After her husband passed away, she wrote a lot about finding pleasure in cooking for herself. She took pride in her food, set a table and she enjoyed a glass of wine. Nami is also showing us how to care for ourselves by preparing lovely meals and enjoying our food and surroundings. Thank you so much.

We call the tiny cabbages "Brussels sprouts" in Canada. No idea if they're actually from Brussels or not 😅 I like to roast them with some olive oil, garlic, and shredded prosciutto ham, at about 190°C (375°F), until the ham is crispy and the vegetables are browned. Tasty and not so bitter 😋 Thank you for another great video!
Oh my goodness. I’m so glad I saw your post. I absolutely adore how Nami translates everything. However I was quite confused what a tiny cabbage was and had full intend of hunting them down in the store. That makes sense now! 😊

Nami- your videos remind me of when I lived alone. Cooking delicious meals and watching TV on my days off. This was almost 15 years ago. I am now married and have a toddler whom I am teaching how to cook. It’s a different stage of my life. Watching your videos gives me delicious recipes to cook with my little one- thank you!
It’s so pleasant and relaxing watching you cook. I love your curiosity and willingness to try new things. Also, your chopping skills are amazing; and peeling veggies with that large knife - something few can do as well as you, but please buy a peeler!😄

Time passes quickly everyday and we always don’t recognise what we have done. When we look back, days, weeks, months or years have passed. From your video I can feel how you live slowly and make good use of your time to have enjoyable moments. It’s so relaxing to see you spend you time to make yourself happy and live slowly while effectively on something simple but meaningful. You reminds me that our life is a combination of all fragments of some simple daily routines. Making those simple daily routines enjoyable and relaxing is so important. Recording what we have done also reminds us that we have spent the time meaningfully. 💕
I love the way you were spending your day, so peaceful yet so rich with lots of colors. I think of those as a nice way of being grateful for whatever we have.

Konichiwa Namisan, arigato for sharing your peaceful, organized life. I am a father of two boys and I try to teach them the importance of lessons and habits; however, this seems difficult at times due to the nature of individual developing characters and personalities. This being said, I am so impressed on how you responsibly budget, clean, dress, creatively cook, stroll through Tokyo with an easy heart and mind. It is nothing less than refreshing to witness. These traits should be passed on from parents or mentors to children or student, and the world seems to be drifting from this. We are on Earth to learn, live, and be happy, so gambatte, you are inspiring. Before I forget to mention, your video producing and editing skills (I.e., selection, cuts, selective focusing, music, angles) are perfect.

We cook sauerkraut in the same way, but always add carrots for the cover and for the flavour. Also sometimes we pickle green cabbage with beetroots and fresh garlic. Nami at the start of the video: I should really buy a peeler. I always forget to buy one. Nami in the middle of the video: I am out of pepper so I will use pink pepper instead. *Nami goes to the supermarket* Nami at the end of the video: I am out of pepper so I will use Doubanjiang instead why was that sequence so relatable tho 😅😅😅 I wonder if Nami at least bought a peeler from her trip to the grocery 😂
What a wonderful video. The vegetables you have are gorgeous and everything looks so tasty! Thank you for sharing your time with us Nami! Stay safe and warm and get lots of rest.🍁🧡🍂
I like how she makes you feel like there is more then 1 person in her house.
Nami
It’s so pleasant and relaxing watching you cook. I love your curiosity and willingness to try new things. Also, your chopping skills are amazing; and peeling veggies with that large knife - something few can do as well as you, but please buy a peeler!😄
Spending a pleasant few minutes with a cup of peppermint Mocha coffee and watching Nami before I start making Christmas Fruit Bread! One of my favorite dishes to make when it's cold is a simple chili recipe my husband loves. I also LOVE making soup! Have a lovely weekend!
Tip: always put oil in the pan when making pop corn. Also shake the pan whilsti the pop corn is in.
There is something quite relaxing about watching you cook! It’s very different then how I prepare meals. I find it fascinating 😀
I so agree
I like to come here when I am stressed or worried. Thank you, Nami. You calm me.
I agree. I have learned from her the small pleasure in chopping vegetables.
Every dish looked delicious! It’s always comforting having a warm meal in winter ❄️💜
I love the way you were spending your day, so peaceful yet so rich with lots of colors. I think of those as a nice way of being grateful for whatever we have.
Hi Nami! So grateful for your videos! Once you get a peeler you should save your potato peels and fry them up or bake them in the oven with olive oil, salt and pepper. They make a crispy and tasty snack!
Oh my gosh! The Chanpon soup at the end looked delicious! All your meals look so amazing and fresh, healthy food. Yummy! 🤤😋 I love watching your beautiful life every week. Love from USA. 👋 💖 🇺🇸
Iced Americano’s are the best ( I had a caramel one with my breakfast today ) there’s something motivational about your videos Nami. I suffer with pain and a lack of motivation, but your videos relax me ready for a couple hours of studying b4 my chores 🙂
Your channel is such a happy place for me. I always get a good feeling when I watch your videos
I really enjoy watching your videos. They make my heart feel warm and I can’t wait to try out these recipes. I want to become a chef here in the US but also want to travel and learn world cuisine. Especially different Asian cuisine. I love seeing your life style and your calming videos. Thank you for sharing them ! 💕 much love .
I really like the simplicity of your cooking. Inspires me to just cook without the idea of an explicit dish in my head.
The whole day I just waited to see your video and it was very relaxing. Thank you
The Christmas tea you bought is an Advent calendar. In December, you open one tea package every day until December 24th, starting on December 1st. It's a German thing. Not necessarily with tea, but the Advent calendar itself.
And England :) I believe we got the tradition from Germany via Prince Albert, he also introduced the Christmas Tree :D
@@dtulip1 Albert and Victoria popularised Christmas trees, but they were introduced far earlier, by George III's queen, Charlotte.
@@dtulip1 the first Advent calendar was used by Lutheran Germans 😊
A Christmas tradition ❤️ My kids get an advent calendar with little chocolates each day. There are many variations and the tea is a fun one!
We use Advent calendars in Canada as well.
Greetings from Brazil!
Elas tem outro nome popular? Nunca ouvi falar de camapu aqui 🤔
Your videos are always the first thing I watch on Saturdays, because they are calm. Perfect watching for after I wake up and I am drinking my coffee. Thank you for showing us the sweater pill remover! I've never seen anything like that but I need one, so I just ordered one from Amazon.
I really enjoy your content. My life’s been very stressful in the last year in dealing with my ex-husband and legal battles with him… but your videos are simple and soothing and it bring my anxiety levels down. Thank you for that and keep making enjoyable content!!
Salut Nami,
salut
Nami, I love your videos and I saw that you just uploaded, so you might be here still. It's currently 12:00 pm where I live and I'll come back later on when I go to bed to watch it. I have been watching all of your past vlogs and they help me relax so much and give me ideas for meals too! I don't know what I'm going to do when I finish watching all of your videos :p
And here I am, at 12am as promised
I really enjoyed this episode, and when I saw your subtitle say that you had the carb-filled meal for your day-off I laughed, it's indeed very satisfying. The noodles and soup looked so delicious that I'm thinking of making it to eat too. Hope you will have a wonderful weekend!
Rövid és kifejező .
Minden finom ,és igényesen szèp !🌸💫
Soup with vegetables…. Polenta …. Mixed boiled meat… risotto… all food is good in Italy like in Japan and in Nami’s kitchen!!! A big hug from North of Italy! Valentina
Domo arigato Nami ! I loved all the cooking. I’m going to watch the pickled red cabbage part again and try to make it too. Hope you have a wonderful week!
We cook sauerkraut in the same way, but always add carrots for the cover and for the flavour. Also sometimes we pickle green cabbage with beetroots and fresh garlic. Green cabbage is cheaper than the purple one, yet the beet roots add the colour and the natural sweetness. It is delicious, you ought to try it some time
Bonjour 🤗!!
In italia,..LE CILEGINE
Always such delicious meals. And I like to see different items in the supermarket. Love see the cats at end of video.
Good morning Nami 🌞 I also enjoy using the wool remover on all my winter clothes and accessories; it's very satisfying and they look brand new!!!
WHERE do I buy!!!!!!???
Amazon- I love mine. Brings jumpers up like new!
I am going to use the phrase 'patrol the dirty' whenever I'm doing housework. It sounds very badass. Thank you Nami for sharing your charming life with us!
This channel is insanely addictive- in the most positive way it inspires to change one's routine, one's outlook,...and one's pleasures in life...
Love waking up to a new video! You have such discipline - I would never get out of that comfy warm bed.
Nami is helping me with depression for sure. I can find order in this chaos of the world. I can love each moment and fill it with paying attention to love and good. Thank you Nami's life. I will do more to love myself and find beauty in small wonders.
My winter classic meal is beef stew.
Nami at the start of the video:
I should really buy a peeler. I always forget to buy one.
Nami in the middle of the video:
I am out of pepper so I will use pink pepper instead.
*Nami goes to the supermarket*
Nami at the end of the video:
I am out of pepper so I will use Doubanjiang instead
why was that sequence so relatable tho 😅😅😅 I wonder if Nami at least bought a peeler from her trip to the grocery 😂
Thanks for your videos Nami, love from Argentina 💐💙
Thank you Damy san!🤍 Love from Japan 🇯🇵
What a wonderful video. The vegetables you have are gorgeous and everything looks so tasty! Thank you for sharing your time with us Nami! Stay safe and warm and get lots of rest.🍁🧡🍂
I like how she makes you feel like there is more then 1 person in her house. I also learn people from korea or japan people say they eat small which is true but i do think its cause they make up for it by having lot of dishes around so it kinda of makes it looks like they do eat a lot like americans as in the american parts we just pile it up in one plate.
I love watching your videos, they are so calming and inspiring. And I love reading all the comments, there is such a wonderful, widespread community here with different traditions to share.

Przeciwnie, to wspaniała umiejętność.
