I like the two red for every white Classicolors, with a random twinkle bulb, here, and there. My pattern is red, white, blue, orange, green. Last year I changed every other white for pink, as I thought the white overpowered the display in brightness. About to place an order for this year!
up close {indoor xmas tree} I prefer the jeweltones also, outdoors from a distance I think either works as it becomes harder to distinguish the further away you are
@@fishbowl7098 I also really like the Jeweltone indoors. They look great. I think you are right from further away they are harder to tell the difference.
I have an idea to DIY twinkle lights that would be compatible with Tru-Tone. Buy multiple light strings with a very large spacing between sockets. Then, run multiple of them in parallel, slightly offset from one another. Finally, connect each string to a smart outlet/relay and program them to flash randomly. With this setup, groups of several bulbs will have the same (random) pattern. However, unless you look at them from a far distance, the pattern should only be repeated a couple of times adjacent to each other.
@@Supermath101 that’s a good idea. Most people would probably not notice the repeated pattern. I have thought about doing something like that to create a chaser effect. Could be fun to try.
I like how you're adding more red. Since clear/white is much brighter than red, in a one to one mix, the red get over powered. Adding two steady burning reds for each white, balances the color nicely. I also like the three red with one being a twinkle, but if you do that, I would keep the white steady burning. When you have three reds to one white, the reds overpower the mix when a white lamp twinkles. The twinkle reds in that case add some motion, and do over power the steady burning whites.
my pattern is 🔴🟢🟣🟡🔵 (yes, I'm one of those bozoes who uses purple LOL) 💜🤪 Speaking of purple, Tru-Tone has _yet another purple_ for this year LOL (though that's not JewelTone). I might order some. Their original "light purple" lights up as a pink, which my Mom loves, paired with their original "light teals." Their second "dark purple" is maybe like a fuchsia? I personally have those right now. Now I wonder how the new purples will look. Open your wallet 🤣
@@youdontknowme5969haha, adding purple seems fun. But yes, that’s different. I did red green blue yellow last year. If I remember right. They also have a darker teal now. Definitely Not good for the wallet. 😂
I have always liked the double color theme, with a twinkle separator as an option.
your our hero this christmas...thank you!
@@bjjwes2193 ha! Thanks
Great video idea, it was hard deciding on Classicolor v Jeweltone, I decided on Classicolor
@@purpllehayz1 that’s a good choice. They look amazing.
Thank you for this. I found I like a Red-Green-Green pattern for a Holly look. Try it out.
@@ericw357 thank you. I’ll try it!
Great video!! Both look great!! Especially with the twinkle. Does tru tone sell 25packs of only red jewel tone? Website only has 3 options.
@@Gabriel24-v2g yes. They do. It can be a little confusing. Go to the jeweltone page and the have a spot to pick the color

@@dynatrak as another comment said. It’s not good for our wallets 😂. I agree, I think whit overpowers if too much.
@@jaystus That's certainly the truth! I have to really pace myself, on purchases.

Where can we find the twinkle opaque bulbs?
@@dilipkanuga Christmas lights emporium . they were on sale for about $6 a box. (Close out) I’m trying to see if they have any left.
