Hey Nik, I like the idea of 'randomly exploring songs'. I always like to discover new bands, new songs, so for me it would be cool if you're doing that because it's always fun to watch.

Pop Evil was one of the best concerts I've been to. Trenches and Waking Lions would be some good songs to get into them

they were just another country dad rock drunk bar band lmao. such a glow up, imo, even though it’s something i’d never listen to. they’ve done a lot of maturing and this track is great

I thought Trenches was pretty decent...although I also thought it was interesting (and objectively, kinda cool) that even after they were getting lots of airplay and going on major tours, they would still play this tiny-ass bar in Roanoke near where I grew up a few times. I never got the impression that Pop Evil got too big for their breeches.
For a band that's primarily radio rock, I really dig when they experiment with heavier stuff.

a lot of their music bounces between being kind of heavy like this, and just being a knockoff shinedown. Their last album had like 2 or 3 songs that were kinda heavy like this one and the rest you could mistake for shinedown songs. That's not really a bad thing but I really like their heavier songs and they don't make many of them lol.

Torn to pieces by them is one of my all time favorite songs. It’s not even metal it’s completely opposite to this but both are absolutely amazing!

Love the idea of exploring random songs/bands for sure. If that is the case you've really got to check out 'As Everything Unfolds' as for a relatively new band, their sound is solid af and the leads' vocals are golden.

One of the most underrated rock bands of the last decade. Live shows are high energy and Leigh's voice is legit.

I’ve been luck enough to see these guys live twice and they killed it. I saw them on their headline when they played the ROXY in West Hollywood and then again opening for Skillet at the Wiltern in LA

Pop Evil was my first ever concert Ive ever been to, and one of my favorites too! I actually havent listened to their music in a long time so it caught me by surprise when I saw a female drummer haha, so its been a while! Not too bad but now I miss Chachi :/

Saw Pop Evil in 2010 I think? They opened for Papa Roach. Man they blew me away, all they had out was “Lipstick on the mirror” and I loved that album. I’m glad that they are progressing well!

Pop Evil has been pretty big where I'm at for a while, they were very standard rock for a long time now they've been morphing for the last few years into the HEAVYISH.

Listen to some of Pop Evil's older stuff, such as albums Lipstick on a Mirror and Onyx. That's more of their true sound, and closer to the energy they have live.

I have seen pop evil live twice, once with the original drummer and again after they hired the female drummer, she is a good choice. They like coming here and playing a small venue in a local "bar / nightclub" hybrid we have, so ya get to stand right at the stage and get speaker deaf it's great. The first song I ever heard from them was "100 in a 55" what you hear here is a drastic style change from that earlier style which was more blues rock kind of but this change is frickin epic and I love the direction they are going, I really hope they come back so I can see them live again after all this pandemic stuff.
Pop Evil is great live! Let the Chaos Reign & Deal With the Devil are great ones you gotta hear.
Trenches by Pop Evil! Solid Hard Rock band. Seen them open for Five Finger Death Punch and Hellyeah quite a few years back!

Some of their older songs included screamed vocals so they very much have a screamer. He just doesn’t do it much anymore.

I saw these guys a couple years ago, one of my favorite shows I've been to.
I've been listening to these guys since oynx and found them at local venues in Michigan when I was in highschool.
Awesome, need to add this to my Spotify list. Glad Nik checks new stuff out, so I don't need to do that by myself :D
Pop Evil has matured since the debut album came out about a decade ago. There were some personnel changes which helped evolve the band.I really like the drummer as she really has clean breaks and works well with the bass and guitar.

Very happy you chek them out, Pop Evil are great! Can also recommend some older, less "techy" songs, maybe some from their record "Trenches". Saw them at a tiny location in Cologne two years ago, Leigh is super nice as well!

This song sounds like what would kick in during the opening credits to a Michael Bay movie, with Transforming titles spinning around the screen, but in a good way.
Even if it's "only" a pedal and they aren't actually tuned down that low, it sounds like it's Eb 0. Full octave below Eb standard.
I didn't give this song a chance when I first heard it on the radio, but I did the other day and was pleasantly surprised. The br00tal chugs are really good, and they are good at more mainstream melodies too.

Been a fan of Pop Evil for a long time. They are a well rounded rock band that uses metal elements well while still keeping things simple to maintain a particular feel to every song. Their self-title album in 2018 was very impressive
Pop evil puts on a hell of a great live show, plus they've got a large catalog of crazy good songs to keep it rollin!
Check out trenches or boss's daughter by pop evil. Those two songs are alot different musically. I'd like to hear what you think of those two songs.
