  • I took the challenge to see how far $10 could go in old town Delhi with my friend @GoWithAli . At first I thought it would not last very long but It ended up lasting most of the day and you will see in the video I was able to pack in many things such as chai, food, clothes, sweets and a massage. Old town Delhi is such a great spot to meet new people and try new foods.

      . @TaZeR I don't think there's any simple answer to why they charge more. It's all a vicious economic cycle. They actually should turn on their meters as per govt. rules, but I guess the meter rates might be too low to earn a decent income. So that's one of the main reasons why they charge more.

    • @bharatkapoor4062
      @bharatkapoor4062 2 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      @TaZeR they are not charging ore actually Uber ola is playing with prices by giving coupon discount and other scheme they are killing the passanger of auto so people prefer more ola uber

    • @owaismalik
      @owaismalik 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      OLA/UBER are big companies so they can give discounts. Autos charge more because mostly are on rent and they have to pay their owners and save money for themselves as well. But there are some who ask for unbelievable amounts so beware of them lol

    My Indian sister in law makes chai with milk, lots of raw sugar, crushed ginger, whole cinnamon sticks, whole cardamom pods, whole cloves etc, and she lets it steep until all the flavours leech into the chai and then she strains it into enamel bowls we drink from. It is delicious, and the milk comes fresh from their own 2 house cows. Her 3 kids take turns milking the cows. I like the way they leave the calf with the cow until it's quite big, unlike NZ where the babies are taken away from the mother within 12 hours, causing great distress to mother and baby......then they stupidly bottle feed the calves, a long time consuming process.

      @@harryjaggardtravel The best is home made Harry, as with Indian food. Each region of India has it's own version, as does each family have their own passed down recipes. And Pakistani chai is different again.....but they all have a form of milk chai (dood chai). You can practice making it with full fat milk, the amount and type of sugar you like, and small amounts of your favourite aromatic spices......start with just cinnamon sticks, cardamom and a little ginger.....later you can add cloves if you like it that way.

    Harry, the silver bar dessert that you said didn't taste that well. Actually it was the most expensive of the bunch(and also expected to be the most tasty one)
    Its called Kaju Katli, and it is made up of grinded cashew nuts.
    Because it is comparatively less sweet than other dessert you ate before it, I think your taste buds were not able to register its taste.
    Next time if possible try it without eating anything sweet before it.

    hi harryyyyy i just came here to say that i love to see your videos in India. Yesterday i tried to watch someone else's vlog and it seems others are very pretentious and don't care for the culture, even calling the areas by terrible names. I swear i couldn't even get through someone else's vlog without wondering "why travel there if you're going to shit talk it the whole time?"
    So what I'm trying to say is I so appreciate you and your kindness towards absolute strangers. I love that you smile and wave and attempt to speak with everyone as well as speaking with the viewers. You're such a sweetheart! 🥺💙

    The silver sweet you tasted at last is damn tasty and veryyy famous in India. Almost everyone loves it! Its called Kaju Katli. Kaju Katli is all made with crushed "Cashew Nuts" with thin layer of real silver foil but beaten into very very thin layer of real silver.
      Some or all of all the clothes and caps etc. you are buying should be real Brands from the West who get their manufacturing done in India, as they are manufactured here, they may be surplus stock or rejects because of small mistakes like missing stiches or buttons or wrong size label etc. I dont think in India they have money to fake clothes so much.

    If you wanna know the ingredients of Chai, they are :-
    1. Chai Patti (Tea leaves)
    2. Milk
    3. Water
    4. Ginger
    5. White (Refined) Sugar
    He has added milk and water. The ratio will be 2:1. Sugar as per the taste. Tea leaves also as per the taste or mostly it's half to one teaspoon.
    Once it has given 1 boil, you can add grounded or shredded ginger. For an added flavour you can add grounded cardamom as well.
    Both ginger and cardamom are optional.
    Give it a boil at a low to medium flame for 2-3 minutes (be cautious, if you boil it at a high flame it might spill out).
    That's it, your tea is ready.
