    I accidently took hells highway today. Was by far the scariest experience. Just myself and wife in a single cab tacoma. No spotter. Never doing that alone!

    Been up this both directions with my Dad and jeep buddies a few times, can be scary. Makes your heart pound at times. One time it started raining half way through, that was scary but a total rush when you finish. You would not want to be here on a raining day, way to slippery and dangerous. You should make a video coming the other direction, it feels like a whole different trail. Thanks for sharing =)

      Here is video we did a while back of a group doing Cleghorn coming the other direct at Christmas time, not long after the rain:

      trail has gotten a lot more rough, was just there yesterday and the last off shoot looked insanely easy compared to yesterday. Be safe and good luck, i was able to every offshoot i attempted in my tacoma 4x4 off road, 33 inch tires, 2 inch leveling kit, and sliders, sliders are a must, i banged mine up pretty good yesterday but the truck is safe

    I just recently did Hells Highway and Oh S--- Creek.... in a stock Power Wagon. Any trail you can drive away from with no mechanical or body damage is a good trail. Thank the Lord that Ram compensated their advertised 14 inches of clearance by installing radius arm sliders that are closer to the ground when you air down.

    Did hells highway by accident with my gf, she did amazing spotting. I have a 2019 Tacoma long bed 3 in upfront and add a leaf in the rear. It took us an hour and a half to get down haha. Very tough but we did it. Messed up my predator steps and scratched her up but learned a lot. Good times

    • @LuisCastillo-ys1gk
      @LuisCastillo-ys1gk 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ThisSheeshBananas I would stick to the fire road, hells highway is pretty hard on a tacoma and the first dip is too steep for the stock ride height,

    I wish I would have seen this before. I ended up on hells highway and took it all the way to the dead end you pointed out on my leveled Nissan frontier thankfully I made it out
    with just a few scratches. that off shut isn't even marked so be careful because you can't back out once your in. great vid.

    It looks like a totally different trail now. Went through yesterday after the heavy rain with a group of 6 Grand Cherokee WJs and the last half was really washed out. Still plenty doable in my '99 WJ with a 4-inch lift.

    You missed the walk. As you exited the section with the Toyota, go left for 20 yards the straight up the wall to the right then You go about 75 yards back to the fire road where you cross the fire road and enter the blind steep entrance to the last section. Good job on the video, you sold me an as few bypasses haven’t done yet.

    Hells highway, that hill where if you keep going it will dead end, be careful yee peeps who don't have big tires , rock sliders AND at least a rear locker. I only have the rear locker lol and it took me 2 hours to get down because i kept going up and up and up. Didn't do any panel damage or get stuck but i had to be very strategic getting around. I didn't want my gen 1 tundra to be the next abandoned toyota lol

    Just went through 5.16.2020 w/ 16 Taco 4x4 TRD OR SB - 2 in lift front and icon add a leaf in the back on 32" Wildpeaks. . Definitely not not for street cars. I hit some of the off shoots by mistake and did ok. NOT Hell's hwy. One spot I encountered a rock step up. Had to use low range and send it! Never did air down. Some of the off shoots now have huge truck size boulders.

    If I went up backwards from the 138 to the fifteen on the fire road, it shouldn't be too difficult, correct?

      If you stay on the fire road sections, it's 99% flat & easy and 1% bumpy.. If you stray off the fire-road, you're in for some adventure!

      A.S.A.L.A.007 you should be okay. Just got back from there. Luckily there was a Jeep there to show me the way. Loads of fun. I have an FJ lifted 2.5 w/33’s

      Yeah should be fine for most of off shoots. My friend had a 2 wheel drive taco offroad. You might be too long for some offshoots and will hit/scrape.

    do all jks pop like that?

    • @TheNotaRubicon
      @TheNotaRubicon  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dont know, havn't ridden in them all.. The popping sounds a lot louder because it's coming from the two front A-pillars and the sound transmits through the dash right into the dashcam.. But, you can certainty hear it when driving. It's part of it's 'personality' ..

      Have fun but be careful - It WILL be raining up there this weekend and those areas coming down after The Punchbowl will be slick as snot on ice! If you go that way expect to hit those walls a few times and/or fall into those ruts.

      I think it must be more so on the 4 doors because my 2 door doesn't do it...not like what I heard on this video with a couple different 4 doors.
