    Iwork for a non-profit and have been asked to create a Training Manager for the upcoming year. I found this video and it seems perfect for our needs. I was wondering if you had a template I could download. I've been trying to create this from the video, but it's been challenging cuz I'm somewhat of a novice and you speak really fast.     Thanks so much for this tutorial its great! Lets say I wanted to add a training matrix tab to this, what would you recommend? By training matrix I mean a sheet to show all required training and each employee's training status (incomplete, in progress & complete) basically to show what training is complete or still required for each employee

      Hi and thanks for your comment. The custom color picker is just a bunch of rectangle shapes grouped together, then named and hidden. It is just displayed when i select on specific cells.

    Hey from AUS, I love your videos and specially this one being able to use it in my new role at work. I have tried to edit and mold your training manager then import it at work, the problem is that when i open the spread sheet non of the macros work because of the level of internet security we have. Is there anything I can do to work around this to have all the macros and coding to work ??

    Great video and downloaded the file and reworked it to use in my job. Really so handy. But wouldn't there be a possibility that if an employee starts 2 trainings at the same date, that it is visualised in the schedule separately instead that it is only visible for 1 training? If they have both same begin and end-date you lose the overview. That would make it even better for my application.

    So I've been following this as best as I'm able and while there were hiccups I've been able to make it all work the way you've shown it. However you've got several spreadsheets that weren't shown on how they were made. Do you have the other spreadsheet how to's somewhere on your channel or are the supporting worksheets left to be figured out by us?

    I was wondering if there was a template for a simplified version of this? I have about 14 topics I train throughout the year. Sometimes I repeat them if needed. I’m trying to come up with something that I can show each training for the year and the most current date.

    I love your tutorials, but was wondering why when you made tables you don’t use the excel table function.

I do use tables when i create dashboard and use pivot tables and pivot charts, however I find tables a bit limiting and constraining and I like to define my own specific ranges. Its more of a personal choice and there is nothing wrong with using tables. Certain instances it can save a lot of time for sure.

      @@ExcelForFreelancers Im looking for a software could help me to archiving employees documents (contracts, sick leaves, salary statements, courses .. etc) in a main folder and each one has a sub folder with details sub folders (contracts, health, Financial, evaluation, training courses) sub folders as a tree structure.     Hello Randy, i have found a problem in the code. The application works fine as long as the user behaves as predicted but if he or she does something weird there is going to be an error. For instance, delete an attachment row where you have only introduced a random letter ( using the bin icon shape button).

    Where do you add new employees? Is that done on the employee tab, in column B? I tried this but nothing else updated. No update on the Empl.ID, or the sorted columns. I am clearly doing something wrong and dont quite understand the process. I also tried to add more training types in the admin tab, but the list didnt grow once I pushed past the last space as expected. Any help with this would be appreciated. Thanks

      @@ExcelForFreelancers I have rewatched the video 6 times and no where does it mention how to add or subtract employees and have the sorted columns be auto updated. You copied the links from the sorted column on Employees Tab to the Employee column on the schedule. But dont reference how to add or remove employees. When I add new training, the employees that I add manually to the master list are not in the drop down, as the sorted column isnt updated. If I manyally add a name to the sorted column, it will show up but not sorted. And I have to add the name manually to the schedule to have it show up there as well. I am sure I am doing something wrong and there is an easy fix. Sorry to be so out to lunch on this.

      HI and thanks for your comment. I discussed the employee database. so named would have to be added manually and then you can run the sort employees at any point you want. Due to time restraints there were limited features on this template. You can add and remove employees manually. If i was selling this as an application, instead of a free template and training, I would be adding a lot more features such as ways to add and remove employees and auto-sort on addition or subtraction of Employees.       Hi, first of all, it's a good update to the program, but I was thinking more about a filter like the one you made for the training database, so that the sorted list of the workers was automatically created, so that it always fit if there was a change in the workforce@@ExcelForFreelancers

    EXCELLENT WORK! I love how you explain what the code is doing. I would second @PmxQhse's request for a "CERTIFICATES EXPIRE SOON" feature. A lot of companies require retraining after a set period of time has expired. In our facility our production schedule changes constantly. A feature to create a production schedule around associates who are trained to do the scheduled processes would be invaluable.
