first off, take off the muffler, second, complete de badge, chrome delete, then get into the more expensive shit like suspension and wheels, then sound system, then cosmetics, then wrap it in a nice color, then mess with the engine and the transmission. but overall the first mod… Pay it off💀💀
Hey Jay, happy 2024! First modification I made to the Q50 that had the biggest impact was replacing the trunk struts! No more unexpected slams (saves the fingers too)! Ha!
Always love the choice of your background during these vids...pretty sure that's a black Q50 behind you at 3:20. Or maybe that's an older M series. Couldn't quite tell.
Man you're right. The trunk struts were an early upgrade for me too and are totally underrated!
3.0t here and I have been using a Sprint Booster throttle controller and a BMS Stage 1 (JB1) set at +4. Also have an AMS heat exchanger, Enkei wheels with Conti Extreme Contacts and I’ve been very happy with just those mods. Next is lowering springs, blackout trim, cat-back, oil catch can and then I will be done. Just gonna drive it and have fun.
3.0 here first thing I did was aero, tints and, chrome delete. Personally want my car to look good off the bat. Then I jumped into the exhaust and grabbed the ark grip and the hotchkis sway bars. Currently deciding on suspension or rims, just don’t want to feel every bump in the road with coil overs like my last car.
For 3.0 Q50 yours first mod must be a heat exchanger. Even if you don’t plan to tune your car. It will help a lot to factory car to control car’s temperature. Than you do exhaust, wheels, ect.
The q50 behind home got me brooooo
1st mod on my q was the Tomei oil cap and inside mats..
Had to save up for the other mods..then came the scs exhaust
..money well spent
I just got my 1st Q50 and I am going to follow your suggestions. Thank you for putting in the work and I appreciate all your Q50 videos.
Can you recommend anyone good tires? I live in AZ driving in the mountains it’s fun. I don’t track the car.
Thanks in advance
O.
I appreciate that! Lots of videos on the channel if you have questions-there’s probably a video about it lol. Firestone firehawk indy 500 are a good tire but getting expensive. Continental extreme contacts are very hard to beat.
@@SpeedCultureStudios
Thank you for your reply. It will definitely take a look at those recommendations and make sure I look at the videos. Hard to fine a channel with content that makes great recommendations and shows how to do that job as well. Thanks 👍🏻
@@SpeedCultureStudios Hey bro,
I’ve been following your TH-cam videos for a while and really appreciate the work and effort you put into them. I just bought a 2014 Q50 with 50k miles and I’m on a tight budget since I used all my savings and a loan (which I’ll be paying off for the next year and a half) to get the car. I’m still a student, so my earnings are limited.
I live in Qatar, and the first mod I wanted to do was your custom exhaust system. I found a shop that will do it for $200, which is fine, but the problem is finding the parts. There’s nothing available here, and ordering online (e.g., eBay) costs $270 just for shipping, so I think I’ll hold off on that for a year.
One more important issue: the car needs new tires. The current ones are causing the car to shake at high speeds. I was thinking of getting new wheels and tires first since it’s a safety concern. Also, my suspension isn’t great and makes weird sounds over speed bumps sometimes.
Lastly, the weather here is extremely hot (40°C during the day and 36°C at night), and I race occasionally, which causes the car to heat up. I was thinking of getting an oil cooler, but since winter is coming soon, I might wait until next summer to install it.
What do you suggest? Which mod should I prioritize, and do you know any way to get parts shipped to Qatar for the exhaust? I really hate the stock exhaust, it feels like the engine is too muted.
Thanks!

Do you have the link to the lowering springs? I think the ones you used to have linked I think are sold out.
Definitely get the suspension upgrade n exhaust n tints n wheels. No tune for the 3.7 cuz it’s gonna be a daily car
Cut springs are the first upgrade 😎. We don’t do monster trucks here
😂
I’d definitely would recommend z1 rear diff bushings as a honorable mention ( based off the condition of your q50). If it’s cracked or leaking it a great fix for the car overall.
If the bushing has failed, then it should definitely be high on the list! I consider it more of a maintenance item than a mod though just because there really isn’t a good factory replacement.
Just bought coilovers hotchkis sway bar and end links for my Q ready for everything to come in 🔥
Hell yeah!
Sorry I can’t find when you added a seat to your q50. But I had a question, did you lose the mirror and steering wheel function after installed? I put new seats in and now my mirrors won’t adjust
Great vid as always, can you link the right springs for the 3.7 awd?
First mod for me is an ecutek tuned by goracebox. Instant 100+ hp over stock. , then heat exchanger.
First i did was heat exchanger and cooling system kit lol
Funny thing is I was just driving my Q50 and had to use both hands the way this car would feel unpredictable when going on uneven or rocky roads
Tints, black out the chrome trim on the back door, AMS intakes.
Are you still have the Q50 or you already sold it.
Its been sold. Check out my update video
I traded my 2010 infiniti g37x sedan in December and bought 2016 infiniti Q70L Awd sedan with technology and sport wheel and brakes packages 20 inch five spoke wheels and akebono sport calipers used with clean Carfax and one owner wit detailed service history.
Hey speed culture you should get another Q50 this time get the 3.0t we need your videos going.. not gonna lie but you you have very good real and interesting vids 👍 now its sad that you dont have your q kida kills it
The channel was never intended to only be a Q50 channel lol. It's an automotive channel. There is a ton of other stuff here! But I would like a 3.0t
get a 3.0t@@SpeedCultureStudios pls
@@Sleepy_VR_ 👍👍
So lower springs are just fine on this car? I thought they were prone to wearing out suspension vs coilovers? Thanks. On a side note z1 rear diff brace @120$ right now is an amazing diff bushing preventive maintenance and feeler mod.
I’m sure I mentioned that in this video and in others. You just have to have reasonable expectations.
I’m not sure if it a mod but me personally I would do a tune up spark plugs change transmission fluid than get a exhaust
Not a mod, but yes -- I always suggest the same when buying any vehicle! Great advnice
Got my redsport 2 weeks ago my first mod was an axle back muffler delete😂 Im thinking next will be LDP, Ams heat exchanger than some BOV just for sound. Then a couple bolt ons and look into getting tuned, eventually tuned on E85 with full down pipes
BOV = boost leaks.
@@KILLER_VR30 Worst comes to worse u can always take them off.
What are the details of exactly where you got your rear spoiler?
Check out my spoiler video. There are links in the description
Looking for an exhaust with growl but not super loud
Go with his custom one its amazing been running it for 3 months now n no regrets whatsoever and its sooo inexpensive compared to any exhaust system
i would recommend the cheapest (free) option, take off the muffler, it’s 6 bolts and two flanges, takes you 5-10 mins
No muffler or tip I would need axle back?
first mods i did was tune and HX. you know what it is lol
What spacers would you recommend for the 17" wheels? Looking to run low with stock wheels for a while & save up for wheels. Also, when purchasing the coilovers, is it recommended/required to install a camber kit and toe arms at the same time? Thanks!!
It's not a bad idea to get adjustable control arms when lowering. The rear does pretty well without, but front uppers is good to help really dial fitment and alignment.
before i watch ima guess tires or sway bars... maybe coilovers which ive yet to do myself but hey i got z1 turbos lmao
What was the name of the $300 lowering Springs
Pretty sure he said they are the 'Tein' lowering springs. Tein is the brand.
That is correct. Tein S Tech.
Yall peep the Q behind him on the hwy😂
That was a qx60
Can you tell me if the Q50's rear-wheel drive will be faster than all-wheel drive? I'm asking for the 3.7 version. Because on the internet it says the difference between them is about 0.3 seconds 0-60.
Check my awd vs RWD video! RWD is lighter. If you can get grip off the line, there is no reason it shouldn’t be faster
We’d love to have 93 octane in Cali or sub $4 gas for that matter.
Absolutely. I was in Sacramento a few months ago. Prices are nuts!
Get a q60 bro or q50 3.0t
can i add a flame tune with the scs exhaust?
yea but don’t have the borla muffler on it
Yes. I have videos on the channel shooting flames. Use in moderation.
@@SpeedCultureStudiosin your amazon shop you have 2 different resonators. is one better than the other or are both of them good and is just the price that’s different?
@@krazykanedude6362 both are good. Differences are explained in my SCS Catback video
i want to see your 37 against another
Hey, what kind of catalytic converter would you reccomend for a vq35h, that can pass emissions and give a decent performance boost and good sound.
High flow cats
Test pipes with a tune but hfc don’t need a tune
i pay 5.09 in la for 91😅
Здравствуйте.Есть ли смысл апгрейдить q50 2.0 t?
My q50 makes a weird suspension clunks when the rear drivers over a dip, or steep driveway up and down it , I’m on bc coilovers with hochkis sway and haven’t installed the rear differ bushings from z1 yet but I’m wondering what the noise might any ideas ? Does anyone else’s car clunk from the rear suspension
Check the end links make sure they are all good
Would love those wheels I can’t find them where I stay 😡
I broke the ice with suspension first
Good choice
Exhaust duh. If it’s a 3.0 the. Appearance
Just get newer oem coils and get new wheels bearings. And OEM or performance sway bar and links. Suspension is like 1k. Don’t waste ur money just get oem it’ll last longer
Oem lasting longer is not necessarily true and upgraded suspension has a massive impact on how the car handles. Not a waste of money at all 😂
