    Stayed Sept 2023, at the Antilles RIU. Was renovated. I, understood Antilles guests could use both hotels, but the Palace guests could only use the Palace facilities. Great location if you want shop or restaurants, all within walking distance of the hotel. Aruba is very very safe to wonder about. It's not huge like say Costa Rica RIU"s, just perfect size, less resort walking. I, will go back.

    We have been to the the Aruba Riu Palace five times and I must say that we agree with everything you said about the resort. We have tried other resorts and other islands but nothing comes compares to the Aruba Riu Palace. Great video and thanks for sharing.

      Glad you found it helpful. The nice thing about the Riu is that the prices are reasonable enough that you can eat off property a night or two and still have gotten your moneys worth.

    We are heading there in November. It will be our 3rd trip to the RIU Palace Aruba. You are spot on as far as the best value, Palace over Antilles and the Buffet is by far the Best buffet we’ve ever ate at. The staff have always been great, the rooms are nice enough with stocked alcohol and other drinks. If you’re into great weather, beautiful beaches, nice pools and a very safe island, Aruba is the place to go specifically the RIU Palace Aruba.

    Great video. Very informative. I am planning a trip to Aruba next year. I have never been to Aruba. I am seriously considering Hotel Riu Palace in Aruba. One of the complaints I am hearing is about the elevators. There are only two elevators for that resort. The reviews state that there are not enough elevators to accommodate the rooms. You end up waiting for an elevator for a while. When the elevator does arrive, the elevator is packed. Did you run into that problem at Riu Palace? Is that correct?

    • @ftbeat
      @ftbeat  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks for watching and the kind words. I think there are more than 2 elevators but not 100% sure. That said, I can’t recall ever having to wait long for an elevator.

    We love Aruba. I am curious though everyone saying it’s very good value. How much are people paying for 7 days all inclusive with flight? We’re from Canada 8 years ago we paid 1700 a person. And this year we’re paying 2700 per person.

    Your comments really concern me-I think for the money that you’re spending at this hotel, it should be mind blowing and luxurious and a 10/10. If this didn’t check all the boxes for you which hotel does.? Ty. I’m asking because I’m planning my first trip and I’m not sure where to stay...

    • @ftbeat
      @ftbeat  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Aruba is a very popular and therefore expensive destination. The prices are actually a very good value. There aren’t too many all inclusives in Aruba. I’d say the closest All Inclusive resort in Aruba that would be “mind blowing” would be Bucuti and Tara. For us and the price, it did check all our boxes. Of course, travel is very subjective and what’s important to one may not be to another, including budget and value.

    • @ftbeat
      @ftbeat  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching. do not believe they have American Beers. Most all inclusives do not. As far as alcohol, expect mid range options, most will be local. Generally, the more expensive the resort, the better the alcohol brands. They do change from time to time as well. Personally, I am not overly picky and it’s been fine

    My family stayed the Riu palace Aruba late June until July 1st 2024.
    The stay was horrible! We booked a year in advanced and two of us didn’t get the rooms that we requested. I need a handicap room with a shower chair and I got a room overlooking a dumpster and a parking lot. The hand house shower was broken and my niece got a room that had bedbugs and she showed them pictures and they tried to give me that same room before they put me in the room with the dumpster. Also, the resort was not handicap assessable so the scooter that I had could not make it up the ramps and the doors were not electric doors to open for any kind of scooter. The hallways smelled of sewer and urine coming into my room area. I had a little blanket or decorative throw at the end of my bed. It had blood on it and the last day of our vacation my daughter’s ceiling fell through. The staff did nothing about it. They didn’t care and they tried to put us in rooms that were already in bad shape.
    There were no lifeguards and a five-year-old boy drowned, and the visitors had to resuscitate him.. It was justan overall poor stay. the place is not clean. The rooms were not updated. We had booked partial Oceanview rooms and ended up getting rooms that overlook dumpsters and parking lots and Palace Aruba staff did not try to accommodate us anyway they actually made excuses so we would not be staying there when we go back to Aruba.

    We stayed a couple of years ago. The rooms are horrifically outdated. The buffet restaurant was really good. The best spots on the beach are claimed before dawn . It’s hilarious to watch the ant like procession across the beach in silhouette. People double up with prime pool chairs for the afternoon. I’ve seen instances where it almost came to blows I wouldn’t stay again. This wasn’t a 12 grand hotel
