You get what you pay for!!!! If the dress is *$4,000* and you find a site that sells it for just freaking *$300* ?!?!... that should have clued you in right there dear...
1. The star pupil can't turn 2. The dance instructor shouldn't be picking favorites 3. Maybe pick the dress with the girl instead of just ordering randomly
Grace C. 1. That’s incredibly rude. Everyone messes up sometimes but that doesn’t mean they aren’t incredibly talented. 2. Perhaps there was a reason why the dance instructor was buying her the dress. Maybe she couldn’t afford it herself. 3. Ok, I’ll give you that.
They were laughing at the DRESS, not HER, but it was still awkward. I also don't understand why the teacher told all the OTHER girls that she bought the dress for her, since she didn't buy one for anybody else.
If you watch the original video they did on knock off prom dresses you can see why they did that. It was because right after that, they gave the student a dress she deserved.
April Arlidge the thing I don't understand is that the teacher knew that it was a knock off, so WHY, in the whole world WHY would you make her try on the dress. Even if she was just going to put it on, but not show her dance class, just show them the pretty dresses.
I have bought 3 ball gowns and like 4 evening dresses online for different fancy dress occasions and weddings. Wouldn't dream of getting one for my wedding online. But the ones I have all gotten, I have been very happy with all of them and they ranged in price from £19.99 to £60 and £110 for a custom sized "belle" gown from beauty and the beast - which was worth every penny! Sometimes they need a little dart taken in them as they might be too large, or the straps on one were too long and left it sitting too low, but a little thread soon sorted that! It is all about expectations - don't expect a designer wedding gown worth thousands for like 10% of the price, as many people have already pointed out. But the sewing and dealing in my dresses have all been beautiful - no crystals, etc, but still beautifully done by hand! :D
I bought my prom dress online for $32. It was on sale from a clothing website I trust (I had bought from them many times before). I took my measurements, compared it to the size chart, and ordered it. It fit perfectly, I love that dress
I bought my prom dress online. I went to multiple stores and just wasn't happy with any. I searched for hours and found one online, and it was perfect.
I was about to post something similar. I can't imagine why anyone would think that that was going to be the real deal. That's 92.5% off retail. Come on! And then to get on the video complaining that the type of beading she was supposed to get vs the cheap sequins she got. Well, you paid $300 for a dress from China. Duh.
When I was shopping for wedding dresses I went to these really nice little stores and eventually fell in love with a gown that was $2500 which was over budget. So when we got home I went online amd searched for dresses like it. Found one that was almost completely identical for $500 from David's Bridal. Was so happy when I tried it on. Now I can't wait to wear it on the big day
I just don't understand why you would order something as important as a wedding dress sight-unseen from a website--especially since people review everything nowadays. I'd much rather spend the extra money and buy from a place I know is reputable.
Havent we learned that any cheap dress online is a red flag (aka knockoff)? How many times must someone get ripped off to finally learn the lesson? And tbh, that original dress in the picture was hideos anyay
Thank you! My thoughts exactly! There's so much proof that ordering nice dresses online at bargain price leads to disaster and waste of money. Can't believe people still fall for it
cheap doesn't always mean bad quality, the lolita and cosplay stuff i've bought from milanoo.com was cheap for lolita or cosplay, but it was tailored and very well made, i keep going back to them because any of their clothing with the 'tailored' option is both well made and affordable
That dress that the dance teacher bought wasn't actually that bad. It was just that it didn't fit the girl in the right places. They were all so terrible, I mean booing?
They were booing at the dress, they knew what was coming. In the original video, the girl was surprised with many dresses she was able to choose from that was from the real company
I don't know if I'm just being stupid, but if you see a dress for thousands of dollars on one website, and then the same dress for waaaaaay less on another, wouldn't you KNOW that the one that cost way less would be a knock-off?
No that's wrong ... As a customer and ordering something and getting something else is also called theft .... And these places should be held accountable
The only way I can see that happening is if it's a friend or relative selling you something nice at cost, which of course was not the case here so I don't know what she was thinking.
So basically it's an advertisement for Say Yes to the Dress. They didn't even tell us what stores they ordered from so we know which ones not to shop at.
It's common sense.... Don't buy from cheap ass websites! If you see a dress at the original retail price, only buy it at that retail price from REPUTABLE websites! You're just asking to be scammed if you think you're gonna get the same dress for 1/8 of the cost.
plupap After the ceremony, I’ll make people spill wine on my white wedding dress, go up on a mountain, and take my wedding photos while my dress is on fire.
Oh honey, the beadwork on the real dress alone would cost $300 and you actually thought you were going to get that dress at that price? Just rent a dress at that point
I bought a knock-off wedding gown from China. It was the wrong color (white instead of ivory) but it was perfect. Beautifully tailored and just so gorgeous. I actually wasn't expecting it to be so professionally done. I guess I got super lucky (although I had a back up dress just in case). HAHA
"At the fraction of the original price." Not sus at all 🤣. I've been bargain shopping for years, so I know what to expect. I haven't lost a few hundred bucks on an item tho. Glad I'm too paranoid already 😆
+Jasmine Oooo, you sure showed me! I guess you win, lol But hey; good job looking like a little punk while *still* being stupid, lol... *that* takes skill!
Same thing just happened to me! I bought a blouse from Amazon and it took forever to be delivered and when I got it it was no where close to what it looked like online so I tried to return it but they’re saying that I have to pay my own shipping fee and if I don’t then they’ll just refund me 10%. I argued and threatened to give them a bad review and now they’re offering 15%. I just wasted my money on something so crappy.
You get what you pay for!!!!
If the dress is *$4,000* and you find a site that sells it for just freaking *$300* ?!?!... that should have clued you in right there dear...
😂😂 ikr !
Yep Alan,, damn right
People don't have a brains! They just look and buy! What a disappointment for them lol.. HAHAHAHHA
Thats what I was inns say
Why is that? Fabric is not that expensive and that $4000 is mostly labor and/or the brand you're paying for.
1. The star pupil can't turn
2. The dance instructor shouldn't be picking favorites
3. Maybe pick the dress with the girl instead of just ordering randomly
Everyone fails sometimes. Maybe they just caught it in camera at a bad time
Dont say that i bet u seen worse
But the dress with the girl photo could still be copied
Grace C.
School teachers pick favorites too sooo it's kinda normal now
Why the heck do they make the dancer go out and show her class? They were laughing at her. Poor girl.
April Arlidge it was for her Sweet 16
April Arlidge the thing I don't understand is that the teacher knew that it was a knock off, so WHY, in the whole world WHY would you make her try on the dress. Even if she was just going to put it on, but not show her dance class, just show them the pretty dresses.
Chloe. Aldc - Because they wanted to show how bad the dress was.
Should not complain. They got what they paid for
Van Le haha true
Van Le hehe true
And it wasn't even that of a nightmare compared to the others fails shown in this video...
Rule #1, try the dress on first. In other words, don't buy online.
Exactly!
My question is why on earth would you buy a dress that you have never tried on?
TheDodicat I've only made one online mistake and it was $5 not $300 and the biggest day of my life.
I bought my prom dress online. I went to multiple stores and just wasn't happy with any. I searched for hours and found one online, and it was perfect.
Why would you wear clothes you've never tried on?
How can you hope to find a 4000 dress for 300 dollars? Girl! Value the art and work people put into the dress! X.x
Ikr she literally is supporting knock offs
It's all slave labor. No matter what or how much you spent.
A $4,000.00 dress for $300.00? Who is really that stupid?
Candice! HAHAHHA
I wouldn't say stupid as people have dreams for their weddings. It's a painful lesson.
It's pretty much stupid and lack of common sense.
I was about to post something similar. I can't imagine why anyone would think that that was going to be the real deal. That's 92.5% off retail. Come on! And then to get on the video complaining that the type of beading she was supposed to get vs the cheap sequins she got. Well, you paid $300 for a dress from China. Duh.
It does happen. However, if never gamble like that!
The original was ugly too...
Dylan Hemmings *to
Your a Good Egg nope it's too
Your a Good Egg it's actually too did u not learn to spell at school
Conan English is difficult for us foreigners. But he/she shouldn't have said it was wrong if he/she wasn't sure
ExoPanda ok?
"Her star pupil" * Brianna barely does turn*
IKR! I don't like that this teacher is picking favorites. My dance instructor would never do that. And she didn't even get a double
it's a pirouette btw 😂😂😂
+Mikaela Gibson YES YOU GET ME
+Mikaela Gibson she probably thinks she some dance biggot 😒
exactly what I thought...
why would you buy a wedding dress online
She really thought the most amazing day she would have could come with a cheap dress
You don't need an expert to tell you that they're big plastic silver sequins
Dakota J-L lmao
When I was shopping for wedding dresses I went to these really nice little stores and eventually fell in love with a gown that was $2500 which was over budget. "a dres for her STAR PUPIL..."
*shows clip of said start pupil falling out of a double*
nochu LMAO
star* and she did good. I can’t do a Pirouette at all. She is allowed to shake.
DawnOfTheLight10 MSP Well, She was not focused at all during the pirouette. You need to spot and stay balanced.
DawnOfTheLight10 MSP Maybe good compared to you, but they're talking about being good at just ballet, not compared to anyone else.
I was searching for the comment about her falling out of a turn.
I just don't understand why you would order something as important as a wedding dress sight-unseen from a website--especially since people review everything nowadays. I'd much rather spend the extra money and buy from a place I know is reputable.
she bought her star pupil a dress? firstly why? and secondly her star pupil cant even turn properly
it was still a nice thing to do though
600firefly1 right! she needs to focus on getting the girls to at least be able to do a clean pirouette.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who is bothered by stuff like that - most definitely not what you have your student perform for the cameras.
Lost Control but yah why would also the dance teacher tell that
I read the story, the girl couldn't afford anything so her teacher wanted to do something nice
You get what you pay for. $4000 to $300? You gotta question that.

Glad I'm not the only one who thought that $4,000 dress looked bad.
Ikr why get that lady the correct dress in the end? I mean, she hardly deserves it.
I feel very little empathy for these cheaters. A knockoff is a pirated copy of someone else's hard work.
Nikki D u nailed it....she got played
Yeah...
BUT CHEAPER!!!😈💲👚
I see your point!
0:32 that little kid did a better turn than Brianna
Noodle hey don't say that about me
Different Briana.
So itz obvi it was a mistake
At least Brianna can actually spin
@Him Him
Hater alert
I don't really get the difference between the two green dresses😅😅
Debarati Barma ones fake
Sylveon ex but how can u tell by just looking?
Bad stitching, the bottom part looks untidy. If you see it in person you would notice the lack of quality.
It just looked too big to me.
Depends where you purchased the "knock off"
I sent my measurements to a lady in China, and for $100, I received a gorgeous, handmade dress!
A difference between a mass produced dress and a handmade tailored dress from a seamstress. And it may have been her own inspired design
I did the same thing
My mother, literally told me, “If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is” momma was right.
That dress that the dance teacher bought wasn't actually that bad. It was just that it didn't fit the girl in the right places. They were all so terrible, I mean booing?
I know!!
They were booing at the dress, they knew what was coming. In the original video, the girl was surprised with many dresses she was able to choose from that was from the real company
Obviously cheaply made garbage, tho.
I don't know if I'm just being stupid, but if you see a dress for thousands of dollars on one website, and then the same dress for waaaaaay less on another, wouldn't you KNOW that the one that cost way less would be a knock-off?
That would be common sense.
It's her own fault and called common sense. When u see sth online for not even one tenth of what it is supposed to cost your alarm bells should ring
She really thought she was about to get a 4,000$ dress for 300$ 😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I am so done.
Well, the model and the body your putting the dress on also has a lot to do with how it looks.
only the shape... the beads or diamonds dont change bc of that lmao
Rahwa Rahel a good model with a good body can work anything out ,even the fake diamonds or beads.
+Dionicio Baca Oh, if only
Dude, no. Never. Hold true sapphires and plastic side by side. You'll see.
Erika Fiore show me
You get the quality you pay for. There's no surprise in that.
China..
jimmy perkins I'm dead😂😂😂
I don't get it...
Egg China makes knock offs of everything and most if not all of the time it's a terrible knock off as seen in the vid
Not all.
Not necessarily
who buys a wedding dress online lol
The checkered purple and white dress was the worst
A L I Y A wdym? It’s the best one!
“disturbing” that’s a bit much lmao
Original dress $4,000 ... other dress $377. Come on! She paid for a prom dress and expected it to be Haute Couture. Lol! People!
No that's wrong ... As a customer and ordering something and getting something else is also called theft .... And these places should be held accountable
That $4000 dress has at least $2000 worth of expensive material and experienced labor put into it. How can you possibly hope to get it for $300?
With a ridiculous sense of entitlement.
The only way I can see that happening is if it's a friend or relative selling you something nice at cost, which of course was not the case here so I don't know what she was thinking.
I can't be the only one who saw the "star pupil" bobble her pirouette, talk about picking favourites
I'm sorry but come on use common sense especially with designer dress.
4000 for a dress that will be worn once?, Total stupidity
whyyyy tho... never buy your wedding dress from those sites. dawwww
I’m rolling 😂😂 this needs to be a series
what do they expect if it's $3700 cheaper than the $4000 dress?
So basically it's an advertisement for Say Yes to the Dress. They didn't even tell us what stores they ordered from so we know which ones not to shop at.
Oh good point. 😹I didin't realize that.
It's common sense.... Don't buy from cheap ass websites! If you see a dress at the original retail price, only buy it at that retail price from REPUTABLE websites! You're just asking to be scammed if you think you're gonna get the same dress for 1/8 of the cost.
lesson: DON'T BUY CHEAP CLOTHES
JOSHUA W or you can just ask for pictures of the real product before you buy. some sellers do that if you ask them.
More like never buy clothes from the internet
Star student?? She can't even spin properly
At least she can actually dance
@Isabella Blum wait i posted this comment 2 years ago HAHAHSJKAJSS
That 300 version actually looked a lot better than I thought it would.
Lmao the model and mannequin obviously have nothing to do with how it looks irl 🙄
The same criminals calling us with phone scams must be sewing this garbage at the same time.
why do you want to buy your wedding gown online?
This is why you don’t buy wedding dresses online
$4,000 for a dress you're going to wear once? I get that it's a special day, but geez.
Maybe she is going to where it for another wedding
+Geek Kinda This guy.
plupap After the ceremony, I’ll make people spill wine on my white wedding dress, go up on a mountain, and take my wedding photos while my dress is on fire.
Hi Chica!
The green dress is literally not bad. It would look great if ironed.
I just wrote the same thing. I said it was a very pretty dress it just needed to be pressed
Why would you order a wedding gown online.
If you can't afford a wedding you can elope
y’all expect a $99 dress to be good? 😂😂
I mean...what did they expect?? 👀🙄
Remember that purple dress?
Mine.
When you order anything from the WISH app
Brianna can't even do a turn 0:32😂😂😭
This is why I never buy dresses online...
Lmao she doesn't look bad in the knock off dress, just put it in a washing machine and boom more awesome
You pay for what you get!
People still fall for "too good to be true" over and over again.
Well obviously it's gonna be fake if it's that much cheaper then the original
OMG me and my mom at Love Yes to the Dress it's one of my favorite shows and now it barely even comes on TV....
They got the dress for a cheaper price and expect the same quality??? Hmmmmmm
And this is the reason you don’t shop online you especially dresses
Really - anyone with half a brain should know better than to buy a gown on a website for that cheap :(
Oh honey, the beadwork on the real dress alone would cost $300 and you actually thought you were going to get that dress at that price? Just rent a dress at that point
if it sounds too good to be true....
I am obsessed with *"Say YES To The Dress"* that show is awesome!
I bought a knock-off wedding gown from China. It was the wrong color (white instead of ivory) but it was perfect. Beautifully tailored and just so gorgeous. I actually wasn't expecting it to be so professionally done. I guess I got super lucky (although I had a back up dress just in case). HAHA
This is the thing about getting good quality cheap things
New headline:
Me mortified because lady actually didn’t even have second thought about ordering such an important dress online!
Honestly when I saw the picture on the video it took me a few seconds to see which one was the good one
If that was her star pupil I dread to see what her worst is!
Lmao
People make mistakes like you can any better
"At the fraction of the original price."
Not sus at all 🤣. I've been bargain shopping for years, so I know what to expect. I haven't lost a few hundred bucks on an item tho. Glad I'm too paranoid already 😆
But the star pupil was the worst dancer in that clip they showed!! Looool
ilivace you’re just jealous she can spin better than you can
They're cheaper for a reason. It wouldn't make sense that you got the same quality dress for a cheaper price. 😂😂😂😂😂🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️
This channel Is dead asf
Like you're brand
+Jasmine haha
+JonyTheMan Lol, fail 😜
Oʍɢ tɦɨs ɨs աɦat ʏօʊ ɢʊʏs aʀɢʊɛ aɮօʊt
+Jasmine Oooo, you sure showed me! I guess you win, lol
But hey; good job looking like a little punk while *still* being stupid, lol... *that* takes skill!
You payed $300 for a dress, you get what you pay for
This is what you get when you try to save a buck and buy online.
I wouldn't leave something as important as an wedding dress up to chance !!
Is it just me 0:22 isn't that bad
I know
I love when ppl redo the bad ones
You get what you pay for
Shouldn’t this website be band for selling dresses like that?
Not to be rude but, what did they expect? Its the internet. I think some things you just shouldn't shop for online.
Never trust the internet for clothes and dresses especially for a special occasion
lol... you get what you pay for. plain and simple.
Some things you just don't shop for online.... SMH
So now we’re shopping for wedding dresses online? Literally the most important thing to buy in our life time? Wow..
I just wasted my money on something so crappy.
report them
I’ve been ugly laughing for 20 minutes 🤣🤣🤣🥴🥴
i love your news
Omg the ones that were in the beginning were beautiful!
Wow she has favorites...
And you think people would learn not to shop online for dresses especially if it's that cheap
If your entire wedding is only 4000 there something wrong
not if you do a small wedding and whithout a church and stuff like that.
Christine Dong You can actually do a lovely wedding on less than $5,000. The key is keeping everything simple.
Margot Robinson I know my mom did a 3,000 dollar wedding and it was bad so we had to do it 3 years later
Christine Dong , dayum!😱
Can anyone find the gold digger?
Who'd buy their wedding gown online and not do research or use a reliable source...
This is why I hate buying stuff online!
