That concert was back in 1999. That year the mexican government was trying to end the free education system that had existed since the mexican revolution. Many of the kids present at that concert were resisting the government and fighting to preserve free education. You can see the anger after long months of the corporate media trying to discourage them with lies and propaganda. Today public university is still free. Thanks to their struggle, i could get my BA in history at 50 years old, for i couldn't attend college when i was younger. Still i got my education and payed nothing for it. Thank you UNAM students. And thanks to RATM for that concert in those days of struggle.

This is what the politics of multi-culti, stress-free education, secularization of society, "hate speech", political correctness was there for, so that we would become a herd of meek rams and they could easily rule us. I think music like this, music of rebellion, protest songs, will be having its renaissance soon. Hopefully, because I am too old, I can only encourage young people, but the rest is up to them. We can teach, they must act.
I am a grandma and my grandson walked onto my porch to this blaring off my porch this morning..you should have seen his face....irreplaceable...and it opens a dialog into why I love this band...they just get better and more relevant with age..
Look at this. A simple stage, four people on stage with raw power and a message, a crowd who wants to hear this and scream it loud so everyone can hear this.
Zach de la Rocha’s of Mexican decent he must’ve felt awesome playing in Mexico. How awesome to see this. Everyone around the word loves RATM I can’t wait till they get back together. I just don’t want to see them at Coachella. Lol.

Every time I listen to this song, for me, it's extraordinary. It's a very subversive song and yet. On French radio, it was in the headlines for a while in the 90s, even 96s. I remember being so subversive in those years, which is why this song is particularly endearing to me.
Now we'll do what they told ya! Lol I remember being pulled over with the kids in the backseat on Easter Sunday listening to this song and the officer just smiled and let us go! Ha
Was that a couple or more drops of sweat coming off the guitarists cap at 3:58? If so, that's pretty awesome. If not, let's just pretend that it was sweat.
