For those wondering, basically it's just 2-part resin with some color/glitter mixed in, much cheaper just buying some quality 2-part resin. I love liquid diamonds brand or you can use art resin or little windows brand resin. You'll save lots of money.
Would I be able to use it on metal? Im trying to customize a charm and looking around for my best options
@@imjusthereforthefood1705are you slow?
Very helpful tutorial - and super informative. Thanks so much :)
Great video, It would have benefited with a link or two to suppliers
Super interesting.
Is this color mixture will be heat residents....
Is it safe for skin...
Love this, great video, thanks for posting! Best wishes!
EXCELLENT Thank you very much indeed
Will this work on glass blanks?
Hi Ri Mi and fran zainal. Thanks for your comments. You're right that this product is not 'enamel', but it is 'cold enamel'. Cold enamel is a pigmented epoxy resin which gives the effect of enamel without the use of high temperatures, and also allows an enamelled effect to be applied to a wider range of materials and surfaces such as pewter, or even cardboard!
In the UK, this is a standard naming convention for this product.
I hope this helps to clarify this product for you.
Don't teach us what is this. The work with ANY kind of enamel is a hard work and necessite a big attention, experience.
This is only coloured resin. That's all!
+Agata Needlework you certainly NEVER used real enamel you would know the difference. It needs lots of time before you master it well. I do both and real enamel is an art that I still have to train a lot to master when resin is an easy craft. Try it, you'll see the difference.
Anyway in France you can be sued by the state ( fraud inspectors) if you use the word enamel (even saying cold enamel) for resin. You may use this word only for something that has been fired over 600°C
Where to buy?
Hi. You can purchase our Cold Enamel kits from our website here: www.homecrafts.co.uk/home-crafts/enamelling Thanks!
Does it adhere well, or eventually crack? I'm looking at adding to copper and soldered items. Thanks
Can you use this on tibetian silver pendants to give them a pop of color
I would have liked to see the demonstation pieces after they had dried.
Which kind of colors do u use
I want to try this! Love it. Clear instructions. Wonder what brand you're using?
Hello, i visited your website and i only found be normal colors, i can't find the sparkling one. can you please tell me how to get it

Do u ship to the US
LOVE your video!!! Is there something like this you could use to paint coins?? Thank you
Hi Patty
For painting coins, you might find that Pebeo Vitrail is just what you're looking for! You can find it here:
www.homecrafts.co.uk/pebeo-vitrail-colours
How many colors do you offer? I'm also interested in trying this out!
Very clear. Thank you xx
This looks like resin. Is it safe to handle without gloves? Should you wear a respirator?
It is resin
can this be used in solid gold or pure gold?
Hi thank you for the video. Is cold enameling same as easy cast resin?
literally the same thing
Ok. I got my answer below. Thanks, but here is another question. Can I cast with cold enamel like I do with easy cast?
Hey, I live in USA do you ship to here or have a US store? Thanks!!!
What kind of hardener you used???
it's a 2 part epoxy, they come with hardener
Hello, I am Chinese, where can I buy your color resin. Thank you
It would have been great to see the end result?
Hi! I'd love to know where you purchased the cold enamel kit please! Thank you
Hi Ashley. You can purchase our Cold Enamel kits from our website here: www.homecrafts.co.uk/home-crafts/enamelling Thanks!
Where can I buy this?
Could I use cold enamelling to make buttons which will be machine washed? I knit jumpers but find it hard to get buttons which I like, so I thought of making them myself with an enamelling kit.
Hi Roslyn. Once hardened, the cold enamel resin is quite resilient, so certainly has the potential to be used for creating buttons! You'll still need a blank to cover with the cold enamel as it's too brittle to be used as a button on its own - maybe try coating self-cover buttons with cold enamel?
Hi Tori, unfortunately not at the moment however we are looking into shipping overseas. If you sign up to our newsletter that will keep you up to date with everything thats happening at Homecrafts. Thanks.
Thank you !!
Hi, can you tell me plase from where can i buy this cold enamels? And if you sell them, can you send it to Bulgaria?
This is coloured resin. Nothing special. If u want the same effect use nail polish. I tied and it's good.
She doesn't go over how to remove residue and overrun.
how durable is it? is it water proof after drying? water resistant?
This product is impenetrable, so water resistant, and in good conditions it resist long times. But don't expose this "cold enamel" at the sunlight.
So resin?
Where can I buy this cold enamel? Is there a web site? Please let us know.
it's just 2 part epoxy, just look for one that sets in 30 min or so
A little bit more of a focus on the actual final product too would have been good rather than fuzzy swoop over them with the camera. I couldn't get a glimpse of the cardboard box effect or tile.
whether the video met w your approval or not she was gracious to share anything
WHERE TO BUY? I've looked all over and cannot find this product! How many times do people have to ask before there is an answer?
Hi. You can purchase our Cold Enamel kits from our website here: www.homecrafts.co.uk/home-crafts/enamelling Thanks!
👍👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏😍😍😍😍
please don't call that enamel. Its is a tecnic of applying resins, I means plastic.....And it is a VERY EASY tecnic.
.there is the same difference between resin (I'm glad it's forbiden to speak of enamel for this material in France) and enamel as between a child coloring a paper where he applies the colors following the numbers written and oil paintings done by painters.
Enamel is a noble tecnic very difficult to master. REsin has only one difficulty : it can be toxic when you use it
Fran , you are perfectly right. This is like liquid glitter and it looks a little unseriously. Ya, it is beautiful but THIS IS NOT ENAMEL!
And you, mr. Abel Babel, don't thinck you are so smart it u don't know what is the difference behind THIS and Enamel.
Pretty rude way of explaining your point.
+@@rebeccabramley4280 I agree. What's all the anger for? I believe it's called enamel only because the finished product somewhat resembles it.
Both are layers applied over metal, but the resin can be applied over other substrates, like cardboard, because there is no heat involved. I also agree that enameling is an art one must cultivate, but "cold enameling" is a craft most can enjoy from the start. Any skill, including cold enamel, will improve as you practice.
not trying to be mean..but a suggestion, better mic for less crackling and you can edit out those tones in protools, but good editing otherwise.
Very misleading -- if it's cold, it's NOT enamel.
Just chill out - professional jewellers use the terms hot and cold enamelling to differentiate between enamelling with glass and an enamel like finish with resin. Now if a jeweller with 20+ years says that why should you worry?
That is rough AF
doesn't look that good.
Can it chip? Do you have to bake it?
