  • In this video I show you how to program a Dig Corp. 9001D automatic watering timer. This simple device screws onto your faucet and can water your garden up to four times a day. Consistent watering = better harvests and fewer stress and blossom end rot issues too ;-)

    🍹 Our Tiki71 Amazon Storefront is filled with the things we use and like & it’s a convenient way to check out what you see on our channel & it adds ABSOLUTELY no cost to you 🥂: www.amazon.com...
    More on that below 👇🏼
    👉🏽If you see something you like in one of our videos, there’s a good chance we’ve put it on our curated Amazon page: www.amazon.com... If you click through and buy something, we receive a small a very small commission (as little as 1%) that costs you NOTHING extra, but it helps with the costs of delivering content, so Ma-halo (thank you)! 🤟🏼

    👎🏼 I DO NOT buy, nor recommend plant SEEDS on Amazon, only live plant from sellers well rated. I've had too many bogus experiences.
    👍🏼 I absolutely DO recommend Amazon on live plants that you can’t get locally. Several of our multi-year tropicals have come from good suppliers on Amazon (like (Logee’s, American Plant Exchange, Cold Hardy Farms, Costa Farms, Old Oaks Nursery, Hirts, etc.) and arrived alive and well.

    Ian Black's video on programming the same timer shows how to set the day of the week. You started off with setting the time, changed minutes to 16 from 13 then selected the right arrow which made the drop above the time start to flash. You brushed past that without saying any thing about it. When the drop is flashing, plus or minus will move the day of the week to wherever day is current.

    Same question as David Adams. How do you get rid of a programmed time?

    Has this model lasted you? I am looking into getting one, but don't want it to be a "buy a new one every year" kind of deal. Is this a good option? Solid construction? No leaks? Lasting quality?

    • @Tiki71
      @Tiki71  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm still using it. Now in my greenhouse. I have an additional one for outside that I bring in when winterizing. I replace the battery every spring.

    Valve does not open for manual watering. Programming is as instructed. All other functions are fine. Any suggestions? Thank you.

      I have that happen on one after a couple of years of use. If a change of battery doesn't fix it, I usually run down to Home Depot and get a new one for around $39

    What day does the timer think it is today? When you put in a new battery is it Monday by default?

    What I am looking for is how do I know what my settings should be? How often do I need to water and for how long? Is it just trial and error?

    Hi there! My battery is dead! I tried to change it but couldn’t open it! Do you have to unscrew something? I just didn’t see how you opened it? Thanks

    • @Tiki71
      @Tiki71  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      If I remember right, you have to cycle through with the sideways arrow until you get back to it.
