    Olivia thank you because of you I went vegan you have shown me how to eat healthy I'm sorry you do not feel well you will soon you cured my colitis. Thanks to you I no longer suffer I also no longer think I am superior to others I had a horrible ego that died when I gave up eating dismembered animal body parts cut into small pieces how cruel I was to kill to eat. Now I only eat plants never felt better You really helped me transition I could see the purity in your eyes, and I wanted that for myself can't wait for you to come back healthier then ever beautiful. ❤️

      ColRizz99 haha you wouldn't be saying that if you saw me sick and bedridden before eating this way... this lifestyle saved my life.

      Olivia Budgen I'm sure that switching vegan did save you, I don't doubt that. Veganism is more natural than a diet filled with processed meats, carbs, plant oils, and empty calories when you remove those toxins you will feel a difference. However eating only plants in not at all a optimal for longevity, you're running on a carb metabolism and lacking an adequate amount of nutrients due to bioavailability aspect and some nutrients entirely which is scary, there's also anti nutrients/toxins in plants. Health problems will eventually surface, it happens with almost all vegans eventually unless you have amazing genetics or enough stored animal nutrients/saturated fat. If you feel it's the ethical thing to do then continue, but it's a sacrifice

    • @OliviaBudgen
      @OliviaBudgen  6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      ColRizz99 as I stated in this video: these health issues didn't begin to arise through my raw food journey. They are not new issues. They are old issues which I had been dealing with way before I started my health journey. Raw foods has helped, and is continuing to help, my body heal. Please respect my path and choices. Thank you.

      @@colsonrizzuto7973 Vegans consume massive amounts of plant oils.......... plant oils oxidize at a high higher level, which means they are going to form your cell membranes and will be dysfunctional for a long time before the body can break them down with natural oxidization in the cells. That being said with the lack of b12 methylation is reduced and thus the formation of phosphatidylcholine is impaired which further adds to health problems/Fatigue/brain fog etc etc

    Brain is 60% fat and being low fat for so long and eating so low calories can be dangerous maybe that’s one of the reasons why she still struggles with her health even her diet is very nutritional. We need DHA, and “essential” fatty acids for our brain and also normal hormones function. Tons of people wait around because they rather figure stuff out on their own instead of going to a holistic doctor. When I was fruitarian for 2 years I went to dr Klaper (vegan doctor) at true north health center who was very supportive of my raw vegan diet btw but he told me I needed more fats. Gave me clarity of what was going on with me health wise. Little things like that can make a huge difference because sometimes we do things based on our own knowledge and what we know is right/true even though there could be a missing element that cannot seen without that outside perspective.

      What fats? What are your sources of fat and how much do you eat daily?

    • @OliviaBudgen
      @OliviaBudgen  6 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      Thank you for the suggestion Viktorita :) I have increased my fat content over the past 6 months. I have been eating 1 - 2 avocados per day and also taking a very pure vegan DHA supplement.

      sixthof december im not a nuitrion expert and I'm not the one you were asking but here are the fats I've been eatting more of: flax- in my peanut butter and banana smoothie. Chia- chia pudding. tahinni- great on sweet potatoes or mixed with lemon juice as dressing for dark green salad. coconut butter- mix it with cacao powder to make a fudge. avocado obviously. I've been making a lot of cashew based cheese sauces like for macaroni and cheese recipes. I like the bonza chick pea protein pasta with it. Olives. Nutbutters. Full fat coconut milk, the canned kind- great in Thai inspired soups, milkshakes or ice cream recipes. I eat at least one of these fats everyday.

    Hey Olivia don't get to down on youreslf, super happy for how far you've come keep it up the road gets hard sometimes but that's what helps us to get stronger, I'm really glad you addressed that your not quitting being vegan and it's so true that people automatically think that just because you become raw that your healthy and regenerate yourself of degenerating and damging tissues, organs and cells you might have damaged for decades overnight, it's a journey don't forget it, we'll be here waiting for you happily, also the spiritual aspect is so important I think even more important when you feel that peace that only God can provide it makes it easier to keep going even through the struggles, remember you are loved and that your helping others and that can speak for itself :)

    GO OLIVIA !!!
    I love you and wish you the best in your time out. I can't wait to see you back and to hear all about the modalities you use to kick start that last stage of healing. I have no doubt at all that you would still be housebound if you hadnt gone raw and done all the work you have so far to improve your health. I was sick for years and then housebound for two years with chronic fatigue, adrenal burnout, leaky gut and poor kidney function. I never saw a doctor but i did see Tyler Tolman for an iridology session and he diagnosed those main problems along with many more minor ailments. I had been a lifelong junk food vegetarian and went raw plant based wholefoods vegan and probably 90 to 95 % fruit. I am like you in that i started working again when i started to feel better but i became overwhelmed after a few months. My energy levels went down and i started to stress over anything and everything again ... ie too much too soon and stress was always only a breath away. Since then i have gone OMAD or rather ORMAD.. one raw meal a day and my health has improved rapidly. I can feel a distinct change in my bodies energy vibration , ie when i was sick i felt my energy was not only depleted but out of whack.. i now feel like i am going through a good tune-up. I experience far less overwhelm and i am doing things i haven't done for about a decade. If you look into the OMAD "one meal a day" lifestyle you will learn a lot about the state of AUTOPHAGY, and how fasting for 22 to 23 hours every day leaves the rest of the day for cell regeneration & renewal and much faster healing. Another thought is Dr Robert Morse, apparently many have seen him for iridology readings and used his herbs along with a raw diet to heal. Whatever you do I will be thinking of you and sending you positive healing energy, and i cant wait to see you back here when you are ready. Much love your way and thank-you for all the work you do to help others. I have only this week been going through every one of your videos and i have started implementing some of your healthy tips & suggestions into my daily rituals xxx

    Naww hope you’re are feeling better soon Olivia, I love your ability to be open and transparent on social media, it takes a lot of strength to do so. Especially with the internet trolls.
    Do you think you’ll ever do more water fasting? I attempt a water every 3 months but never go as long as I set out too, because of all the emotions that come up. My physical health is pretty good, I don’t suffer from any symptoms but I do get extremely depressed at times and that is my main challenge as it becomes very debilitating.

    • @OliviaBudgen
      @OliviaBudgen  6 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      jacob Hibbard hi Jacob, thank you for opening up and being honest with me about your struggles too 🙏🏻 yes I will definitely be water fasting again... just a matter of trying to time it with other detox protocols I'm doing. I understand the emotional effects that arise can be so tricky to navigate and get through 😌 hopefully the depression has improved with your lifestyle and detox practices, and that empowers you to continue on this path ❤️ I believe in you x

    I used to be raw vegan as well, thinking it would "cleanse" my body. I got very sick. What helped was to introduce animal fat and organs to my diet. Cholesterol is a crucial building block for all cells and steroid hormones. Later I found out a lot of raw vegans go through the same process. Maybe it's something you want to look into. Hope you get better soon!

    I am new to You Tube and new to you page. After doing research on detoxing from eating only junk food to eliminating meat, meat products and dairy, I ran across your video which seemed to be the only one in my opinion very informative and exactly what I needed. I have never heard of Candida until you explained what it is and what it does. The doctors told me that I was deficient in vitamin D and no doctor told me about eating healthy. You have been very helpful for me. Thank you for this and for being transparent with your own health issues.
    I plan on watching your past videos and God bless you with the knowledge that you will need for your own personal growth. Thank you

      Hmm, well it could be a deep rooted emotional issue like when you had your first love or heartbreak or something like that during youth. I remember my first time falling in love and it was so strong of a feeling that I feel a big void because of the person I was at the time. I know I loved this person because I always felt good feelings around them. One day she wrote me a note saying she liked me, but I never said anything and developed insecurities. I remember thinking too much and was unable to talk around her. Then one day my dad got laid off and I moved away, without ever saying anything. Also, my friends were jerks and I got bad advice from everyone, and didn't trust my parents for that advice for whatever reason, they smoked alot of cigarettes and weren't lovey types of people. My friends were all jerks because they had their own problems, I remember like all my friends showed me porn videos.I turned to unhealthy coping habits in my teens, started watching porn alot (sorry if TMI) and eventually started smoking weed every day. For a period I was a clepto and got in trouble and went to juvy.. Remember this one girl was in a special cell and she was screaming uncontrollably one day.. She looked nice too I remember looking through the glass once at her and she was calm for a few seconds... I mean the list goes on. But my life took a decline after my first love experience. Since then I have been having very bad luck with girls. Most girls think im a douchebag, and I am in alot of ways. I haven't had any real strong feelings about anyone since. I have had crushes or really liked some girls but it was never the same. And alot of girls that I didn't have feelings for started showing interest in me after that(a few were in relationships already, one being my brothers ex GF) :(. Basically I still to this day wish I could feel that way about someone/myself. I notice that when I think of that feeling it lifts my anxiety but I have to think of her to get that feeling... Which is messed up because she is married now. I feel like I have to express my feelings to lift the curse but havent found a way to do so. I tried once but was too worried about how I sounded and didn't want to be too creepy. I just said something like "you were really nice and I remember you for that" which helped a little but not for long. I still feel those feelings for someone from my childhood and it causes me massive anxiety sometimes, and deep rooted anxiety which I didn't know was caused by that for a long long time, since I blocked the experience out for the most part after moving away. Now, I suffer from health problems and when I start getting healthy I start feeling too many things, lust being one of them and I am tired of it. I have been realizing how important companionship really is for health. Not sure if that helps you at all but if you do some "diving deep" you might find something similar. Maybe not the same experience but something like that, guilt or fear or feelings of worthlessness caused by something..
      But, on a more finite level, you could have an iodine deficieny which would require you to take selenium and topical iodine daily, which is a good idea for pretty much anyone. Also, I do think you need to eat some more calories.
      Also, you may not be open to but maybe try eating some meat for a weak and see if that helps. I know you have ethics and don't believe in that. I was like that for a while, a very long while. But I realized that I was trying to make up for some of my own emotional problems by using veganism to make me feel like a better person. I do think plant based diets are good and most people should be on them. But after eating grass fed meat for a period of time my outlook on it changed alot, and for a period of time I ate nothing but that and it didn't make me feel bad and it actually improved my digestion a bit and gave me more strength in life overall. It made my skin look alot better and overall I felt alot better on a 0 carb meat diet than I ever did as a vegan. Its not sustainable but it definitely changed my outlook. It also didnt heal my problem fully but it gave me nutrients I was lacking and helped me rebuild my body after being deficient for so long. My digestion is alot better after doing that for a few weeks. And wierdly, it wasnt constipating at all and actually when eating a fatty cut of meat it passed through easily with no fibre at all. However, my candida still comes back when I reintroduce starches and I feel like I need to go back to fruit again and do a proper detox. I definitely don't believe in torturing animals, but as far as morally I have realized that animals don't live forever and have a different outlook on death which is much more settling than fearing it. I think disrespecting animals is much worse than killing them. Its the disrespect for proper agriculture and people that is the main problem. That being said I do believe in the power of living foods and am going to continue on that path again until I feel either deficient or my candida goes away. I have never committed fully to that because of all that other problems in my life. But I feel its really important that I get this under control and I will be doing some pretty extreme detox and fully commit. That is one of my new years resolutions. I will also be adding turpentine into the mix. I have made it pretty far into detox before but started to eat starchy vegan food and have done that alot of times, and candida always comes back slowly after doing so.
      Ok, this is another TMI, but I remember one time I went as long as I could without thinking about sex in a lustful way or masturbating. And I remember my candida levels at the time seemed to dissapear after a few weeks. Unfortunately I got very horny one day and started doing it again, and even forgot about that. It took conscious effort to not think like that. And I literally have been so stressed about my life lately that I forgot about this experiment until typing this up for you because that is like my biggest addiction. Its so easy to do and sometimes I start playing with myself without even thinking about it because I have too much alone time. Which isnt that bad on itself but it gets me in a bad cycle where I think about lustful things and then feel bad about it afterward. Only in the past few years have I been able to really work on it. But I still have those moments where I give in to my perverted thoughts and get a release and then feel bad. And it can affect your self worth alot afterwards. I don't even derive very much pleasure from those thoughts its just that I feel like I need to be loved and since I don't have that I just tell myself whatever... Like its a drug. I let myself do it because the only person I am letting down is myself. Ive tried living my fantasies out in real life but I don't even get stimulated in reality by those thoughts. I can only do it in my own delusional fantasy world. When reality is there I am just like "why would I ever want to do that?" If I felt close to someone spiritually I would feel guilty about it. But most people are disconnected from their spiritual self. Its like fat albert "im fat because i eat and I eat because im fat" in a way.
      I know that financial inequality is a huge factor in anxiety and depression. Or feeling like you have something others don't or vise versa. Or the deep rooted thought of being dependent on a system you know is somewhat rigged and unfair. This can subconsciously or consciously make you feel many different ways and alot of them are subconsciously unhealthy. The world can make you question your own ethics. Like "why do I deserve to have this but they don't" And that can lead to depression as well. Or you can feel like you need to pretend to be something in order to make money and that can have an effect on your psyche. For me it took a long time to get over this and really I had to get signs from god to feel like I can escape those thoughts.
      Lastly, I can see you are somewhat of a perfectionist. And I think that causes you anxiety or is a symptom of that. You say your family is who you can talk to about your problems, and I am sure that is true but maybe they are not as supportive emotionally as you think they are. I think you need to really find someone who makes you feel loved, like butterflies in the stomach and all that. Someone who supports your emotional needs and can help you think about not just yourself but the beauty of everything and eternal thoughts. Thats what I am missing, and I think that is the missing link for me. I commit to things but when things get really hard I start to feel very lonely and like I cant talk to someone. Then I do things I don't feel proud of like watch stupid videos or eat things I know will cause me problems in the long run. I believe that its possible to get back to a state where you can tolerate most foods. I know that alot of people eat fast food and do other unhealthy things, but since they have someone they are close to or don't think about what they are doing or even know how bad it is for them they don't develop serious problems. Yea, there probably is something going on but nothing that causes real problems with their lives. I mean, I used to eat nothing but garbage as a kid and I was happy until that experience I had falling in love and all my regrets. Once I started learning about the darker forces in life is when I started to get depressed and slowly develop real health problems.

      Stevie Zion hi wow that was a huge comment 😮 thanks so much for taking the time to share your thoughts 🙏🏻 I definitely keep an open mind, and I have experimented with eating meat twice during my vegan journey, and both times my symptoms got much worse. Raw living foods not only aligns with my values, but make me feel the best out of all the foods I’ve tried. I understand the importance of healing on the emotional, mental and spiritual levels too ✨ and I have done, and am still doing, work with that 😊 and I have healed many belief patterns and past situations that weren’t serving me.

    I suggest you eat some grass fed beef, wild salmon, and sardines. I did not eat that when I was younger. I avoided a lot of animal protein. However, I think that a bit here and there makes a difference. It is all that processed junk on a regular basis that needs to be avoided. I read 4 Medical Medium books this year. All the best. Hope you are feeling better. I'm curious about the 'fat intake' bc I remember you saying you did a little bit more fat than DG's book recommended? Just recalling some videos Tannyraw did where she has talked a few times about how she has to be pretty careful about the balance of fat bc I think she immediately starts seeing issues of she eats too much fat. Also, it's possible that maybe you aren't eating quite enough? I know Megan Elizabeth had this issue during a difficult breakup. I think she then started eating some or more 'cooked' vegan foods. But the calories she was getting in just weren't sufficient and in the long run, I believe her health started to suffer. I support you 1000% and wish you the very best and speedy healing.

    Back in the 1930's there was an epidemic of goiter and thyroid problems in the great lakes area of America. It turns out the soil there is severely depleted of Iodine. Doesn't matter what they ate because nothing had Iodine in it. I'm pretty sure i remember reading that Australia has a massive problem with depression and an article said that Australian soil has hardly any magnesium in it. Just something for you to research. Crops are constantly planted over and over again in the same soil with only NPK added to it......no other mineral is added. Maybe all of our problems are coming from different mineral deficiencies.

    All of our ancestors ate meat. Factory farming is awful and I don't believe they should be tortured ever. But meat is literally the building blocks of our bodies... Veganism is essentially fasting. So in the beginning you're gonna feel amazing cause fasting is wonderful but not when you do it too long. And years is way too long. I eat only grass fed beef and I barely cook it. I have never felt better. I wish you the absolute best on your journey. You should keep the fruit and start to incorporate some fish and beef and you will feel a world of difference.

    I'm not here to hate, so if my comments sound so, I promise it is unintentional.
    I just celebrated my 1st anniversary as a strict carnivore. In that time, I lost 34lbs whilst increasing a little in musculature. Not big into working out. Certainly did no exercise for weight loss.
    My arthritis from my surgery 14 years ago (reattachment of little finger and other repairs on left hand) went within two weeks.
    Despite migrating to the States and going through incredible stresses, I have been able to handle the stress to a degree that has surprised me.
    I lost weight, but I don't look in any way emaciated, the way my 20 year old vegan brother looks.
    My body feels better. I am happier. And because I care, I am here to plead with people to look into this with an open mind. For while I have come across no shortage of vegans whose bodies couldn't handle their diet, I have yet to come across one person for whom carnivory wasn't unbelievably amazing for their health.
    Just watch for the temporary "keto flu" by adding extra salt until your body gets used to be lower insulin levels, and you'll likely skip any and all negative side effects.
    Everything else will go amazingly.
    I am literally pleading with you, Olivia. Try it for a month. High fat beef. See what happens. Let your body tell you what it thinks of it.

      Breathing Oxyjenn I have tried incorporating healthy cooked foods into my diet twice before, but it makes my digestion and other symptoms a lot worse. What I'm dealing with doesn't have to do with what I'm eating. I am improving 🙏🏻 thank you x

    Great video Olivia! I hope that you'll feel better soon and I'm glad that you have direction for your detox. 🙂 Incase you'd like a second opinion, I recommend the detox specialists through the Our Botanicals website, especially the ones trained by Dr. Morse N.D (they do Skype calls). All the best! ❤

    Don't feel guilty, its way easier to help others and give other people tips and advices than helping yourself.

    Hey Olivia, I just chanced upon this video and from my Ayurveda background, you look very similar to my body type. And as much as raw has helped you healed a lot of your past problems our body type requires good fat and protein to remain healthy. Perhaps it is something you can look into? Perhaps cooking veggies lightly as well. I hope it isn't too intruding, first time here and not knowing your past. I hope you'll feel better real soon! Love, Dawn

      dawn for life hi Dawn, welcome, and thanks for sharing your opinion in a loving and encouraging manner 🙏🏻 I have tried the Ayurvedic approach before, and unfortunately it didn't work for me ❤️ so happy it's working for you though.
