- A very rare antique broken knife restoration. In this video I showed the restoration of an old rusty knife. This knife was found in a WW1 German trench. It was very rusty and broken. This knife was produced in France at the end of the 19th century. This is the LOUVETIER KNIFE. The knife is very rare and I decided to restore this knife. I removed the rust, made new parts and made scales from the antlers. Now the knife works. I hope you enjoyed my restoration video.

10 out of 10, you did the best you could with what you had.
10+ of 10 for Craftsmanship!
Great restoration. I appreciate the antler grips you made to imitate the originals. Your work is very careful and considerate of the original. Thank you for sharing your skill with us!
Thank you for watching!
The work on the handle is very good. (And I know the smell when working with horn...) Impressive how you made your own revotes for the grip! It even has good tension for the blade, well done.
10 !! Those handles are gorgeous -
Thank you! I'm glad you liked the handles.
Great work! To most people this old knife would be rubbish but you rescued a small piece of history. Well done sir!
this is an absolute 10
9 of 10... now it's a mix of old and new... but very well done!!!
Thanks! 😃
Nice. Not many fish get up and swimming again after nigh on 200 years. I can just see that weekend angler relaxing by the river waiting for his float to bob, and supping his wine from a metal goblet. I know the feeling. I fished by riversides as a teenager.
Beautiful ❤❤❤❤ 10 out of 10
your restoration skills are at a masterful level, definitely a 10
10/10 a kind of resurrection
When I saw this knife for the first time, i thought it's barely possible to breathe a new life into it. But i believed that you can make it real, and i eas right! This is a great artifact you have restored!
Excellent work !! 10 for me for sure ....I love the Antler handle scales they complete this Knife so well !! 👍👍👍
Hello mister beautiful knife Beautifully restored well done
Thank you! Glad you liked it.

4 out of 10 obviously it's a personal preference thing but I like the pitting to be completely removed that being said you put alot of work into it and made it functional again well done.

8.5 over 10. Nearly perfect
Great video. 10 out of 10. I can’t imagine the amount of patience you must have for sanding. Because this…was a lot of sanding.
10. Nice restoration
Two thumbs way up 👍👍
Great work on the antler! It looks original! Why did you soak some of the parts in distilled water and not the vinegar?
I wanted to keep the original patina on the brass
@@ReXtorer I've learned so much watching your videos! Thanks for all the time and effort you put into making them!
2:20 that metal is insanely soft, wow
Maybe lead?
Very' "Very" nice ! ~~ I think I would've made a nice "New" modern-day, blade tho .... The stag handles are absolutely, Outstanding 💥

10!
Merveilleux, vous êtes formidable ! 10 sur 10 ! JP le namurois.
10 you made the most out of it
Beautiful restoration! 10/10
✌️👍
Sound restoration. Restored functionality without masking its age.
An intensive restoration but the knife had decayed too far. Your work was excellent.
Possibly try a laser rust remover?
Beautiful knife. Very well done! 10 --- Out of curiosity, what makes this knife so rare?
7/10
The scales beautiful but if it just to used as conversion pice but the flux weld the holes and it smooth if you even read my thoughts
Some of the parts were so thin that they only had one side.
I give you a 8.9
9.5
You are right to keep the original because if you had changed it it would no longer. be a restoration but a renovation. On the other hand, the wood who placed was necessary and is very close to what was done at the time.
10 /10!
The blade might have been too far gone on this one, and maybe needed to be replaced as well. I bet you wanted to keep it a "restoration," but the final product looked cratered like the moon. Great handle though. 9/10.
Antique from Antiquity are you sure ?
“Antique” refers to an old and valuable item, typically at least 100 years old, that has historical, artistic, or cultural significance. Antiques can include furniture, artwork, jewelry, books, coins, and other collectibles. The term can also refer to the trade or study of such objects.
Can I send my knife for repair?
Hi! I restore only my finds
9.6 nothing is perfect

Stupid click bait titles. Im unsubscribing.
This is a rare knife made between 1850 and 1870. What's wrong? Do you often see knives like this?
Bye 👋🏻 lol
