The "Beneath the Crescent Moon" gets me every time and it's not what you think. It's referencing the State Flag. I went to the Confederate Museum in Greenville a few years back and I saw the History of the Flag. It's not a moon. It LOOKS like a moon but it's a "Gorget" Check out the history :)
The script for this was written by someone who isn’t a native South Carolinian and obviously didn’t know that. Although, to be fair, I don’t think most people know it either. Most people think it’s the moon.
