This discussion is thoroughly enjoyable and insightful! I have just received my copy of Heather Clark's book on Sylvia Plath in the mail today! I regard the nearly one thousand pages as a welcome challenge. The author's contributions to this talk have bolstered my excitement about diving into my reading! 📚

Clark’s bio is an incredible achievement. I hope the death-doomed Plath bio has run its course. Of course other scholars such as Tracy Brain have moved Plath criticism away from this. Palmen’s novel will be next on my summer list.

That was such an interesting discussion - I agree with Connie Palmen that it felt like it was "over in a sec". Thank you.

I imagine Poe was really never goth or even liked Oct 31. pop culture. ev'ry good artist will suffer it. Some ride the wave even when living. Like Berryman you know: the wildman with the drinking and the beard. unfortunately.
