Spraying the wool and metal can help with preventing the wool from unsticking. We have to use the stuff when insulating duct boards and they always taught us cover both surfaces.
The riv nut is pure genius though. I'm a contractor. I have a Chevy Express 2500 extended length van. I watch tons of van buildouts. Nobody had the genius of using that. Kudos to you!
They sell wire specifically for holding up insulation. You'd normally use it in walls or crawlspace ceilings in homes to support fiberglass insulation batting. I'm planning to use it to support the Havelock in my own Express. I figure I'll connect it to the existing holes in the metal studs.

I don't know if this message will catch you early enough. But those furring strips are weak and will split. Get some three quarter inch plywood and cut it into strips. You could bend it better and it will hold the screw better. Anyhow I'm still watching the video. Probably you complete the process
You are suppose to spray your glue for insulation to both pieces and put it exactly in place starting from one end because it permanently sticks on contact. No need to hurry spraying the glue because it should dry before to make contact and you don’t need to worry about it falling again.

Do you think you'll sell that big rivet tool if you wont need it anymore? I think it was the right idea to go that route + to go for the wool, even if it was more $. Nice work on getting the van closer to what you need, the only concern is that insulation cover by the panels, probably I’ll put a layer of barrier after the insulation then the paneling, just to block hot and cold weather coming into the van. I’ll be looking for the next video, cheers!!!!!!
Havelock wool doesn’t necessarily need a vapor barrier if that’s what you’re referring to! They say it’s optional, and to be honest I’d rather leave it as is than risk putting a vapor barrier in the wrong place and causing more issues than if I didn’t have one! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Edit: wait I understand what you mean, you mean the plywood right? Tbh that panel might be more temporary than anything, it was mainly so the bags and stuff I loaded into the van for the trip to Florida didn't end up snagging and pulling the insulation off the walls. But please elaborate on what you mean, I don't want to screw up if I can help it haha.

Because the tube was stuck in the bottom of the container and I could only fish it out once it was warm enough outside to tip it on the grass and get water everywhere lmao
I have a passenger express so half my van is windows. You think one bag of that insulation will be enough? or go with 2 to be safe and just stuff whatever is extra
On the insulation, did you end up using both bags fully, or did you need more or less? I just got my van and want to start preparing, also $150 is a lot for 1 bag, but I've wanted Havlock Wool for awhile now so I definitely want to go that route. Our vans are somewhat similar in size, so I'm just curious.
So I definitely ended up needing both bags. I didn’t finish them off completely, but it was close enough. Also, don’t forget to insulate the front of the cab above the headliner! I almost did.
The Bluetti battery I’m using does not have a built-in fuse box - not to my knowledge! It’s one solid unit, you can’t take it apart! My electrical engineer friend sort of made the electrical plans around this battery unit, which was a bit of a workaround in the first place. But in short, yeah the fuse panel is necessary if I want to use all three inputs, because I’m routing them through the rotary switch.

I bought two bags; it gave me plenty to work with to sufficiently cover the walls and ceiling, plus fill all the gaps. I still have to insulate the door panels, and I have enough wool leftover for that as well!

It will also help reduce the chance of mold in the wool from the warm interior and cold exterior! Moisture is not your friend in a small space.
