The problem is that unless you have a good manager, the young enthusiasm is intentionally dampened by the bitter bosses, until finally the status quo is met. There's nothing worse for a manager than a bright young kid making them look stupid with ideas to improve things. Sad but true.

i cant believe this mans speech on the eve of the iraq invasion isnt known throughout the world.thats what a christian soldier looks like.take notice i have a feeling you will see christians marching to battle for God soon.

I don't think the world needs any more people marching to battle for God.

@@paulbrimble8204 On that basis WW2 British/Allied efforts were unchristian, by that they were doing the devil's work to free the continent. I wonder how many Jews, Poles etc., would view their liberators as the latter?

@@markburke2853 People can perform actions which are purely ethical and secular. Not always a God/Devil dichotomy. Take the actions of the Good Samaritan in the Bible. Occured before the time of Christ and hence not a Christian Act. Where was God when he was needed in Auschwitz anyway? Wrong religion / Nonchalant / vaguely absent? However I would admit that the Nazis were as close to pure evil as we have seen and needed to be stamped out without mercy.

@@paulbrimble8204 Thanks for the reply, however the point you made was 'no more marching to battle for God', whether AD or BC. Battle, by implication is war, and this entails killing therefore if modern day soldiers march (fly, drive etc.,) to war it's what they believe they are doing it for that matters. Invariably, to prove anyone's point people fairly quickly refer to WW2 - and the Nazis, though oddly never Communism, to support their case, which is odd as there are many similar conflicts to pick from. I'd rather, as a former TA soldier, go to war knowing I have a clear conscience to defend the UK, however, the Good Samaritan went into proverbial battle for God, so was on the right side of morality and his actions did not involve killing, whereas fighting does. Perhaps Cromwell's words ring true, one of many, who said 'In war every man believes God in his on side, I'll warrant God must often wonder who is on His'. Whatever we believe, war won't end, it is, as Gen. Patton said 'a necessary evil', and ideologies that make people do things they may not otherwise do, will have an eternal hold over us, and our souls.
