I was rogue and played Zombies back in the day when IL Blud was an absolute power card allowing you to swarm the field and this was when Card of Safe Return was at 3 so yeah Zombies was something surprisingly everybody slept on and when you palyed Zombies nobody knew what they did. Stuff like Pyramid Turtle confused them with Creature Swap, Ryu Kokis effect was forgotten and Book of Life was a frkn D.D. Crow that got you a zombie. Just goes to show even back then people mainly played what was meta and popular at the same time, in this case it was Lightsworn and DAD, rogue decks included Zombies and Demise Ritual. Monarchs were dead because Card Trooper and Treeborn Frog ended up on the forbidden/ limited list and Glad Beasts came out onto the scene right after Zombies died out due to Card of Safe Return ending up on the ban list and became the new hot rogue deck.
5Ds era of PEAK YGO. DAD, Lightsworn, GB, Samurais, Junk Synchros, Monarchs, Zombies, yeah TeleDAD was tier 0, but Ive never had so much fun playing yugioh in my life. It was one of those eras where you could go to your locals with your favorite cards and have fun. The game was sped up just enough, but not too fast that it just power crept everything. How things have changed 😢
I've been playing this game for as long as forever. But I remember my first locals ever, not only did I realize I truly didn't know the rules, but it was right in the middle of tele-dad format. So it was a rude awakening for me as a 12 year yugioh player learning what the meta was 😂.
I pulled one DAD during Sneak Preview but i thought its effect is bad. So i just exchanged it for 2 Cyber valley. Because back in the days destroying cards were very rarely played. So attacking Cyber Valley would mean i get to draw 2 cards or combine with Enemy Controller
I played when it was released, My mate dropped $1200NZD on a Play set ($400each) and got FEASTED, the guy took my mates money and skipped town with it..... 😢 😭. #SorryBro, Corey K,
That dragon on the cover of the pack is pretty goofy lol. I mean it's kinda cool but still kinda goofy having the human-like face in the middle of the body and having more heads above it and arms coming out next the the head LOL
'At's Yubel, I think they were going for something rather horrifying looking, but yeah, they way tey drew the face of the chest leaves a lot to be desired.
This also that introduce yubel but yubel in the past is very bad deck, where completely unplayable, unlike modern day Yubel, that have spirit of yubel, phantom of yubel, samsara D. Lotus and squirmer that modernise yubel deck. For that those that start yugioh from Masterduel, most of them don't know yubel is so bad in the past and it is totally unplayable.

Yes! I played zombies back in 2008 and it was a very rouge deck indeed back then!

The design of both lvl10 Armed Dragon are so fucking badass. Love this monster.

This was one of my ace cards aside from Maju Garzette, but then I lost my entire deck and never found it.
I remember when Tele DAD was expensive AF
Quit because of it and the rising price of competitive Yugioh
All from the game made by the guy who didn't want tournaments with cash prizes...which was probably the only way to afford one short of a mortgage
This card art looks so crazy
I ran an armored dragon deck in HS with a DAD in it. Friend gave it to me. Still have that deck
I pulled one when I was a teenager. Didn’t really know the value of it or realize its usefulness.
After Phantom Darkness, all dark attribute themed booster packs have been a joke in comparison (at giving generic support)
I’m glad I made DAD proud 😌
I played dark arm return for a while, way after its prime (late synchro early xyz, still felt so powerful
I actually pulled one in My first booster pack. I was the envy of everyone
I had 2 and sold them all for $400

Is there a light version of the dark armored dragon? My bujin deck would be op
YEAH IT IS!!! IT INTRODUCED ME!
Man first phantom darkness set i ever got (which was my first time being exposed to yugioh) i opened my first pack and i got dark armed dragon
Meta warping card

#SorryBro, Corey K,
I used it a lot on dueling network

Yes I had 4 now just 1
I use it in my Red Eyes deck
I didn't have to buy it cuz I pulled it from packs easily lol
