I bought all the prima sets too, but I ended up decluttering most of them and the rest I combined. I kept the classical + tropicals in a tin together, then I shoved the pastels + vintage into my massive pastel watercolor palette. I highly recommend these watercolors though! They're so clean and pretty. Honestly they're such a good quality for a beginner! ✨
Got my coffee and let's goooo! Came back at the ending just to say I loved all your Palettes. I hope you'll use them and share your Watercolor Art with us!
It’s crazy how similar our paint preferences are! I *wanted* to love Sennelier, M Graham and Winsor & Newton… but I definitely prefer Daniel Smith, Schmincke, MaimeriBlu and Roman Szmal. I don’t like the stickier paints that never dry in my pans! I also bought that crazy Sennelier set of tubes as my “try out” set and am happy I didn’t purchase something bigger or more expensive. Enjoyed seeing all your palettes… you’ve collected some beautiful sets of paint!
Sennelier layers really well. I’ve been experimenting with that. They are nice and creamy and fun to work with when painting landscapes with lush foliage. And sea scapes. Don’t discount them keep am open mind. They have a place depending on mood for painting
I saw that one persons comment but dont want to comment directly as it was posted weeks ago. As somebody who also enjoys collecting watercolor..its an ok hobby to have. You can enjoy the paint and collect them and try new brands. Its ok. Other people collect funko pops or make up or pokemon cards...we can collect paint. ❤
I was a heroin addict for 12 years. I collect make up (theyre the art supplies for my face!) and art supplies. AT LEAST IT'S NOT HEROIN! People need to just let us collect what we want as long as we're not hurting anyone or ourselves, lol.
I am a hoarder myself, but I think at one point, we should just giveaway/ gift out supplies that we no longer use. I currently own paints that will last me 10+ years and I am not sure I will be painting by then...
@kunaljanvalkar2850 as somebody who has drawn for my entire life...I can guarantee it'll be a continued hobby. I can understand if it's somebody who decides to try art a year ago. More than likely they won't be drawing in 10 years. But for some of us art is their "it" thing. Kinda like saying I don't know if I'll be reading in 10 years.
@@Dausypoo I know that drawing stays with you. I have been drawing since I was six but I stopped during college. Now I am at it again after a break of eight years but I have seen that hobies fade away as you get less and less time to spend on them. I hope I keep drawing in my old age...
Love all of your palettes. My favorite watercolors are Gansai Tambi. I love the Japanese brands. They are very pricey!! But, I use them all the time. So, it's a great investment, which pays off @ the end. I also use a lot of glitter and metallic watercolors from other brands. I absolutely love sparkle!! Thanks for sharing your watercolors. I enjoy seeing other people's collection. Let us know, if you're planning on destashing. I wouldn't mind adding a few more to my collection. Thanks again.😁. P.S. You should keep them though. Because, many people have hobbies on collecting different things. I mostly collect colored pencils!!! That's my addiction.😍
I just recently started getting into painting, I didn’t even realize you had a painting channel Kori! ❤️I really like the Daniel Smith paints, I bought the green set, not realizing they were just 5ml, and I have 4 of the 15ml. I started putting some others in my cart but I think I might order the dot cards to use as a check list and rule out what colors I don’t want. Knowing me I will want to slowly collect them all. I also have a 24 pallet of Schmicke pallet, and a 5 tube set of granulating colors.
Loved this video! Great idea to share paint with friends! Roman Szmal paints are truly amazing and so well priced, you are so right! Subscribed and looking forward to seeing any new content you decide to offer!
Hello Kori, it's end of 2024 today and I'm glad to find your video. Would you mind sharing your experience with mijello bullet proof glass palette please? How to get rid of beading? Does it stain? Is it heavy? Thanks so much 🙏
Hey there. If you have beading, you will want to slightly roughen the surface with a magic eraser or scrubbing pad, then clean with dishwashing soap. I'm not the biggest fan of the bulletproof case because of the cost. It's not heavy, but it is bulky and large compared to my preferred favorite case.
Oh that's a fun idea. I saw this one where there is a corkboard and the tubes are hung upside down, and I really want to try it out because one side of my craft storage is all cork and I haven't used it lol
Suddenly I feel much better about my watercolor collection 😅 I've been dying to get the pastel set from art philosophy but it got too pricy 😩 I know though I'll eventually give up and buy it 😅 I've been eyeing the paul ruben blue sparkle watercolor color set just because of how beyond Beautiful it is! Until I realized that the paint was sparkly as well and I don't need extra sparkly glitter paint 😩😩, again I know one day I'll give up and get it 😂 thank you for taking us through your palettes it sure was fun and interesting 😊💖
Thank you for watching. Are you talking about the Paul Ruben one in the sparkly blue tin? Yeah there are so only so many uses I have for watercolors that have glitter and sparkle. But, I still try to use them when I can.
Wow its a lot of watercolour😮 ❤If you don't mind, I would like to buy your paints from Sennelier. I love them, but unfortunately I can't buy them from stores, too expensive for me. but if you do a cheaper price it will be great! ❤❤❤
I’m back. I have two mixed brand palettes. One is a mixed brand full pan palette and the other is a mixed brand half pan palette. I like the aesthetics of all my full pans together and my half pans together. I used to have the half and full pans in one palette but realized I didn’t like the way my palette looked 😁. I enjoyed the video, thank you!
@@watercolorwanderingwithk I was avoiding using my mixed half and full pan palette. Once I sorted them out into two separate palettes then I started using them again. Funny really, same paints but two different setups. 🤣
😊 So glad to see you have your new channel! Love your beautiful paints! Why didn't we get to see some artwork too? I will be here watching, just have fun!! Making art and playing with color!!👍🎨✍👋😃
I just started this channel, and I'm currently managing three channels, an Etsy store, a job and 3 kids ;). I am getting through my content as fast as I can, but wanted to share the paints I would be using in a lot of tutorials.
So, just wanna chime in for the sake of it to say that hey, I actually do have a larger watercolour collection than you Kori, and I don't even have a channel. I freaking love watercolours and my collection, and like you I occasionally de-stash. I think if we both wanna have "too many" watercolours, well, there are many other worse things we could do. All that to say, I LOVE videos of other people's collections so this was a wonderful video.
Lovely collection. I also love trying out different paints. I picked up a few of the small Daniel Smith premade 5ml sets that they made in collaboration with artists. They are all quite different and it was a great way to try out the paints before really diving in. Where did you get the plain metal palette that the Holbein is in? I could really use one for any extra pans I don't currently have in a "proper" paint palette.
I bought them from another artist here on TH-cam, Irit Landgraf. You can find them on her shop: iritlandgrafart.com/collections/watercolor-supplies-palettes-more
I want to try the M Graham paints. Phoenix is such a dry climate that I wonder how they will perform here as far as being sticky. Plus, I'm a watercolor newbie and honey watercolor junkie lol.❤
Lovely collection! Do you like the W&N Aqua Green? I've tried a handful of their paints and wasn't bowled over by them, but I would quite like to have Aqua Green I think. If I do, I'll get it in a pan instead of a tube, though. I don't like how their tube paints rewet
i think the same with all my palettes sometimes what if i can just combine them all!! then i think nah may be better to have them separate to grab and go 😂😂 oh the mental debates 😂
@@watercolorwanderingwithk i mean we can the size of the palette then comes into question 😂 cause it becomes less and less portable! qor tins make a nice not too large travel palette :) holds about 50 1/2pans i believe :)
I know this is from a year ago, but I had no idea that Prima Tek made so many different palettes! I knew they had a lot, but not that many. My first one was the Vintage Pastels and I HATE it, lol! Still don't think I'll buy any even though some of them are absolutely gorgeous, just cuz I have so many tubes of great quality paints that are the same colors and I don't like buying pans of paint. I like making my own pans. Edit: I refuse to buy pans cuz the amount is not worth it, unless it's Roman Szmal!

I'm curious how much white only because while they don't have to disclose it, there are a few paints in that set that are quite transparent, so I wonder how much and which white they have used.
