Well-designed compilation of the four prominent composers. All the five soloists are really excellent. The well-harmonized voices of the choir are also impressive. Thanks for the one-piece upload of this beautiful concert.
So macht Musikhören Spass.
Bel enregistrement. --
The start times of each piece: Dieterich Buxtehude ca. 1637-1707: Fürwahr, er trug unsere Krankheit BuxWV 31 0:00 Georg Böhm 1661-1733: Mein Freund ist mein 11:44 Johann Sebastian Bach 1685-1750: Jesus nahm zu sich die Zwölfe BWV 22 32:13 Nicolaus Bruhns 1665-1697: Hemmt eure Tränenflut 50:31 Johann Sebastian Bach: Seht wir geh'n hinauf gen Jerusalem BWV 159 1:04:45
Aaah, wonderful. I love Buxtehude, and even though I think Cantus Coln might have the slightly better version, this was a wonderful and serene version of the Furwahr. The rest I have less context to, and I loved it. Ton is an inspiration to watch and hear.

Four prominent protestant composers :-)
@@valentincolasMangeon Thanks. They were surely all protestant.
Fantastic music - well performed and the sound quality is extremely good. The accustic in the church room is perfect for this music! Beautiful!

Not every conductor with a white beard is Ton Koopman!!
;-)
hmmm!
But every Ton Koopman is a conductor with a white beard.

The conductor here is Lorenzo Ghielmi.
Bruhns is a best
Yes!
It's a positive organ.
BWV 22 begins at 32:13
Simply wonderful. I wonder what is the instrument which is played by the conductor. Clavichord?
