These tinted lenses are aimed at tropical warm waters. To block the glare from the sun, and as some people claim make colors underwater more vivid (i don't know how trustworthy this is though). In Europe it won't make much difference imo, I use the normal Mares X vision without anything fancy on the lenses, and it works perfectly well for me. And I use it in tropical waters too

This is the best mask on the market. The gold lens will make everything "Brighter", kind of like a brighter light bulb in a room. If the water is not crystal clear, i.e.- hazy, cloudy water, green or milky, it will lessen those conditions and do color correction. Cave diving is brighter. Plus the liquid skin is so comfortable and does not leak. If you get this mask it will be very painful to down grade to any other mask. You will be ruined. Do not get the silver mirror
in my view and in simple words, if the water that you dive is crystal clear then you should be are better off with normal clear lens! the golden coating is there to enhance brightness in murky cloudy water, and the silver coating is there to reduce reflections in sandy-clear bright sea floors. I dive in crystal clear water and rocky sea floors at very sunny mornings/afternoons, so my choice is (clear lens) to not visually alter anything.. Got it?
