully instead of the eastern ridge down from stob coire.
All good in the end,
Lesson learned.
