- Remember the Norco Shore Saga?
Well, it's over!
Finally, a happy end to the story!
I bought the Shore as my first test bike for this channel which was a big commitment. I had the vision to review it and then turn it into an enduro superbike of the future but...
...I had a load of major problems which we managed to solve over 5 months.
In the end, I had literally one good run on the bike, then we had to strip and return it to Bike24 as the frame was cracked and I got a full refund.
Since then Norco has fixed all the problems I highlighted (so it was not just me moaning!) and has sent out new frame parts and bike components to existing owners changed the specification on the new models, changed their setup guide and manufacturing processes all thanks to my independent review!
This bike was a nightmare for me, but ultimately Shore customers are getting their existing bikes upgraded or better bikes in the future.
This is what I'm here for! #buildbikebetter
I lost loads of time and money on this bike doing all the work, testing, filming, fixing etc. Basically doing a lot of R+D / development work for Norco. I'd estimate a minimum of £5000 of expenses and a half-decent day rate for the work.
So if anybody would like to make a donation to help this project move forward head to my bio to donate via Linktree, Kofi, or buy tickets on my website to support these reviews!
I'm sure Norco has had a good few years of business like the rest of the industry and won Bike of the Year on Pinkbike. Any donations are welcomed from them too, which I will be happy to tell my followers about!

These products are bought at full retail price, and the reviews are funded 100% by competition ticket sales and donations. Buying a ticket not only gives you a chance to win cool bike stuff but also to support more and more independent reviews. This is a community effort, you can support these reviews, or get your information elsewhere which is always funded directly by the brands or through their advertising budgets...
If you like my work, what I stand for, and this crazy Bike Farm project you can donate a little directly to me with Ko-fi. All proceeds go towards this project as I literally have nothing else to do!

Or now directly through Linktree

Thanks to everyone for the support so far! I can't believe it's going so well!
I think this is a huge win for you and everything your building with this community Paul! This is the power of independent reviews, being able to speak on real problems you have and putting the pressure on the brands to make better quality bikes for the consumer. Thank you for everything you do, keep up the amazing work.
Great result Paul. Would be a fitting end of Norco saga if they sent you a bike with the updates
Congratulations on making a big enough wave! Don’t think of the hours as “lost”. You did a great deed for the bike community and heck, it’s now your job!
I’m a new sub after being linked from PB commenters. Great channel and can’t wait to see what’s next
Sad you had all those issues, but like you said, great for the future or even existing Shore owners. Mind blowing that any of these things were issues to begin with. Wish you a better future for your bikes and vids!
Awesome video content Paul, I love your bike builds and reviews. Keep up the good work. Cheers !
love your content, shame about the problems you had..!
Those trails looks unreal!! You handled this whole situation great too!!
I’ve had this bike for a few weeks going pretty hard on it. With the new V4 upgrade. I it came with up and lower chain guide. Lower was not seen in the V3. It also came with a narrow wide chainring. Never had the chain drop from upper pulley from hard riding 6 hours total. Friend bunny hopped it before that once in a driveway and it came off I forgot to tighten upper pulley. Never came off again. Seems like the 2021 shore park didn’t have the lower chain guide probably due to Covid bike supply like the 2023-24 has. Super fun bike!
I find spank 28mm stem for DH forks is the perfect size, and I am willing to change frame size in order to use it.
Good result bro, next step (if you can bare it lol) is to buy the bike again and go for a second round ✅😎👍
Haha, no way! I need to retain some semblance of my sanity!
I'd like to see those linkage pivots disassembled. The bolt must be rubbing on an arm to be causing friction. Its meant to be isolated with a bearing
Absolutely amazing! Thank you!
Hi Ashton, I put money down in 2 different Norco's last year, the new Range high pivot and the Range AL 2 EMTB. I had money in on these new bikes but when I saw them in person and gave them a parking lot test, they didn't pass. The high pivot Range came sqeaking with loose or un-greased pivots, I was bummed because I thought it would be the ultimate shred machine. When my Range Ebike arrived it actually worked pretty good In the parking lot but they had glued rubber to the motor bash plate and it was not secure, the shop refunded me and I GTFO. I ended up with going with a cheaper option from a big bike brand and have about 1400kms of the most brutal west coast shredding on it and yes it's slapped but I still goes and the bolts stay 243 tight.
"Trying to keep this short and sweet" -> 27 minute long video. 😁✌
Too short
This just shows that all that time and work paid off. 🙌 .
Norco directly has been great to work with, on my Sight VLT's problems. Really like how they don't shove the dealer/distributor model down your throat like some brands do. Still prefer DTC, but Norco tiptoes the line well. That being said, I will not be buying another Norco after having 2 catastrophic issues (broken alloy chainstay, bad wire harness causing bike to cut off with no error code) Love my super cheap Norco Search for road riding still.
is the 2024 better ? same color . it’s 55% off now
Great job Paul! Thats awesome they came out and owned it at least. Every industry needs a bicycle Jesus to save the people from damnation... Im def contributing to the COZ. Cant wait to hear some tech talks about the supreme Supreme's custom suspension since you've been posting up clips of you braking it to pieces....? Cheers!
A better love story than Twilight
Awesome work paul
Actually just did the improvement and the chain is continuing falling off from the upper high pivot wheel. Very upset from norco
great video
Nickola better ?
I hope you get your hands on a Range and you slam their shitty rattling linkage - Bikes in 21+ should NOT rattle in anyway, If you buy a new car and theres a rattle, car manfs/dealers will fix it free.(my own experience)
its frustrating so many people and brands just accept
poor quality in workmanship and Service.
I have a 2019 range w/o the idler gear and it is still one of the best Enduro bikes around.
@@228slide im sure, but im talking about the new one.
Nocro should give u the new improved bike
Time to get a cup of coffee
Bike build will be better if you throw more money at it! 😅
they have a new bike named after you. you designed a bike .
Why would I trust a review from a guy reviewing his first retail bike?
Because if you read my website bio you’ll find I’ve been testing bikes for a while in different places.
What. A. Shitbox.
How much did you get paid for testing and troubleshooting their pre-production quality production bike? 😂
Brilliant Job Paul nice one
😂😂 what a crybaby 😂😂
Just giving you guys, the hard working paying customers, the truth, where most media would just gloss over the imperfections to keep the ad money rolling in.
