Just such a shame they killer him off again in 2005, I know Grantham had that online sex scandal but honestly compared to what happened to Grantham before he got the role of den it makes the mind boggle that they killed off permanently one of the most popular characters especially considering the BBC begged him to come back to the show since 1991. It would have been great to have seen Den interact with Peggy and Grant and later on characters like Derek Branning and Archie.

Dens return did not have the desired effect. He was a shadow of the man he once was in his 80s heyday. Anita Dobson had the right words when asked about returning 'why tarnish a gorgeous creation' .
Den returning could’ve worked had Leslie Grantham: 1. Not be a perv on that webcam with that girl 2. not trash talked about his costars on said webcam Den’s fate was sealed when that scandal happened. It was right after did we see him become a creepy asshole.
From a 2003 episode of EastEnders where Den Watts(the late Leslie Grantham)returns from the dead this time he's back from the dead well until his wife Chrissie Watts along with Sam Mitchell and Zoe Slater ambush Den and kill him in the Vic.
Though I still believe Dennis and Sharon was incest (if she calls Vicki her sister, then Dennis is equally her brother), Sharon and Zack would be even more incestuous because Zack is her natural brother.

@@NB-bj6bf Exactly Den raised Sharon as his own daughter, blood or not he was still her dad and she was still his daughter. He found her relationship weird with Dennis as he saw all three of them equally as his children biological or not , it made no difference as they were all his kids.
Dennis and Sharon weren't blood related nor were they raised together but it was weird that den her adopted father was Dennis real father and Vicki's too but it would vitherr vicki because Dennis was her biological half brother and Sharon her adopted sister. Zac is her real brother by her dad's side and Vicki's too. Den was right to be bothered but some people also thought he had an unhealthy relationship with Sharon. Maybe that was why he treated his wives angie and chrissie badly and even Michelle
