@@psychogamer9252 l've watched it. Great show. Just stating HBO knows how to balance dark shows pretty well and have done so for many years. Some of the Netflix shows are dark just for the sake of it. Like stuffing in blood and gore when its not asked for. While HBO shows build up the atmosphere pretty well, that the dark moments just mesh in.
Let me tell you guys why you should watch this show 1)Jude Law and the whole cast is frickin' amazing 2)The whole atmosphere of this show is dark and surreal. Sometimes really trippy. And the visuals match it also, that's the best part. 3)The story is treated in the best way possible. U might find a similar tone elsewhere. But this one's done beautifully. And they add enough complexity to the whole thing so that you keep thinking. Now HBO won't do it properly. So I'll explain it The show is divided into 3 parts Summer - 3 episodes with Jude Law Autumn - A live event Winter - 3 episodes with Naomie Harris They have telecasted 3 episodes so far. So the summer part is over. Next televised would be Winter. I believe Jude Law's character and Naomie Harris' character are connected. Won't speak much. Leave it for u guys to figure it out. So the point is if you are in the mood for a Beautiful Dark Claustrophobic Engaging tale. Look no further. This is it.
You can have a great cast and beautiful cinematography and still have a bad series or movie if the writing isn't there. This trailer makes it look both interesting (because of the cast and atmosphere) and boring (too reminiscent of The Wicker Man, which was terrible) at the same time.
This looks like what British mysteries are made of: captivating stories, great story development, soul immersed acting and very interesting location. I want to check this out.
Oh my God, this is incredible picturesque and stunning. Bravo HBO ! The trailer is very exciting with its chthonic atmosphere and style. HBO is, as always, creating something extraordinary, raising and expanding the production horizons more and more. They are flawless, this is their unshakable peak of creativity. @@ethancoster1324 watching now. I have to say there's not simply a touch of the Wickerman. The main character isn't a police officer other than that it's an uninspiring rip off. Rehashing good works every few decades passes for creativity. Smh.

HBO has had an incredible run during this pandemic, but my favorite show -- for story-telling, acting and production quality -- has been the least noticed, "The Third Day." A story in six parts, divided into "summer" and "winter." Jude Law and Naomie Harris (stars of each part) should be locks for Emmy nominations.
The last three episodes were awful. Took the first three and just dumped on them. There was literally no point to the first three with what they did to it. It ended up just being a power-struggle between a man they forced into it and a power-mad, nutcase of a woman who was off her rocker.

Netflix : We produce the best "dark and mysterious" content
