This is Miranda Larrieu in MGF1130. I now understand that just because the sentence has the word "and" in it, it does not necessarily make it a compound statement. Thank you for the video
Samantha Probert One thing I liked about this video was how you started off with the basis of the word problems ("if, then", "and, or", "not" statements) before moving onto the mathematical equations and replacing the connective words with symbols to represent the type of statement being made. I've never been able to fully grasp some types of math equations because it's felt very ambiguous to me, and word problems always tended to make more sense in my mind, so the way you taught this was fantastic and I really understand!
Neil Padua one thing i learned in this video is to clearly identify the symbols for the connectives "and", "or" and " not" and what kind of statements those connectives words are. thank you Ms. Hearn!
Hi this is kevin bellido, A key takeaway is the role of connectives like and, or, and not in forming compound statements. The video explained how these connectives are used to combine simple statements, allowing for more complex expressions in logic.

[ Jessica Minter | MGF1106 ] Thank you Professor! This video helped me understand the meaning of the symbols used when working with compound statements.
Dorcas Alao - I learned Understanding these concepts allows you to analyze logical arguments and constructs more effectively, providing a foundation for more advanced topics in logic and mathematics.
Gabe A - MGF1130 One thing that I liked about this video is that you specify the symbols and the connectives words. It makes it a lot easier to understand the statements.

Hi Ms. Hearn Brandon LaChance what I learned from this video really helped me learn the difference of all the symbols we learn in logic thank you.

You’re welcome!

This video helped me understand the meaning of each symbol for compound statements
Farah Ekhraiwesh, This video helped me understand how to translate symbols to words.

This video helped me understand negation and, how it is false and how the negation of a false statement ends up being true.
