This is absolutely crazy. I’ve never seen or heard of a place where they say: tourists eat free.
It’s insane that you have to fight to actually pay for your meal.
I know exactly how you feel, its embarrassing. It only shows, people who have very little are the most giving people in the world. I love them for it ! It wants to make you support those people even more. Unreal and amazing at the the same time.
The hospitality experience is absolutely insane. Such kind, warm-hearted and generous the locals are. Truly, you have to experience it for yourself to believe!

So you've heard the word "Jugar" which Adil uses, it's basically Pakistan's "Hakuna Matata". It's the ability to find a solution around everything and you can see it common in many Pakistanis because we always end up getting the work done. Textile is biggest industry in Pakistan, even worldfamous clothing brands place orders to Pakistani textile mills, the leftover and non export quality cloths of these brands are sold as 1st copies etc. There are insane amount of textile mills in Pakistan. They basically does 3 productions 1- cloths for famous brands 2- leftovers first copies etc 3- running there own named Pakistani clothing brands of great quality

I really admire that you tipped the man at the lassi shop. This culture of not letting people pay can be abused eventually and we need to spread awareness so that people who are not taken money from have an understanding that these are poor people who barely make anything so it would be sensible to tip the workers if they're not taking money from you.

There are many polyglot in Pakistan. I speak English, urdu, punjabi, siraiki, pashto. And also sign language.

Halva is made from fine semolina and they add raw sugar and almonds and sometimes dried fruit and its cooked in ghee or butter in a big wok and it cooks like a very moist cake.

Their food looks amazing. Our local buffet restaurant cater for the Pakistani community too and I tried Haleem, Pani puri and carrot Halwa for the 1st time. I've saw it a few times on various blogs. All was delicious.
@ 24:56 it is called "gunderi" (small cylindrical cuts of sugarcane) ppl don't eat those but Chew. Once get done with the juiceing and squeezing spitout the fiber.

I have travelled to 40+ countries, and left my home country Pakistan about 15 years ago. There are tens of things I do not like about Pakistan but nowhere in the world you will find hospitality that you find in Pakistan. My people have many ills, but we are top notch when it comes to treating our guests.
