That concert was back in 1999. That year the mexican government was trying to end the free education system that had existed since the mexican revolution. Many of the kids present at that concert were resisting the government and fighting to preserve free education. You can see the anger after long months of the corporate media trying to discourage them with lies and propaganda. Today public university is still free. Thanks to their struggle, i could get my BA in history at 50 years old, for i couldn't attend college when i was younger. Still i got my education and payed nothing for it. Thank you UNAM students. And thanks to RATM for that concert in those days of struggle.
get over yourself. if you really think thats the reason... you need more history lessons, BRO
@@RichChristy Aww, gonna cry?
zacks grandpa was a revolutionary who fought in the mexican revolution. playing here must mean a lot to him
I wonder what his grandfather would have done if a virus broke out and the government he was revolting against told him he had to stay home with a mask on and stay 6ft apart from everyone unless he took this vaccine.
Now hes sponsored by Pfizer.
oh really, cool
Rage Against the Machine is playing 5 shows in 2020. Spread the word.
Edit: holy shit a thousand likes haha also WORLD TOUR 2020 FUCK YEAH
I'll be at one of them if I have to sell my spleen and first born child!
New mexico here I come
Unreal, but it's true #RATM2020
That's why all these were posted :0
Couldn't have come at a better time!!! #RATM2020
50 years old and having my kids scream down the stairs to turn it down. It's only going to get louder.
If it's too loud you're too old, kids!! (Also, my hearing ain't so great any more.)
Poetry :))
Proper response: "FUCK YOU I WON'T DO WHAT YOU TELL ME!"
🤣🤣🤣
🤘🏼
Not a cell phone in sight, just people enjoying the show. I really miss that.
This song is more relevant than ever.
If we don’t do anything then it will always be more relevant than ever.
speaking of covid...
This is what the politics of multi-culti, stress-free education, secularization of society, "hate speech", political correctness was there for, so that we would become a herd of meek rams and they could easily rule us. I think music like this, music of rebellion, protest songs, will be having its renaissance soon. Hopefully, because I am too old, I can only encourage young people, but the rest is up to them. We can teach, they must act.
@@BOLOYOO You are the machine.
God Yeah !!
This crowd is any bands wet dream. This band is any crowds wet dream. Flawless victory
Nicely put! Thanks
We need Rage Against The Machine more than ever
yeah and they fully sold out to the vaccines. literally did whet they told them
they are there but are silence
I am a grandma and my grandson walked onto my porch to this blaring off my porch this morning..you should have seen his face....irreplaceable...and it opens a dialog into why I love this band...they just get better and more relevant with age..
If they're back the world know shit is gettin real
There are no bands like this anymore.
There are no performances like this anymore.
There are no crowds like this anymore.
It has to start somewhere
it has to start sometime
What better place than here,
what better time than now?!
💯💯💯
ALL HELL CAN"T STOP US NOW
It's staring
Oh! Hell! Can't Stop Us Now!
@@mickz1829 all hell can't stop us now, but yeah
I played hockey. To this day the guitar intro has been the reason for every head I’ve put into the glass.
Look at this. A simple stage, four people on stage with raw power and a message, a crowd who wants to hear this and scream it loud so everyone can hear this.
3:54 Solo so hot even his cap's sweating
The energy in this song never fails to amaze me 🔥
i fucking love the way he stares into the crowd. rage is the most intense gig i ever saw. when the ambulances arrive you know it's serious. people getting surfed to the back unconscious.
Guy's got the sickest vocal presence
Zach de la Rocha’s of Mexican decent he must’ve felt awesome playing in Mexico.
How awesome to see this. Everyone around the word loves RATM I can’t wait till they get back together. I just don’t want to see them at Coachella. Lol.
How could you listen to this and not think "this is the greatest band I've ever heard?"
💯
I've heard Alice in chains
THE BEATLES. But I get your point
Cause Ive listened to a lot of pantera… lol 😂😂
@@davidc5820 not even close lol
No cell phones... good times 😆
Who wants a new album?
Coachella 2020!
HELL YES! 🤘🤘🤘
EVERYONE
Hell yeah! But I kinda have a bad feeling it’s not really gonna sound the same as their old albums
MEEE!
No one:
Video editor: let's put some slowmo on this thing
lol
Hahahahhahah
thetoughones very 90s 😂
fucking loled
LoL
Rock without cellphones...only feelings and jump!!!This is the revolution...
A huevo!!!!!
This song is fawcking timelesss
Maybe this time we'll MAKE it stop being so relatable. Politicians can't believe Floyd's murder isn't just being met with kneeling protests and hastags--finally the people are making the state very uncomfortable. It's a beautiful thing. 🌹✊🔥🔨⚖
Zach is an absolute beast... Just a powerful song.... Morello just kills....
One of the most important bands of all time. I was lucky to see them live at Roskilde festival in 1994. They ripped the orange stage apart like a bombtrack
The crowd 🔥🔥🔥
50 yr old bass player
Grew up in very small town you will never have heard of
Played this song a 1000 times
Never gets boring never loses its edge and means more now than ever
one of the best guitarist I have ever seen...
Jay Kidd you need to check Chuck Schuldiner mate
Reunite in the name of Music
Your prayers have been answered
In the name of dollar :v
No. You miss the whole point of thier very bieng. The use music as a weapon dispell injustice and political wrongness. They would never reunite in the name of music tje would reunite in the name of justice and freedom.
@@LMAO-sp7de stfu boomer
@@LMAO-sp7de next time they will make sure to have a live show somewhere that you will never be able to see, like in the arms of a woman that loves you.
Gran concierto!!!
I am Mexican and I love GEORGE FLOYD!!! He is a hero for all humanity! Rest in PARADISE MY BROTHER. We will forever celebrate in your name. ❤️
George Floyd robbed a pregnant women and put a gun to her pregnant belly not many years prior to his death. Far from a hero. To believe in this BLM movement is to be part of the machine that’s trying to control us. Don’t be a sheep.
Cállate alv
I had the privilege of seeing them in Hollywood in the early 90s before they were big and it was epic🤘✊
I walked into a record shop in 1992 and asked if they had this on cd single and their reply was “ sorry who??”
I’d love to find that man now 😅
One of the greatest DVDs in human history ❤️ RATM rocks 💙
Rage are reuniting!!!!! The world needs a little bit of Rage right now... Anger is a gift 🤘
28 years ago i was 15 moshing to this, now i Can’t believe these guys sounding like 28 friggin years ago Fuck yeah🖕🏾please come down under RATM 🤞🏻

Siguan luchando hermanos chilenos!!!
We need these guys to tour non stop, worldwide, for 2 years straight!
Un mundo sin celular. Se disfrutaba enserio la música
something that I hope to see in my lifetime (currently 26) is people in the audience MOVIN like that. everyone at festivals are recording or aren't comfortable enough to really wild out. I wanna see some crowds moving and jumping and wildn. we need to raise the vibration
Zack de la Rocha is half Mexican so this must of been one of his favorite places to perform at.
He's chicano, son of Mexican parents
His mom is actually half Mexican, half white so he's 3/4th Mexican
th-cam.com/video/LtSSuPYcQI0/w-d-xo.html
try this one, it's a song against inequality & greed, by means of Sharing
Alex Ortega idiot !
Ecatlatoa banana for scale please
Fuck! What a perfect performance 😭
Grandson of a Mexican revolutionary, Zach De La Rocha is a hero for his revolutionary mindset like the Brown Berets (Influenced by the Black Panthers). Viva Issachar! He's an Israelite from the tribe of Issachar!
Anger level 9000+
Can't get enough of this song lmao
this song aged extremely well
bring that beat back, to 2022. CHRIST we need this righteous fury. Everywhere. No more lies.
In another live version Zack says, "some of those that HOLD OFFICE, are the same that burn crosses"
A🥚
Simon k z1.
The Battle of São Paulo! We need this!
Wish I was in the mosh. Excellent.
im genz and i love Range against the machine
Gracias Locos Gracias!! Vuelven a ver lo que sembraron!! Saludos desde Argentina...!!
Hell yeah! One of the BEST singers/band of all-time & one of my TOP 5 favorite singers. I'm FINALLY going to see them live next month after a 28 year wait !!!!!!
there is something special about his headbang that he always does in the intro of this song that always gets me completely taken every fucking time
Me & my kids wanna see RATM so fucking bad they grew up listening to Rage & cried when they broke up we need Rage more then ever

One of the best bands of all time
hands down to one of the greatest frontman ever created
Blast from the past, the 90's are back. Let's do this sick shit again Ratm!
Now we'll do what they told ya! Lol I remember being pulled over with the kids in the backseat on Easter Sunday listening to this song and the officer just smiled and let us go! Ha
This is the first time I "actually" listened to the song. Relevant these days, shame.
this will never get old!!!
Some of those that work forces, are the same that burn crosses
Feel like this guys real you know. He acts a bit nuts, but I don’t think he really he is, and I think he has passion you know. I feel like his hearts in the right place you know. I feel like he’s a good guy, and I like his music.
Iconic.
Love the band. Great song. As an old guy, I love the irony that Capitalism made the band members rich and their music possible in the first place.
CHINGON EL ZACH!!
never gets old..
This song will never ever EVER age.....
2020? Whos ready for RATM COMEBACK!!
RATM 2020: " Give me $500 for a ticket to our reunion tour"

You can’t change the vocal rhythm of iconic songs like this.
Never been more relevant than right here, right now!
