After having listened to so many symphonies, this is one of the very few ones that still caught me by surprise. It's wonderful
This is really nothing short of amazing - an incredibly complex work (comparable to Ives's 4th?) performed live with style, balance, precision, and, evidently if not surprisingly, a whole lot of love for the music. God bless Maestro Jurowski, the players, the choristers and their coach, and most of all, the people of Romania for coming to this concert and keeping the Enescu legacy alive. Hugs across the ocean from USA!

Rev. 1920-1951 ! Es gefällt mir ! Enescu war so sorgfältig, peinlich ! Seine Musik ist präzise in jedem kleinen Detail. Pascal Bentoiu hat geschrieben, daß wir 15-20 Mal eine Werk von Enescu hören sollen, um alle seine Feinheiten gut zu fühlen. Danke Thorsten für diese sehr schöne Aufnahme.

@@Tetsugakusha75 Kennst du die 4. und 5. Symphonie von Enescu, deren Orchestrierungen Bentoiu beendet hatte ? Die 5. ist bei youtube, die 4. nicht.
La semaine passée, j'y ai lu le chapitre sur la "Symphonie concertante".
