Who am I :
My name is Isabel and I'm Dutch. My approach to ASMR video’s is combining entertainment in a form of imagination and fantasy (almost movie like) with relaxation. All wrapped into one video for you. This way you can enjoy my videos either before you go to bed to drift off easier, or you can just take a moment of relaxation during the day to calm down and relieve stress.

Hallo allemaal! Bedankt voor het kijken en luisteren naar mijn video! Excuus voor de reflectie in mijn bril, daar had ik beter over na moeten denken. Dit was een lastige video om te maken omdat hij is opgenomen in een fysiotherapie praktijk! Hopelijk vind je dit een fijne video om mee te ontspannen!

As a german speaker Dutch is always funny to hear because at some point you think you understand it completely and then it sounds like something straight out of Sims at least for me.

Its pretty cool to hear how similar sounding Dutch, German and English are. They’re are all from the same branch of the Proto-Indo-European language tree.
Dutch sounds nothing like english, neither does german sounds like english, not sure how you came to this conclusion?
Armando Ramon I don’t know how broad your understanding of these particular languages is, but there’s a reason it’s far easier for let’s say a Dutch native speaker to learn either of the other two languages than it is for them to learn Italian or Russian
@@dylann.918 i am asking why he thinks it sounds similar, i am not talking about the origin of the languages, which are obviously related.
To repeat, it does not sound similar at all, the only dutch dialect/language that is actualy close related to english (from which you could say, yes they sound kind of ish the same) is frisian, but not Dutch or german, not at all.
Armando Ramon They do actually sound similar. Dutch is a tad harder for me but I can and did definitely pick up on German words far easier as an English speaker. They are related for a reason. And lots of German speakers say they can understand some Dutch and vice versa. You’re really not in your element here. Doesn’t seem like you understand linguistics at all. Dutch and English are Germanic languages. We share certain grammar and vocabulary. English obviously has a lot of words we’ve lifted from other languages (largely Greek, Latin, French, Spanish, and indigenous American and African languages because of colonization and slavery), but many of our words and our grammar especially are of Germanic etymology and origin.
@@parryyotter nah mate, not sure what languages you are hearing, but i am dutch myself and i speak fluent german and english, i will repeat again, german or Dutch sounds nothing to English, nope, nada, njet.
You guys can keep saying it, but its not true hahah, maybe some certain words are the same, ofcourse, and to compare the relation between german and dutch similar to dutch and english is simply ridiculous.

In het Nederlands is zeker zo ontspannend. Ook voor jou want dan hoef je niet steeds alles naar Engels te vertalen. Lekker lange video. Het geluid valt wat te ver weg als het van achteren komt. Dat je de video hebt opgenomen in een echte fysio praktijk draagt enorm bij aan de authenticiteit ervan! Je fluister stem is precies goed en je lach betoverend. ☺️
Ik krijg nog maar zelden kippenvel/kriebels bij asmr video's maar jou is het gelukt, vooral bij het oor gedeelte!

Plus in South Africa we have 11 different official languages. But I can only speak 2 of them.
I know Dutch (non-native) and once read a novel in Afrikaans. It took me a while though and I had to look up some words but all in all it was comprehensible. It's certainly an interesting language

Maybe it's just the nature of the languages, but there is a fascinating difference (cant put my finger on the right term, pitch or something else) between your Dutch and English voice.
That happens with so many languages. There's a BBC-correspondent in Ukraine for example that has quite a 'hard' sounding English voice, but when he starts to speak Ukrainian, his voice sounds so friendly, soft and soothing.

I can do the same thing with my tongue! It was like the “cool” thing to do in elementary school, specifically in third grade, way back in 1998-99. It’s entirely genetic but if you could do it everyone was jealous. Was the first time I felt like really special haha.

Oh, the Dutch language is like an Elf language. I didn't want to be offensive, I know for a non Hungarian, my language is like a jackhammer to the ears, and the grammar is a Minotaur's maze :)
MrBloodbunny that’s sweet to call dutch a elf language for me as a dutch to hear hungarian sounds nothing like a jackhammer but more like steam train express. At least that is what i can remember when i was young and we have dinner by a hungarian family
