Carlos Hoffgen they’re very similar but when he plays what sounds like a G major chord which in DGCFAD would be the shape of an A major chord he leaves out one finger that would go on the 3rd to lower string but I can still hear the D which leads me to believe that it’s an open D string, definitely could be wrong tho
