Mary hasn't been back since that day that I've seen so far ... who can blame her! She was really getting the treatment that day. But I'm sure she'll be back. Being a man, I can sympathize with the male squirrels. Hormones make them crazy, then they snap out of it and become their normal selves again. It's much more intense for them, but at least it's only a couple months out of the year!
We put out a mix of nuts like walnuts (mostly), pecans, hazelnuts, and almonds. Where we are in LA, there aren't many nut trees. Just fruit trees, maybe a live oak here and there, and a nearby pine tree. Joey here was mainly eating the sunflower and peanut bird mix that we buy for the house finches. Squirrels like it, too. We also try giving them fruit, but they seem to only like avocado and grapes. They just eat some of it. In this video there's some cut up persimmon, but they generally ignore it when we put it in a bowl. They'd rather take bites out of persimmons still on the tree! lol

One hungry squirrel what variety of food do you give them, Iv got peanuts ,walnuts some of my parrots mixed food and carrots.
