How did you initially pull out axle bearing before you could pull it out by hand in this video? Did you use an inverted three arm puller to pull the bearing out first?
ZentRose thanks for the reply, I'll have to check lowes, I've checked 2 HD and they didn't have the short nose ones. Ended up breaking a set of snap rings. Can't seem to find the same pair lol
I went to Harbor Freight, didn't have anything close to it. Ended up using a plier we had and worked it out with 3 people using flat head and stuff to pry it out. LOL
tigermack I have managed to remove one a while ago which required a lot of effort and the same screw driver method. Ended up bending the snapping ring so that's not fun. Any ideas to find snapping rings?
You can actually put the rings back, they should be able to clip in place. Especially if you have a brass punch, it wouldn't leave a ding on it if you used that.

I believe Home Depot or lowes. I'll check. These are just thick needle nose pliers. I found that snap ring pliers didn't work well on my diff rings.

Use needle nose pliers not snap ring pliers and they come off without a fuss.
you must've lots of strength cause that wasn't the case for us! lol
Yeah mate. I just scavenged 3 diffs and removing the first 3 snap-rings was not easy at all.
