I got lost in the San Rafael swell for 2 days! I drove through this pass in my stock Toyota Highlander lol. I pushed that thing to the limits on this trip. We had no idea where we were going but we had a map that helped a little. Couldn’t imagine what It would have been like if we didn’t have one. The Atv maps are confusing as hell out there. We attempted to drive through devils race track but turned around. Instead we managed to get out through the north coal wash to the outer rim . Felt all the emotions on this trip. Looking back on it I can’t believe we got out of there. Lmao.
Jared........always enjoy your videos...living in Emery County the last 42 years I enjoy seeing how others explore it too...The arch you've mentioned is better known as the 'Slipper Arch' to my knowledge...Yes...also 'Fix it Pass' has been repaired 2 years ago...when you pass a Prius coming down it you know it's 'Fixed' (: Maybe we'll cross paths someday on the Swell...enjoy !
I love sleeping in my rig. I built a sleeping/storage platform in my 80 Land Cruiser and it’s so awesome just to stop and jump in the back and good to go.
It’s by far my favorite. It’s my least favorite thing about my kids getting older and more of us all going on adventuress. Tent camping is going to have to be the way for us for a while.
It just blows me away how you keep finding more and more amazing trails to explore. Incredible scenery. Interesting edit with no music, I feel you pulled it off very nicely.
This trail was... amazing. It’s one of my top choices for when you come visit. Music is one of the hardest parts of editing for me. I have a hard time finding music I like. On occasion people complain about the music and say they just want to hear the trail. It’s so hard to do that especially with kids. I’m often having conversations with them at camp or while driving that either make no sense without context or add no value to the video. Not to mention all of the wind noise and other issues. But this one I was alone, wind was controllable with the wind sock so I tried it. I personally like videos with music better but this was a fun test.
I’m from the area and would love to go with you on one of your trips. I could help film or whatever you need. Plus it’s always a good idea to have two rigs rather than just one.
Awesome area , I need to check it out sometime. Looked like a fun little trip you had . Looking forward to your next adventure . Take care and be safe .
Turbo Toilet looks like a pretty good option if you want to catch waste all of the time. Most of the time we can just dig a hole and put the toilet over the hole and burry the waste. But in some areas it’s required to catch so having the option for both is nice. I really like how compact the Turbo is though.
