  • Can you count the species at one location in May & June? The camera was placed close to the ground to catch the sounds and make you feel as though you are there.

Enjoyed that very much. Liked the labels. Lol at the fox travel. Great variety. Nice start to the day.

That young fox will catch on to hunting some day. Glad to have you watching.

Awesome pics! That was a huge variety of wildlife. I counted 22 visually and heard a bunch of crows.

The streams get pretty busy when it gets hot. Thanks for watching! Great count!

Deer in the background stayed for over an hour.
I noticed the pregnant doe just before your label.
    Watched again and shared.

Very observant! Could almost see the doe considering the wisdom of the jump.

Another good video Jerry. The vivid red colors of the pileated woodpecker, scarlet tanager and cardinals are stunning. The doe in the first few minutes of the video found a good spot to relax for a while. Finally, the raccoons in the creek feeling around make me think of cats whose owners say are “making biscuits”.
    🦌 🦝 🦝 🦉 🦆 THANK YOU!

Very glad you enjoyed it and watch so closely. The raccoons almost "see" food with their sensitive front feet. Thanks for stopping by again.

Thank you Jerry for yet another great vid. I got a vid of a Mule Deer in the park today right in the middle of town. Such a graceful site.

You're very welcome. Yup, the flower gardens in the burbs not too far from here are just salad bars for the whitetails.

Far be it for me to give advice, but if this were my camera area, I'd take a saw to those two pointy sticks on the log.

I leave the locations as natural as possible for videos. As it turns out, the raccoons use things like those branch stubs for scent marking. It is a form of communicating their presence to others. Probably for territorial and mating reasons.

During the rainstorm do you have any idea of what the critter in the left background was? Have never seen a Pileated on the ground like that. Great Vid.

I opened the vid in my editor and removed the transition between clips and it was definitely a very wet raccoon in the rain. I've got a number of shots of pileated on the ground in other channel videos. I think they will go wherever there is rotten wood. I keep my cameras near the ground so that's where I often record them.

@@WatershedWildlife I have seen the pileated on logs that are laying down. Never saw one take a bath though. 😊
