My dad had a 1980 Club Wagon. We had great memories with that van as a family growing as a kid. That blue interior brought me back to the time we went out for road trips. It wasn't loaded like yours but it did serve a purpose for us as a family car. Thank you for sharing this. I hope I can find one just as good condition as this gem.
My family still owns their 1980 Clubwagon Chateau and man it has saved me so many times. Unfortunately the seats got torn up from my dogs but it still HAULS! My goal for my dad is to fix it for him and turn it into a traveling van so when they retire they can travel other states.
A nice van I love the older vehicles and I like the window vans too easier to drive you can see out of them better and if you want to use it for camping you can always just cover the windows up at night
My father has one. Ours is actually a 5 speed manual which is pretty rare but unfortunately he hasn’t been taking the best care of it. It’s an 88 and a compact package, so she’s short than most vans. She’s also a cargo van so the interior ain’t the best but it’s all there for the most part.
Engine wiring was all burnt. Both manifolds leaked. Fuel filter was glogged. Water pump was missing 3 bolts and leaking. Timing chain was loose. Engine temp gauge doesn't work (that ones fun). Passenger window still doesn't work. ;) . The throttle body position sensor went out. Replaced the gasket for the throttle body.
@@tylerholbrook3415 Man that’s a lot of stuff. Hopefully the mechanic was being honest about what needed to be fixed cause that’s quite a bit of things. Hopefully you found an affordable place and honest place to take it to.
@@tylerholbrook3415 I would just create a search on eBay, and when one gets listed, you will get notified. What happened to the original one? Did the mechanic break it or something?

Most manual , 3&4 speed , ones I’ve found are all 6cyl. engines ... rare to find a 4speed with a V8 I’d bet .
Do you still have it ? Where are the middle seat seatbelts located ?
It’s been sold. I believe the seatbelts were tucked in the seat.
I literally own this. So cool that I found this video. Had alot of problems when I got it. At least now ik the owner was lying about its history.
Oh man, what were the problems that it had? I hope you’re enjoying the van. It is pretty sweet!!!
