- This is an extended version of the scene with Bunawar helping to clear Rama's name and remove him from the equation of what went down in The Raid. In this version we also added information about Andi's involvement in delivering the truck to Bunawar's office to reinforce the relationship hinted at in The Raid.
This scene was streamlined in the final version of the film with Andi's moments taken out to avoid creating any confusion having already shown his death at the start of the film. The opening act played around with the chronology of events a lot and after much discussion this was deemed too much.
Bunawar really did protect Rama and Sgt. Bowo because the real member was 20, and he faked it to 18, and scary part is Reza was there inside interrogation room, knew Bunawar lied, because Reza is the one who initiate the attack
And finally Bowo founded with his wife and killed by Reza's army?

My theory is two possibilities: that somehow, Benjo ambushed Andi while en route to the compound, mainly killing any of his men that were still loyal to him and converting some them to his cause if they surrendered on the spot. The other possibility that seems more likely is that Andi was betrayed by his men and offered Andi as a gift to Benjo to let them join their ranks seeing the change of the criminal underworld going in favor of him.
I feel betrayed. How could they hid this scene from me...

I saw Raid 2 this morning and I'm still in an adrenaline rush, awestruck mode. I'm gonna rewatch it as soon as I catch my breath lol, and seeing these deleted scenes beforehand, really added more dimension to an already EXCELLENT film! Damn movie time constraints lol.

He prob wanted to keep Rama and Bowo's name out of that (I think he said there were 18 people and noone survived, but actually it was 20 along with these two), Reza was there when Bunawar reported (Reza knew he's lying obv, coz he's the one behind the events in TR:R)

Gareth Evans dan merantau film, sepertinya menarik kalau di tayangkan versi full nya, semua deleted scene. Kayaknya asyik pendalaman cerita dan karakternya. Meski durasi jadi 3 jam, saya rasa fans ngga masalah.

But I think enough time has passed now that I think I’m not likely to go back and revisit it. We had a lot of fun making those films, and I think we came to a nice, sort of natural conclusion with it. And I think sometimes you can have a little bit too much of a good thing.”

Raid 3 would probably go very high in the power echelons, probably involving the country’s highest ranks policemen (Chief ? Director ?).
Would be wicked if it would involve something crazy pseudo1history as well, probably some deal done with the Japanese that can be traced back to the inception of the country and the formation of national police corps.
They wouldn't make it because their best caracters are already dead (mad-dog, cecep arif rahman, joe taslim) so they can't make epic fight anymore 😀

After Tama's death there isn't a building anymore. Andi tried to rebuild the gang but I guess Bejo got to him first and offed him to prevent another rising power in the city.

awal2 niih film emang alurnya dibikin maju mundur, yg isinnya ringkasan2 adegan penting tentang motifnya "kenapa Rama mau nyamar deketin Uco", di film2 pada umumnya udah biasa ada alur maju mundur. mungkin karena durasi aslinya lama, jadi inti cerita nih film cepet2 difokusin ke konfliknya Uco aja. klo dikira2 kapan Andi mati kemungkinan pas Istrinya Rama udah lahiran, soalnya pas adegan pemakaman Andi, Istrinya Iko udah gak hamil lagi, sedangkan adegan di video ini kayaknya cerita tentang H+1 atau H+2 setelah Rama keluar gedung tama. soalnya mayatnya lt.Wahyu baru ditemuin.
