It's at the point for me where coming for Lemmo's playing is more important than the guitars.

As guitar players, we tend to think of the instrument in terms of riffs and licks. Mike’s playing is so great because he doesn’t do this. He builds soundscapes, songs and melodic lines. I wish I could do that.

He actually knows how to play music, not just play the guitar.
If you don't have a looper pedal, I recommend one. I can't play like him for sure, but it's fun to experiment and build layers.

Do you know what kind of looper?
@@ScarTunes I think he uses a ditto looper most of the time, but he's also used other high tech Loopers with drum settings on them for Thumpin Thursdays. If you're in the market for a looper, they all pretty much do the same thing at the baseline level.

I've always loved jazzmasters and was stoked to find out lemmo was a jazzmaster fan too. All my friends give me shit about it because they all like super strats with emgs 😂

He helps us remembering, that it's all about making MUSIC. forming a one man's Band in a few seconds, with all these beautiful layers. I can't watch one of his video's without wanting to get my guitar en learn from this man. Thanx for your inspiration Michael!

my playing has grown by leaps and bounds since i started watching lemmo , I learn so much every episode , thanks Michael. Oddly enough , dispite the influences , I'm not a big Jazzmaster fan , to me they just don't sparkle like a strat or tele , and too many knobs and switches , but that's just me , Lemmo always sounds good , and it's his thing , so rock on dude. thanks guys.

I don't tune in every day or even week so I don't know if this is how things have been done since Lemmo took over Guitar of the Day. I really like these longer demos. It's great to hear Mike's playing.
perhaps the best demo ive seen on this channel. a lot of the time, i'm bummed to see guitars made for this kind of beautiful, ambient playing being used for power chords and hard rock/metal playing. of course, that's just my taste, but my god! lemmo's playing was just lovely, doing that guitar's lovely tone its due diligence. awesome.
Did Lemmo also get the commission for selling the guitar to the lady who gifted it to him? That would be the cherry on top!
